Beautiful fit that made me forget about my weight gain!
I had a tough time shopping for my newly bigger ass since I got injured had to stop running. So when it came time to look for a dress for a formal event, I found it depressing. (For your reference my hips are 43" when measured across my butt, and I weigh 150 pounds.) This dress made me feel great without being self conscious of my butt or belly pooch. The draping is lovely and forgiving of all flaws. I wore a regular bra (hooray) and Spanx. You NEED Spanx - not only to hide the cottage cheese but to hide everything else since this dress is unlined and VERY see-through. Nude Spanx , not black. I felt beautiful and comfortable and danced like no one was watching!

Beautiful color. Way too short for me.
Pros: The color is stunning. Cons: This "dress" is extremely short on a tall person. I rented the 4 and 6 but only got the 4. It was tight across my shoulders but more-than-ample on my hips. Had I worn it as a dress, I would not have been able to raise my hands above my hips without exposing my saddle bags...or more. I wore it with skinny jeans and got lots of compliments.

Unique. Sexy. Perfect for cold weather event.
Pros: Fit my 38.5" hips and flat 34A chest like a glove. Perfect for an outdoor event in South Carolina in February. The material is thick wool crepe. The length was perfect for my 5' 9" height and the slit at the knee was SEXY! Cons: The dress was ready for retirement. Too much dry cleaning meant the color was faded and tired. The boning was busting through the lining and there was a tiny hole on the back seam, right on my butt. But the incredibly professional customer service at RTR meant that I got sincere apologies and a full refund. Excellent customer retention. I have rented since then and been very happy.

Great concept and easy to wear dress. But flat chests beware.
Pros: The lace sheath is stretchy and hugs you in all the right places. Very sexy. Cons: If you have a flat chest like me, the top is big and will require padding and/or taping. this was true for the S and M. Also, the slip is much smaller than the dress so I had to use the M slip for the S dress. This dress is beautiful. Unfortunately, it's also very popular which meant that I got two dresses that were ready for retirement. Both the 6 and 8 had snags in the lace and stains on the slip. The incredible customer service at RTR meant that I got sincere apologies and a full refund. Way to retain a loyal customer!

This was my back-up style. I ordered the 42 but got a 44. The 44 was a nice fit on my 38.5" hips, but WAY too big on my 34A bust. I am wearing a padded bra in these pictures and it was still too big. If I had worn this dress, it would have required a lot of padding and taping. The material is stretchy so the 42 would have fit my hips too. One drawback, if you wear Spanx, you are in danger of the leg slit revealing your undergarment. I can not go without Spanx so this was an automatic reject for me. Also the seam on the slit wasn't well pressed so it sort of looked like it gaped open a bit. This would be a stunning dress on a long torso with full bust. And the slit up the leg is super sexy!

Beautiful dress that made me feel like a goddess!
I wore this for a "Hollywood Glamor" theme event. It was the perfect blend of elegant and unique. The silk material is so soft and luxurious (careful with your accessorizes as it is also delicate and may snag easily.) Cons: I have a VERY flat chest {34A} but very ample hips {38.5"}. I rented the 6L and the 8L. The 8L swallowed my upper body but fit perfectly around my hips. The 6L fit better on my upper body but was tight on my hips. I used fashion tape from the top of my shoulder all the way down to my breast bone. I bought a thick push-up bra and padded it with silicone inserts. I had to do a lot of taping - silicone insert to bra, bra to boobs, etc - to keep everything in place. I also wore two - yes TWO - pair of Spanx since the 6L was tight on my hips. So if that sounds like a lot of work, it is. Pros: NO ONE else will be wearing a similar dress and you will feel like a million bucks. Once I taped myself in and crammed my butt into my Spanx, I felt like a beautiful statuesque movie star all night. And my "fake" boobs looked awesome! The dress just flows when you walk. It is so well made and so unique. The color is darker than the RTR picture suggests. More of a coppery peach tone. Flash bulbs make it appear more pink. I wore 5" heels. (Probably could have gone with the R instead of the L) I pared it with simple jewelry - emerald tear-drop earrings and a long gold lariat and crystal bangles. Even with all the work, I loved this dress and would own it in a heartbeat!

They were heavy, and hurt my earlobes after 5 hours, but I loved them. They looked fabulous, and I got a lots of compliments. Clip-ons hurt! (I would totally rent them again.)

Flowy, pretty, simple.
This is a nice flowy frock, that looked cute for a casual party. It wasn't right for me, as I have a short waist and the tie belt kept creeping it's way up under my boobs. The dress rides above the lining when belted and if you have curvy hips (like me), it can make you look a little bigger than you are. Also, BEWARE STATIC CLING. I wore this under a puffy coat, and by the time I arrived at my destination, it was stuck to the coat then stuck to my body. Luckily someone had lotion so I could control the static, but I almost had a serious wardrobe malfunction on my hands. If you rent in the winter, have a can of Static Guard on hand. I'd recommend this for a boho gal, with no curves...

Lovely accent to a hot dress.
These were great. I got them as mystery bling, and they were the perfect compliment to the red lace dress. ONE THING: One was missing a rubber backing, so it slipped off my ear three times during the night. Major bummer, but I still really liked the earrings.

Stunning red that turns heads!
I LOVE this dress. The color is amazing. The style is sexy and sophisticated, and I felt gorgeous. BUT it is not for a flat chested gal! I am a 34A cup (maybe a "nearly A") and I had to stuff my bra with two pads in each cup AND use fashion tape under my arms pits and the middle of my chest to keep the top from looking too big. (I included a picture to detail the space at the top.) I rented a 6 and an 8. The 6 would not go over my 38.5" hip/butt area. The 8 was perfect on that half of my body. If this was mine, I would have bought the 8 and altered the top to fit my flat chest. The material is yummy. It's soft and silky and lined. So well made! The length is perfect for a tall girl. The neckline is so sexy. I'm not one for red lace, but this dress just works. Despite being taped in, I felt so beautiful.

Great concept. Difficult to pull off.
I got this as a back-up dress and the size 8 didn't fit on my 38.5" hips at all. I'm not good at guessing euro-sizing but I should have rented the 10, not the 8. I love the concept though! It's sexy and funky and has a great plunging back. The color is darker in person. The fabric felt silky and soft. Just didn't work for me.

This was a back-up style for me. The 6 did not even come close to fitting over my 38.5" hips. The top, however was a perfect fit on my 34A bust. But it lands in a weird spot and would likely need to be taped down to avoid "wardrobe malfunctions'. The color was great, and the quality of the dress was very nice. Since it was not my first choice, I was not all broken hearted that it didn't work for me.

This was a back up dress. The medium did not fit around my 38.5" hips. Pear shapes beware. The color was pretty, but it's not a statement dress. It's a safe dress if you're wanting to show a little leg, but hide your mid-section.

I felt fabulous! And I could still move around...
Fit me like a glove. I usually wear a 6 in mass retail (Gap, Banana, Ann Taylor etc.) but in high fashion, I'm usually an 8. This dress comes in Euro sizing so I ordered the 8 and 10. The 10 was perfect for my 38.5" hips and 34A bust. I wore a padded convertible bra, with one strap. I had to tape the non strapped cup to my chest because my boob kept popping out - beware boob escape. I also wore Spanx to smooth everything out. Even though the dress has a slit, there was no Spanx peaking out when I crossed my leg. The dress was comfortable and unique and I absolutely love the color. The filter on my camera makes it look red, but it is really a fall foliage orange color. The wool crepe was perfect for a late September wedding. I was never too hot. And since my 4-year-old son was in the wedding, it was very important that I be able to move a lot. This dress was great for function and fashion. I would rent it again in a heartbeat! And because I love being a little funky, I wore gold shoes and navy nail polish!

I loved this romper! I wear a 6 and this fit perfectly. Shorts were roomy, but not baggy. Most importantly, they hid my awful lower-back tattoo that I got when I was 20 and too stupid to know better. I loved the plunging back effect. I felt sexy, but my front was completely covered. I used fashion tape to keep the front from gaping open when I sat down. You have to be careful to sit up straight so you don't flash side-boob. The tie drapes down your back nicely. It's a cute vintage-esqe, hip and sexy romper!
