Size down, for sure. Shoulders will still be too large- fits like you borrowed your boyfriend's coat. Stylish and warm for a cold NYC business trip.

I believed the other reviews (against my best judgement) and went with the 10 Regular, as the Long was unavailable. Big mistake. Too short even if I wore flats. I'm 5'10. Disappointed.

Great dress. Nice color and fit well except in the chest. It was unwearable due to major cleavage. No way (not enough material) to even pin it. (I'm a C cup.)

What the.....???
RTR suggested to rent the XL. Waaaaaaay to big. Looked like a maternity jumpsuit. Can't speak to the other sizes, but too large and too much material in the midsection. Too much to even belt and look cute. Great pattern and style, but I'll-fitting and a miss for me.

OMG. Cute coat, but three sizes too big. I felt like I was wearing a parachute. Even looked too big belted. This was great on a flight with the short sleeves, but felt sloppy because it was so large.

Goes from day to night
Great dress. I normally wear a 6, but the 8 fit perfectly. You can adjust the straps, which helps. I wore this to work (I'm in sales, so I pushed the cleavage line) with a white blazer, then took off the blazer at night.
