As always, a snug but flattering fit from Hervé; this dress is well made out of sturdy, comfortable material and is a lovely shade of navy. I wore this for my sheltered-in-place first wedding anniversary, during which my husband and I enjoyed a "fancy meal" (or at least we dressed up for it! ;-) taken out from one of our favorite restaurants in our living room. This bra really held up throughout a night of intense dancing at a friend's wedding. And it has lasted beyond that initial use! This is a beautiful dress. I am partial to lace dresses, but this one is exceptional. First off, it is a very vibrant, fun blue color. The perfect shade for a spring wedding-not too bold so you're stealing the bride's thunder, just the right amount of color. The bodice is fitted, which is nice, and particularly flattering to those who have an hourglass shape, as this highlights your waist. The cutout in the back is also very fun, yet not over the top. All in all, I think this dress is a fabulous choice for any guest of a spring wedding. It is perfectly classy, with a longer length and conservative cut, but has very young, fun attributes as well such as its vibrant color and the cutout on the back. I highly recommend it! Also, this was the first backless dress I ever wore, so I finally discovered/used a strapless bra. I bought the NuMe from this site and it served perfectly, and has continued to do so! I have subsequently used the NuMe bra on two additional occasions, so I also highly recommend it as a companion to this dress.

I wore these earrings with RTR's Herve Leger "There She Goes" dress, which is a purplish grey color. Since I was attending a formal event I was concerned that the dress in and of itself, while gorgeous, might not be fancy enough. These earrings saved the day! When coupled with the Herve dress I looked just right-the perfect level of fancy for my event! This is a really gorgeous dress- the color is beautiful, and the patterned lace is lovely. My one complaint is there is a slit in the back that went up much higher than I was expecting. Thus, while I would normally wear a size 0, I ended up wearing a 2 in this dress, as I felt much more comfortable in terms of the slit wearing the larger size. Admittedly, the fabric of this dress doesn't give very much at all, so the slit is important in terms of mobility, but be forewarned that it is significantly higher than it looks on the model. Also, I thought the dress was somewhat shorter than it looked on the model (ironic since, being so much shorter than these lovely models, I almost never have this complaint). For those picking a dress in which to interact with their boyfriend's family (as I was), be forewarned that you may want to go a size up from what you normally wear to counteract having too short a dress on while meeting the parents.

I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this rental. This is not a dress I would normally pick out for myself; but it worked out perfectly for New Year's! This dress is comfortable (surprising, given that it is covered in sequins), true to size, and very flattering on. I love the classic cut coupled with the attention grabbing sequins, which keeps this dress fun and young. As this dress is fully lined and long sleeved it also made for a great New Year's choice, as it kept me warm enough in the January cold, yet I also didn't overheat once inside a people filled room! One word of caution: when you are renting a dress for a big holiday like New Year's, get your rental squared away well in advance, as it is a high volume time for dress rentals, and also expect your package to arrive later rather than earlier on its date of delivery.
