Firstly, I received tons of compliments on this dress. Tons! I felt very pretty and feminine. I paired it with cowboy boots just above the ankle since the wedding was in a rustic location. My only complaint is the bust. In photos the model is flat-chested. Since I have a very small bust I figured this would be a great fit. I normally wear a size 0 in empire dresses and a 2 in dresses with fitted top. The size 2 was just a wee-bit tight zipping up, but fully comfortable once it was fully zipped (in other words, I could breathe easily and did not feel cramped after eating!). The bust area, however, gaped open a little, forcing me to use up-sizing breast inserts to fill it out. That is not what the photo looked like on the model! (Unfortunately for this review I was forced to choose between “too small”, “just right” and “too large”. I’d say various portions of this dress made it to be all of the above!) Secondly, why, why, why do designers make dresses with unadjustable straps? I will never understand. The straps were waaaaay too long. Because the top had a snug fit, this caused the straps to bunch and hang loosely. Not an attractive look. Thankfully in my coffers I own various cinch clips for this very reason. It was a bit complicated because there were two sets of straps. This made it look a bit weird from the back but I wore my hair down so it was not noticeable. Without the cinch clips, however, I could not have worn the dress. I’d say this dress (because of the very long straps and tight bodice) is built for a narrow frame but long torso. But with a little patience, cinch clips, and breast inserts, the overall look “appeared” flawless. If you’re looking for a “zip & go” outfit, this is not the dress for you. But if you’re willing and able to invest a bit of time on “temporary tailoring”, then this makes for a lovely garden wedding dress. It’s flouncy and fun and flirty and sassy. Side note: on the way home I got a flat tire. When the tow-truck driver arrived he complimented my dress and said i looked beautiful lol. It was funny to hear a tow-truck driver gush over a ‘fit. He then honked his horn as he pulled away and followed up with a message saying to keep his number in case I ever need anything haha So yeah, the dress was a hit.

The pattern and material are so much more so in person. This dress looks quite pretty in the photos. I was hoping for a feminine, resort-style summertime vacation patio dress. The dress was very overpowering. Layers and layers and layers of material, and the top of the dress was enormous- definitely made for a taller, bustier person. And it was VERY long. Even with 4 1/2 inch heels the dress was dragging the floor. I was unable to wear this dress.

I paired this dress with nude, sandaled peeptoe booties for dinner out with friends on an out of town trip. This is one of those dresses that is soooo flattering but also sporty and feminine, all at the same time! I paired this with a cute little red leather summertime clutch- perfect for warm August night in Atlanta. The back of the dress MAKES the dress. My boyfriend could't keep his hands off my shoulders! I would say to other "petite" women out there that while the inseam was too snug to go to a smalelr size, the larger size was a bit baggy in the legs. The romper is fully lined and very well-made, but I think this would be better on a taller person. The pant length was so long that the touched my ankles, taking away from the overall "sassy-flirty" look of the outfit. I actually rolled up the pant-legs, despite that the lining made it more difficult to do so. But tapered pants that sort of baggy come across as frumpy if they are too long. I believe a slender, tall woman would like this romper a LOT!

I wore this outfit for a professional soccer match in a large sporting stadium and it was great paired with a small, brightly colored turquoise blue Tory Burch cross-body micro-purse. This was a very easy dress to wear to dinner. Comfortable and with an interesting collar, which is important for an event where you're mostly sitting. I wish the sleeves had been a little bit shorter, but I understand the designer was going for the bell-shape overall effect for the dress. I think a taller person with long arms and legs might be better suited for this look because of the longer-style short sleeves. But overall, I enjoyed wearing this dress and have no serious complaints!

I loved the thick material on this dress; Florida autumns are quite warm but the colors and fabric was great for transitioning into fall from summer. This is one of those dresses you'd love to "own" as a wardrobe stable because it wears well, never wrinkles, and can either be dressed up for night, or kept more subdued for office meetings. Both times I rented this dress for an evening event, and I received tons of compliments. The color was great for entering the holiday season in Florida. Especially since the material is linen- lightweight enough for those balmy early winter Florida evenings. Keep in mind because it is linen that it requires a bit of steaming prior to wearing. And it's not super for keeping on all day because linen does need a steamer refresh after a few hours. But for both events that I rented it for, it worked great as I only had it on for around four hours in total. It's an overall great dress, at a practical price for one of those "have to attend" corporate career events.

This was a very cute dress. It did need to be steamed prior to wearing because the material wrinkles more easily than some materials, and renters should note the back is slightly longer than the front, so you won't want to crumple the back of it while sitting, or else it starts to hang a little weird. I wouldn't necessarily rent this for a once-in-a-lifetime special event, but for a corporate daytime event it looked feminine and flattering paired with a black BCBG blazer. Overall very cute and sassy for the price!

This was a fabulous dress- easy to take from day to night. I paired it with nude heels and a Prada trench for an important office meeting. The fit was flattering but professional. The color said "WOW"! The detail of the faux-sash in front allowed for very simple accessories to make the whole thing "pop". I received multiple compliments all day. The looks is smart but energetic, with a little zest! And the dress stayed pressed all day--- even with humidity and rain it never crumpled or wrinkled in the least! I would rent this one again in a heart beat. Especially for the cost!

I didn't wear this dress for two reasons- 1) It was sized VERY, VERY small and 2) The zipper didn't work right. The zipper chosen had too small of "teeth" to easily slide over the very thick material. And since the top of the dress and the bottom skirt were made of different fabrics, that zipper needed to be able to work with both, and it just wasn't the right grade zipper for it. The dress was quite awful anyway- very heavy and felt very old-fashioned in person, and not in a lovely, classic way but more like great great grandma! :)

I rented this for a work function and wasn't going for the "wow" factor but I did feel it was quite drab once I received it. The material is very thick and it attracts everything like cat hair, loose threads, fibers- everything clings to it. Oddly it feels almost like a light flannel and I wasn't expecting a sleeveless dress to feel this "wintery". Also, the dress was enormous. I should have gotten the size 0. The size 0 wasn't available and usually for work events I don't mind the fit being more conservative not not clingy, so I thought the two would he just fine. But it was so big and baggy in the waist that I had to belt it. I wore the dress because it's what I had planned to wear, but it was certainly a very forgettable, boring dress that fits like a cardboard box. I would not rent this one again.

I was hoping that the dress would not have the negative traits that other reviewers mentioned, but unfortunately it was not flattering at all. It was cut for a very, very petite person- Maybe someone who is extremely thin with a short torso. Although I have thin arms, under the arms was very tight, squeezing the underarm skin in an unattractive way. Because of this I didn't wear the Size 0 and sized up to the Size 2. Although the Size 2 was somewhat better under the arms, it was very baggy in the abdomen and lower back. Overall, it was not a good fit. The material and print were beautiful, but the cut was awkward.

I wore this to a formal masquerade ball with a mask and it looked just perfect. The material is gorgeous, although like other reviewers have said, the bodice is more of a deep champagne color, which I actually preferred to the cream that it looks in photos. The length and fit were perfect, as this designer's dresses are almost always the perfect fit for petite frames. I loved this dress so much that I hated to take it off. I felt like Holly Golightly in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Very sophisticated. Lovely!

There are some pros- the color is lovely and the dropped hem in back is flirty and fresh. Now for the cons--- I believe this dress in a larger size for a larger frame might work well. But for a petite, small-breasted woman, there was simply too much dress to work with. The material was VERY thick and when I tried it on I felt like a linebacker. Because it was so thick, it didn't "hang" properly and was quite stiff. I think for a curvier person the dress could WOW! But for a small-framed person, it just didn't work. It does run a bit small, but I think for me a larger size would not have been any more flattering.

The dress is gorgeous- color is beautiful. I usually wear a Size 0 in DVF dresses, however, but this particular style runs SMALL. so you may wish to order your second size one size up. Also, the dress is EXTREMELY sheer and form fitting on the sides and rear. Tough to wear much underneath it, except for spanks. I prefer my dresses to be well lined so that I do NOT have to wear a slip, so that was kind of disappointing. But otherwise, lovely dress!
