The fabric is like a knit, very heavy and thick, it makes you feel amazing wearing it. It is a sheath pull over, no zippers or anything and it was a little hard to get on without ruining my make up or hair, but once on it fit wonderfully and was comfortable too.

As you can see from a few of the other user's photos, this dress looks very different than the one modeled. It's obviously the light/flash of a camera that makes the center pieces look like shiny silver, but in reality this black stretchy dress's inserts are nothing more than black lace with bits of gold threads within. You'd have to constantly be underneath a flood spotlight to have the lace light up and look like it does in RTR's photo. This is a black on black dress.

The color was not what I was expecting, in some photos it looks royal blue, in the main photo is looks dull dark blue...in person, in MY eyes, it looked like a bright navy blue or a dark superman blue...it was stunning. As with most lace dresses you rent, there were a few snagged areas that were hardly noticeable. The fit was amazing, I felt sexy in it. The shoulders annoyed me as it felt like they were constantly falling off my shoulders... but not.

First off this dress is heavy! Think cable-knit sweater 5 pounds heavy...it doesn't look it though. Thanks to the heavy thick material you don't have to worry as much about your lady lumps but I still recommend Spanx. I paired this with nude heels for my birthday dinner and had everyone staring. Makes for some great cleavage while remaining classy.

The photo is very accurate, it's shiny, it's big enough to hold your giant checkbook-sized wallet and a few makeup items, cell phone, keys, etc. The one I received looked a tad bit worn from the hands that had been on it but it was very slight and I doubt anyone noticed.

The color is dead-on; it was comfortable and everyone loved it. My back up size for this dress looked like it had been through an old washing machine because the lace overlay had shrunk and the liner underneath was at least 6 inches longer than the shrunken outer lace...good thing I didn't need to wear that one because it was completely unwearable. I try not to order lace dresses anymore for this very reason, plus it snags more so you're more likely to receive a 'worn out' dress...you may get lucky though.

Short enough to be sexy, long enough to feel confident. Most importantly, it was comfortable!

Large enough to catch peoples eye; received so many compliments. Was not overly heavy - clasp stayed secure. Finishes an outfit!

This fits like a dream and isn't too thin but is similar to a spandex type of material. The dress is navy but the quilted shoulder is black leather and you can't tell, but the silver chains actually dangle and are sewn at the cross-sections...it looks stunning!

The dress I received was a bit damaged but nothing too noticeable; the light pink color is beautiful. Although I the 46R fit like a glove, my back up dress (romantic sage gown) fit like a glove as well and it was a 42R! I would have had to constantly hold my dress up to walk, or wear 4+ inch heels, even though it was a R and I'm already tall. Yes the sides are sheer but if you have C cup or less and use fashion tape you'll be fine.

With short 2 inch heels the length (although R was not recommended for my height) was perfect; my shoes barely showed and it was just enough where I did not have to pick up my dress for every little thing. Designer sizing is ridiculous as I wore a 46R in D&G Powder Twist Gown; despite the range in sizing both fit like a glove. Only cons: the snap buttons are worn down/loose and kept coming undone. The lace shoulders are the same color as the dress, not white.

The picture doesn't do the detail in the shoulder sections justice, I got so many compliments. I ordered multiple back up dresses, all in 8 and 10 and this dress was the only I had to wear the 10 in; there isn't any stretch so the larger size felt best around my hips. I wore pewter heels with it.
