This Dress is My Everest
Why why why why why will this dress not go on sale? I will admit to having it at home and paying the monthly $16 to keep it because I cannot and will not give it up but also because I cannot and will not pay $1000 for a dress. Everything about this dress is fabulous. It has my trifecta of not being a material which will fade, having pockets and being machine washable. It does not wrinkle. It is effortless and yet makes a total statement. Every time I wear it I get endless compliments. I have worn it to work, on dates, for parties and to go out to brunch. It is simply amazing.

I wish this had worked.
I so so wanted this dress to work. It is so fun and it has pockets! But alas- my wide ribcage combined with a key lack of cleavage made it too big on top and too tight in the middle. Also - the fabric is not so expensive or fancy- but it is very comfortable. And photographs beautifully.

Gorgeous but not for me!
This dress is beautifully made and all the reviews are correct- it is very forgiving on the chubbier middle. It failed on me because I am not at curvy on top as I am in the hips so it just looked a little blah. But on the right body type this would be a showstopper.

I wear anything from a 8-12 in MMLF. I am a MMFL shopper and proud MMLF owner. This dress does not do them credit. First off, it was so tight in the tummy that I felt bad about myself. Second, the flare of the dress just seems awkward when paired with the very conservative neckline. Third, it looked and felt cheap, which is not what I know about most MMLF clothes. Sending back unworn, never to rent again.

Odd fit but endless compliments.
This did not fit me perfectly. Under a blazer I was able to hide the weird fit (I sized up to account for my tummy and larger rib cage but that made it too big in the chest and shoulders) and it was a respectable enough outfit for the office. Regardless, I got about 1000 compliments. So go you, Derek Lam. If this were to be your correct fit you should consider buying it. It is SO COMFORTABLE. And the hemline is super fun. And the pattern works for the office or drinks or wherever your fancy takes you.

Princess-esque!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this skirt. Yes it is very long (I tripped walking up the stairs to the train) so there is initial user error to contend with. Yes there is a lot of fabric (does catch under your chair at the office). But the way it sways when you walk...the DRAMA of it. And it is airy and comfortable without being dowdy and the fabric seems to hold up to the trips and rolls with ease. Trying to figure out a way to keep it... even 60 percent off it is a little indulgent of a purchase.

I wore this several times, with jeans and leggings, and always felt comfortable yet fashionable due to that back cutout. It is not too heavy so you can wear it with a tank underneath and be comfortable.

FABULOUS
Despite the extremely questionable hefty price tag (proving yet again I know nothing about retail) this skirt is great. SUPER flattering. SUPER comfortable. You could sleep in it and would wake up unwrinkled and ready to roll. I would say it runs small because the extra large fit me perfectly and I am not an extra large in anything. I would have bought it in a second had it not been for the fact that at discount it is still over $300. Which is ridiculous. It is, after all, just a simple skirt.

Beautiful but flawed.
BEWARE THE BUTTONS. The reviews are 100 percent right. The buttons on this top come undone constantly, like even just walking from my desk to the copier. The top is a beautiful color, flattering, comfortable and elegant but too much of a hassle to wear.

Rented this for a West Coast trip which included vacation, work and being a parent. This bag DELIVERED. It fits a laptop, has a handle drop that can sit on your shoulder in a pinch, is elegant enough for dinner out yet not so fancy that baby wipes and snacks feel strange when being carried about. I need another bag like I need a hole in my head- particularly one with a $500+ price tag- but this bag is a clear win. Loved it.

I rented this for the holidays on the West Coast to wear at night. But it is more like a sweater coat than a jacket- unstructured and casual. So a bit too sloppy to wear with a nice dress out but prefect for jeans and sushi.

Fun print, strange cut.
These pants are comfortable and have a very elegant drape. Good, heavy fabric without being overly hot and unbreathable (wore them for hosting Thanksgiving and was fine running around all day and cooking). However, the waist is cut so high- on me I had them halfway up my ribcage. I hid it under a drapey top but I could never buy these for that reason. Which is a shame because the bottom print is SO FUN.

Great statement blazer.
This was a fun rental. The blazer is a heavy fabric and very well made. Held up for all day wear at the office and then out for drinks. Would never pay the price tag- either retail or the RTR version but I would rent again.

This dress is great. The angled hem is awesome. And super elegant. And if I were 10lbs skinnier it would have looked amazing on me. In truth it did not look bad, it just did not look great and I had other stuff going back to RTR so it went back unworn.

I like this blazer. Not love it like, it but like it like it. I got compliments on the color and the fit- though I am normally an 8 or a 10 for blazers so this one runs small. I would have kept it to wear several more times but I had an unlimited bag to send back and I was not so over the moon about it that I wanted it holding up my valuable rental spot real estate.

So it is almost winter in NYC and I still have not given up this dress. I rented it for vacation in SoCal this summer and wore it to rave reviews. I should just buy it but it is a tad on the expensive side. All that said, it warrants the price. It is VERY well made, lots of fabric but not bulky. And the colors pop. And it meets mt my personal barometer of a wonderful garment- it is machine washable. <sigh> I really should just buy it...

These were much cuter than I expected and -always a nice surprise with pants- seem to run a little large on me. I will note that my pair was extremely worn with some holes starting around the pocket lines, but nothing visible to detract from wearing several times. They are a more casual fabric but I did not find it unprofessional for the office with heels and a blouse. Happy days. Would rent again.

Tent-like but comfy in NYC summer!
The reviews are correct. The dress is massive. That said, I was not horrifically offended by the largess because the drape and style limit how wide the volume makes you look. Gone wrong, you would be Violet from the original Willy Wonka, but happily not the case here. Also, happily, it is super lightweight and not prone to wrinkles which are two musts for a summer commute to the office in NYC. Would size down and rent again. *Must note - my dress was a little over-worn and the buttons showed significant wear. Not so bad I felt I could not wear it to work but definitely there.**

I flux between a 10 and a 12 in fitted dresses and I first rented the 12 because I assumed this cut dress would accentuate my wobbly bits and I wanted a more elegant drape. Wrong. The 12 was actually too big because this dress holds EVERYTHING in place without Spanx. And the print is a bit of an optical illusion. Think of it as modern office camouflage.

This dress could have been a total disaster because of how it is designed- the elasticized waist is a risk point for my high-waisted self. But, surprisingly. it fit okay enough for me to want to bring on a family vacation to the Berkshires. Except I didn't end up wearing it. I did not know what to expect with this dress, often things that have a defined waist make me look pouchy... but this dress has an elegant silhouette and makes me feel so streamlined. Taller possibly? Anyhow, it is really fab. Super lightweight for this overheated summer without being too flimsy for an urban environment or too beachy for the office. Will be keeping for a biscuit.

This dress would be an A++ if it had pockets. But I loved it. Definitely true to size so I ordered up so the waist would not be too tight, which meant the top part was a little to big. I modified with a jardigan so the ill-fit was not too obvious and wore to work. The fabric is light, breezy, elegant and does not wrinkle too badly despite a long commute and a full day at the office. Would rent again- even with the off fit.
