Feeling sexy is a virtual guarantee in a Herve. I tried on a couple at the salon so I ordered this as a last second possible backup for a wedding when my original order was damaged beyond repair. I was concerned that it would be *too* sexy and not quite formal enough for the wedding but RTR customer service is AMAZING so I got it as a backup because I knew I'd look good and could dress it up with my strappy gold Manolos and a jeweled necklace if necessary. I ended up making a more formal dress work so I sadly did not get to wear it. The color is definitely a peachy pink. Herves suck you in but if you are feeling bloated or having a not-quite-so-thin day (as I was of course that day) you may not feel quite as comfortable. I tried it on again the morning I returned it when I was feeling back to normal and felt amazing. This only got 4 stars from me because of the sleeves - they felt a bit tight on my arms. Not my favorite Herve, but still a fabulous dress.

This was sent as a last second backup dress when my original order was damaged by a previous renter. I actually did not choose this as a backup because I felt the material would swallow up my petite body but the backup order was already processing so this came anyway. The print is absolutely stunning and the dress itself flows beautifully, but yes it looked like a tent on me without any manipulation. The 0 was also a bit large; I couldn't tell if this was because it had been stretched out from wear or if it was just large, but not impossible. Many renters have belted this and unless you are a model or have a statuesque build or pregnant I would say that it's almost necessary to make it work. But the front is shorter so that is actually user-friendly for short girls, so I said 'how else could I make this work'…. I ended up pulling the material back and pinning it so the front was a bit more form fitted like a column dress and the back flowed like a cape with a train (see pictures). It actually worked pretty beautifully and what was originally the automatic no ended up being option #2. I'd actually consider ordering this again.

This was sent as a last second backup for my replacement dress when my original order was damaged beyond repair. The lace is gorgeous. The color is a slate blue (a little bluer than the model picture) but for some reason photographs much brighter in many lights. This is evident from some of the previous reviewer's pictures. It is not that bright in person, but still a very pretty slate blue. I am short and it hit my knees so looked perhaps a bit matronly. I am typically a true 0 but I was a bit bloated that day so even the 2 was super snug. It puckered a bit around my thighs (my 'trouble' area) but even felt tight in my torso which is usually not a problem area for me. Also the lining peeked out at the bottom. Needless to say I did not end up wearing this, but I really felt it was a beautiful dress. Size up and get a backup of 2 sizes up!

This was sent as a backup for a replacement dress when my original order was damaged beyond repair. I had a bit of a 'worst-case' came true situation but RTR most definitely has amazing customer service. The colors and print are not my typical style but I had tried on other Matthew Williamson dresses at the salon so they sent this as a backup and everyone who saw it was in agreement that this is a gorgeous dress. Beautiful material. The fit I'd say is pretty much true to size (they sent me a size 6, I am a true 0 in US sizes) but definitely more on the snug side- there are built in cups (kinda weird but workable for a smaller chest) but there was NO way I was fitting my strapless underneath. Once it was on though I felt very comfortable. I could easily have worn this all night and felt both comfortable and glamorous. It would have been a great choice but I opted for the replacement dress in the end.

This was NOT the dress I originally ordered for my friend's end- of- June cocktail attire wedding; it was sent as a replacement when my original order (the Nha Khanh Hydrangea Dream Maxi) was damaged beyond repair by the previous renter. A stylist sent me this last minute without consultation and I was away the day it arrived so I was freaking out a bit when I could only assess it online. At barely 5'2'' I was nervous about the length, I did not like the loose flap on top and did not feel it would flatter me. I had requested backups and when I was finally able to try it on I was glad I did. The fabric and pattern are gorgeous but I was spot on with my concerns. The dress was long even with 5 inch heels - the lining oddly stuck out beyond the overlay and the fluttery bit on top really did not work for me. I fashion taped the lining hem up about 4-5 in (the lining is fortunately easy to hide). I also wrapped the fluttery top layer around so it was tight to my rib cage and it looked SO much better. So I kept it as a viable option - but 30 minutes before the bus was to leave the hotel I still was not sure what I was going to wear. As soon as I tried this on my friend said YES. So I wrapped the front fluttery layer back and the back layer around to the front and fashion taped them. In my picture you can see that the top is more fitted than the other renters, because I taped it. With a little doing, this dress turned out to be a fabulous choice - I received many compliments (from the bride as well), the actual fit was comfortable, and the other nice thing is I could get away with wedges rather than stilettos since it was so long you couldn't see my shoes - I wasn't sinking in to the grass during cocktail hour like the others! With my 5 inch platforms the top layer just barely grazed the ground. TAKEAWAY - this is a gorgeous dress but if you are short and petite you may require fashion tape for it to look fabulous. Also - RTR has AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I ordered this for my friend's bachelorette weekend in Austin, TX. This was my first rental, so I wanted to go with something 'safe' - I figured fit-wise I couldn't go wrong with a stretchy knit dress and I was right! I am a true size 0 and the XS was perfect. Yes it is snug and requires a little pulling to get on, but once it's on you're good to go for the whole night; sexy without any fuss. It stay put while I was dancing and it sucks you in so I really felt amazing. The blue is gorgeous and the pattern is interesting - I got a lot of compliments! I paired it with simple gold jewelry (I ordered the Alexis Bittar seeing double earrings to go with the angular pattern). Sorry, no great pics without the glow necklace :)

This necklace is gorgeous in person. I ordered it just for fun and didn't end up with a solid picture but the photos don't do it justice, and at this price it's totally worth ordering for making a simple dress or outfit stand out. I only gave 4 stars because the chain was a bit tarnished/discolored when I received it, but once it was on it really was not noticeable.

I ordered these to wear with the RVN puzzle solver dress just for a fun night out at my friend's bachelorette weekend in Austin, TX. I have tiny ear lobes so I can't wear heavy earrings but these were fine for the whole night, and even though they are on the larger side they didn't bother me at all when I was dancing because they are relatively lightweight. Unfortunately I didn't get any great pictures without the silly glow necklace - but I think you get the idea! I thought the simple angular style worked great with the dress; I'd order again!
