I wore this for my work holiday party (cocktail attire). The 4 fit great for my body -- the 6 felt huge on top. I'm usually a 2-4 so I'd say this fits very true to size. There are a few standout characteristics of this dress: 1) There's a thin stretchy strap underneath the shoulder satin to help keep the dress up. 2) The shoulder stays on perfectly if the dress fits you. No fidgeting! 3) The lining within the dress is fitted and nicely holds everything in place. 4) The color is absolutely stunning. 5) No bra necessary!!! This is one of those dresses where people will ask you where you bought it and you'll nearly cry when you have to tell them it isn't really yours. REALLY did not want to return it! I'm only sorry I didn't get a chance to snap a pic.

This dress is INCREDIBLE. I was heartbroken to not wear it, but ladies, please believe all the reviews about the zipper. It's horrendous and the fact that it's on the side does you no favors. I always wear a 4 or sometimes a 2 but I wish I'd ordered the 6 for this if only for the zipper issues. To be honest the 4 fit once zipped but it was risky. Other than that, this dress is great for showing off strong shoulders and a little back! Awesome for an athletic build.

This is fitted but not so fitted that you feel uncomfortable. I didn't need to wear a bra and felt like the lining held the dress to a good shape with my body. It's simple but the neckline is catching and I got a lot of compliments! Fits true to size and works well for someone short and athletic.

His is sexy but not over the top and you won't need to wear a bra. Works well for someone short (hits right on or below knee) but I wouldn't recommend for someone with a small bust and larger waist as the bodice might be too big. This fit me perfectly and I was comfortable all night, though it's worth noting that the ribbon in the center does not stretch!

This dress was well made and very comfortable! I didn't bother trying on the 4 as the 2 fit just fine. However, the reason I didn't end up wearing it is because the dropped waist looked a little *too* dropped on my 5'1" frame. It was definitely not sitting anywhere near the waist but more towards the tops of my thighs. I don't think I have an overly long torso so I hope this information is helpful for the short ladies! If I was taller I imagine I would have worn this no problem!

It definitely runs small, so I'm glad I ordered the 4 in a backup. Even that was pretty tight and I imagine a 6 wouldn't have been terrible. The dress is very form-fitting but also is a little thicker so it holds things in nicely. It's like spanx, but a dress. It helps to have a bust to get the most of the plunging neckline, although I think if my chest was any bigger it probably wouldn't fit. I did not wear a bra with it (not sure I could have if I wanted to), and didn't need any petals or anything.
