As other reviewers have mentioned, there is some weirdness going on at the waist of this dress, with bunched-up fabric. I loved the unique top part of the dress, although it didn't stand up exactly the way that I think it was intended to.

One of my favorite LBDs. The slit up the side and the heavy, shiny fabric make it special. The cut and fit are super comfortable. The top half of the dress was a bit bigger than a perfect fit but from the waist down it was perfect.

I love this dress, although it was WAY too long and I'm quite surprised I never tripped over it and fell at any point. Even with four-inch heels I had to hold it up most of the night. I wonder now if I got the long by mistake, because it was really, really long. However, also beautiful and elegant, and I felt wonderful wearing it.

I love, love, love this dress. Totally gorgeous, also very comfortable and easy to wear although it weighs a ton. The regular length was perfect on me (I'm 5'4" and wore four-inch heels). Love the color, loved the fit (thank goodness for the size 6 though, as there is no way that the 4 would have fit as I expected, so I do think it runs a little small). This is one of those dresses that I now wish that I owned, because I would definitely wear it again!

I liked this dress very much. I didn't love it, and this is one that I was glad I rented and don't own, because I probably wouldn't wear it again. The color is beautiful, it is perfect for my pear shape, and it is unusual enough that in a gala of more than 500 people no one had on a similar dress. Like many of the reviewers, I got a lot of compliments on the dress. The neckline felt a little fussy for my taste, but I knew that when I ordered it. The fabric is rather thin, and the pleats didn't lay quite right. These are relatively minor quibbles about what was a lovely dress.

I made the mistake of ordering this dress even though only a 4 was available. It would not zip all the way up, and I had to send it back unworn. Fortunately, RTR was able to get me a dress in time for my event, although was nerve-wracking to have to very quickly order another dress to get here in time. I was also frustrated that RTR did not call me back or respond to my emails until halfway through the day. I did like this dress enough that I have ordered the 6, along with another dress that they are sending for free since this one didn't fit. Nice touch RTR.

I was very glad that I got the back-up size 6, because the 4 would not zip up. I think it's a combination of Zac Posen dresses running slightly small AND too many veggie burgers. In any event, I loved the dress and got tons of compliments on it. It was tight, but in a good way because I wasn't constantly tugging it like I have had to with some other strapless dresses. The fabric is very thick and it's more burgundy than the red it looks like in the picture. It did arrive very wrinkled and with one of the turned-down edges at the top turned up, so I had to take it to my cleaners to press which was an errand I would have preferred not to have to add to my list. Other than that--loved.

I was a little nervous as there was only a 4 available, but since most of the reviews said it ran large I went ahead and rented without the backup size. The dress actually was a bit big, and while a 2 might have worked a 6 would have definitely been much too large. I love the dress--it was a perfect length, love the fabric, cut, everything about it. If I had seen this dress in a store I would have bought it in a minute.
