The 4 and 6 fit very similarly; I ended up going with the 6 since it had a bit more room in the hips. The 6’s straps were also a bit longer. No bra needed. I used some tape and pins to close up the front since you could very easily be very exposed! I would highly recommend tape and pins. Also note that both sides have fairly high slits; if you want to wear any kind of shapewear, it likely won’t work between the low back and the high slits. Despite all this, once it was on, I felt it was comfortable. I probably wouldn’t rent it again, but it was great for a summer wedding.

The 2 and the 4 felt nearly identical, other than the length. The 4 dragged the ground, and with the 2 I wore flat sandals. So, that doesn't make a lot of sense, but there ya go. Easy to wear a strapless bra, though not strictly necessary. Size to your hips/butt because that is the most snug fit. Fabric is pretty thick and flattering, great color in a sea of black dresses.

This dress was perfect for a late fall black tie optional wedding. Lots of compliments. I am 5'6" and wore 3" heels and that was about perfect- I probably could have gone slightly shorter. Obviously pockets were great. I did feel like it was slightly uncomfortable in the ribs, but the adjustable straps go a long way towards helping the fit. Overall, great dress but I probably wouldn't rent it again or buy it. It just wasn't as flattering as I thought it was going to be, I guess!

I would say this dress runs small. I'm about a 32C and it was extremely tight in the bust. Also, be aware that it may be difficult to find a bra that doesn't show. Because of the way the sides are cut under the arms, a lot of bras show. It's kind of weird. But it's a thick dress, drapes nicely. It was a little too thick for an outdoor July wedding actually, so be aware of that also. But it's a pretty, classy dress!

The color is great- very teal, not all that blue. There isn't much of a fit difference between the 2 and 4- I wore the 2 because the 4 just seemed to hang weird because there was too much fabric in some places. It stays up, no worrying about exposing your top half! But I just didn't find the fit super flattering. It didn't really create curves- I think it requires you having curves for the dress to be most flattering. I'm not sure. I just didn't love the fit of it and wouldn't rent it again.

I found this to fit true to size. I am a 34c and found that the 6 didn't give me much support, and while the 4 was a bit tighter in the rib cage, it was a much more flattering fit. The zipper can be difficult to get up, because the lace is a very heavy fabric. Overall, while I liked this dress (aforementioned pockets, hooray) I just wasn't wowed by it. I would suggest getting one of those adhesive bra things that can both pull your boobs up and over. However, because of the cut of the dress, it can be very tricky to prevent the silicone of the bra from showing. Overall, necessary I think, because the dress tends to kind of flatten your boobs and provides absolutely zero lift or support. So yeah, the lace is thick and you aren't going to have your nips showing, but you may have pancake boobs. Still 4/5 stars though! (Also, I'm 5'6" and I found it to be a kinda awkward length- a lot of shoes didn't look right with it.)

I loved this dress and it was perfecf for a black and white gala. That being said, the fit is really weird. I am a little over 5'5" and I could have easily worn it without heels. The front is also EXTREMELY short- like you need to be careful going up stairs or sitting down. I also couldn't lift my arms higher than my shoulders, and I definitely don't have super muscular shoulders or anything. So if you are bigger in the shoulders or arms, good luck with this one, same for if you have really long legs. But the flip side of this is that for me, the bust area was loose. I'm a 34C and wore an adhesive silicone "cleavage enhancer" from Target to fill out the top. Again, absolutely adored the dress and it stood out, tons and tons of compliments and I felt amazing, but there are definitely fit issues to be aware of.

I have rented so many dresses from RTR and this is truly my favorite. I wore it to a black tie gala and got so many compliments. In a sea of black, this dress stood out- but in a good way! This ran way smaller than I expected. I'm a 34C, and I barely fit into the medium-- it was tight in the ribs. I was able to adjust the straps and it was totally fine and comfortable, but I do wonder what the large would have felt like. Others are correct that it does come up high in the front. I used a square of fashion tape to secure one of the layers over so it didn't look too short. It is a gorgeous dress though and was great for a summer night garden wedding! FYI that the background is more of a greige than a tan or anything. I wore rose gold sandals and that worked well- I was originally going to do gold but it didn't look great.

A lot of people say this dress runs big, but I didn't find that to be the case. I am 5'6", a C cup, size 27-28ish in jeans and I could have been comfortable in the small or x-small.
