To start, let's clarify that I am 5'9" and 34G Bust. I loved the dress but the plunging neckline was something I didn't anticipate and I'm not used to flaunting may assets. But the dress offered natural lift that really enhanced everything, if you know what I'm saying. And bonus, I was still able to wear my normal bra. I went for the Long based on reviews, but I will say careful because it can be a tripping hazard. The gown hit the floor perfectly, but my heel caught on the back/bottom twice, which taught me to lift the side when I walked just to be careful

Rented this for a holiday party and charity ball. It's definitely an attention grabber! Notes: * Length is VERY short, I wore opaque black tights to counteract but was very conscious of lifting my hands in the air - also this is likely not an issue if I we of average height * The shimmer is lovely, and great for dim lighting. But if you turn the lights on Kapoweee be prepared to grab some attention. * Note that the fabric is black sequins painted gold, which I thought was very interesting but not conveyed well int he photos * NOT elastic and form fitting like the badgley mischka dresses, this is definitely more of a sheath

I rented this dress for a company holiday party and am over the moon! The color was stunning, a beautiful rich green. I was worried about the support situation being that many shared that they wore this without a bra. But just as previously reviewed the support system built into the dress held up beautifully. Reminds me a bit of the bodice of my wedding gown., The lace overlay offers a nice disguise as well. Perfect form fit in the wait and below - although I have very narrow hips and no butt.

Love this little number! Since the dresses I rented were black this popped up as a suggestion. Kudos to the RTR design team for recommending. Not only was it spacious (fit my phone, makeup, camera and had room to spare) but the shape was easy to carry around. Also came with a chain in case I wanted to slip it over as a side body bag.

Pro: gold shimmer, comfortable fabric, great neckline plunge for cleavage, sleeves Con: fabric felt a bit old fashioned, and holy cow this dress was short So I preface that I am 5'9' and expected this dress to be a bit on the short side but not quite to this level. If you pout this on any of my friends who are 5'2" I'm sure the length would be great. Put on some tights and ended up making it work. Thought about adding a belt but it just didn't look quite right. Also color was great for winter events, but the fabric did remind me a bit of my grandmothers lace. Could just be a personal inference but that definitely clouded my perspective. Used it for a 2nd night holiday party and was grateful for the comfortable fabric because I was still hurting from the festivities the night before

Wore these with a sequin cocktail dress, that with pearls or diamond studs could have been classic. Wanting to update the look and give it a modern feel, I rented these and they were perfect. Loved that they were 3D on both sides so that if they twisted or turned you still saw the depth of the piece. For only $8 what a steal! Love that RTR makes little recommendations to pair with dresses, absolutely a home run on these and I was sad to send them back.

So initially thought to rent the lighter colored dress of the same design but it was not available. Might have been kismet because this dress was DAZZLING! Just what I needed for our annual December Charity Ball when nothing in my closet seemed to work. I usually wear an 8 and after reading the reviews I felt safe with the (M) but wanted to order a backup just in case. Ordered the small, which actually was a more snug fit but the length was just a bit too short. Thinking it would be ideal for someone who is less than my 5'9". There is a lot of give in both dresses and as other RTRers have mentioned, the lining prevents from tearing opaque tights. The sequin texture disguises anything going on underneath... including my spanx. Ultimately wore the Medium and had a FABULOUS night. Grateful hat I ordered a dress with sleeves because it was definitely 20 degrees out that night!

Background: Selected this gown for a black tie wedding in NYC and I knew this would be a high brow event. Rather than pack up a long gown and then have to deal with steaming it (and giving up the packing room), this was the perfect solution. Fit: I ordered the dress in 6L and 8L because I am 5'9" and planned to wear 3 inch heels. I usually wear an 8 waist, and the dress design was perfect to accommodate my 34DD bust. Ended up going with the 8L because the waist... But agree that you should error to the small side, the 6L was only a little too snug. The length hit the floor and did not leave any room to show shoes. Wow: Upon arrival I received compliments alllll night long! One woman even commented that with my updo and gown I reminded her of Betty Draper (swoon!). Definitely old word glamour. Other: I ordered the necklace suggested but felt that it was too much icing on the already fabulous cake. I recommend hair up with chandelier earrings, just enough class.
