Elegant for standing
Ok, I love this dress for standing-only occasions. The cups don’t have any actual support, so your boobs are going to move around, especially going from sitting to standing a bunch of times. The design of the cups is a balconette, meaning just your nipples are covered. It’s kind of a lot. But, the dress really is beautiful, nice material, elegant, and a head turner.

This dress got so many compliments! It’s great for showing off curves while still being somewhat modest. The back has a lot of draping, which might be weird to some, but I thought was really flattering.

The fabric is what makes this dress so awesome. It’s soft and lightweight, but still structured enough for a work event. Really flattering and would look great on a wide variety of body types.

This dress is like one of Blanche Devereaux’s nightgowns. Silky, seductive, but simple. I would wear this every single day. Obviously, it is low-cut and high-cut, plan accordingly.

Don’t wear this to a wedding where there is a bride because you will upstage her. I wore it to a gay wedding in Mexico and it was absolute perfection. I have never felt more glamorous or received so many compliments on any outfit ever. Now for the details on making it work. Obviously the dress is VERY low cut. I bought special shapewear to accommodate the low cut front and almost backlessness. Investing in the shapewear was critical for breast support/feeling comfortable and would recommend the same to anyone who “needs” a bra. I also used a safety pin to create some additional front coverage. My tip for that is to only thread the safety pin through the lining only, so that the chiffon covers the pin completely. Also, the dress is long. I’m 5’7” and wore no shoes, I had no problem walking and dancing but did have to hold it up for stairs.

Wonderfully versatile
This was one of my all time favorite rentals! I have no photos because I didn’t want evidence of how many times I was an outfit repeater in the span of 2-3 weeks. One night I wore it out with leather shorts and thigh high boots. Another with black jeans and heels. And on video calls for work. The cut is intentionally big, so size down if that’s not your thing. It feels like rich lady pajamas.

Ridiculous in the best way
I rented this solely for a Halloween costume (shout out to my Scream Queens fans). But I’m now fully on the colorful, faux fur train for everyday wear too. So fun and soft and warm. It is delightfully tacky and a head turner.

Oh, she’s cute
I’m probably going to rent this again with the matching pants for a fun professional event. It’s cute in photos, but is stunning in person. The pink contrast and other small details more noticeable. However, it is less structured and longer than is typical of blazers, fits more like an oversized cardigan. It was also more lightweight than I was expecting, the lining is mostly there just as a thin barrier to keep your skin from being scratched up. This is one of those pieces that RTR is great for - retail price is waaayyy too high to justify buying something you will only get one or two wears out of.

Too big and too small, Had to get creative with styling
So, I knew this type of top was a gamble. I sized up from what was recommended because extra fabric seemed like a good idea. But the band was way too big, but the cups were small. I ended up wearing a minimizing strapless bra to not overflow out of the cups, plus I used a binder clip and safety pin in the back at the base of the top to tighten the band. I wouldn’t have been able to wear this set on it’s own because of the makeshift “alterations” required to both the top and shorts. But with the jacket overtop, no one could tell that I was clipped in / styled like a mannequin. One friend described it as “this is what it could look like, but not straight out of the box”. If you aren’t willing to make such efforts, I don’t recommend this set.

Worth the effort?
Boxier and longer than anticipated. Ended up rolling the waistband four times and putting an elastic belt overtop to keep them in place. But it might have been worth it for the overall look? I felt cute / on theme, but also like that could have been achieved with a completely different outfit that didn’t require “alterations”

Uncomplicated, versatile, easy chic
Wore this out to dinner (pizza) followed by a sit down comedy show. I was comfy the whole time, no special undergarments required. It’s a bold pattern, but the colors are dark enough that it can easily be styled for day or night. Only other feedback is the seam of the mesh is in front, it is designed to curve over your boob, then go straight down. This is not intuitive, but looks good once you figure out the curvature.

I did not. Everyone else is correct. To make this work as a “dress”, you have to pull a Meredith from The Office. Whoever made the pattern for this not a shirt, not yet a dress has no idea how womxn bodies are shaped IRL.

Not everything is for everyone
And that’s ok! This is a lewk you have to commit to. Not everyone is going to “get” it. But if funky, sexy, outlandish is your thing, rent this. I wore it on a date-date and a friend-date. Felt fancy AF both times. Opted for hair up to really let the dress shine.

Versatile, lightweight, easy style
These were exactly what I, a mildly hungover lady, wanted to wear walking around NYC in late spring. I looked cute but I was wearing pajamas. The fabric was breathable, helping with those next-day sweats. The waistband is elastic, but the cut of the thigh is narrow and there isn’t any stretch. Stylewise, they transitioned nicely to a rooftop bar later in the early evening.

Sassy and classy
This romper is gorgeous. Runs slightly large in the top, but nothing to worry about. I wore this to a nice restaurant and then to a dive bar and felt comfortable in both settings. The pockets are a little weirdly placed (like right on the crotch) so don't plan to use them. Otherwise, this is perfect.

Great summer dress
