Fine line between frumpy or fancy
I struggled to work this fit in a manner that didn't make me look like I was being stuffed into the backseat of a minivan to sit through a garishly awkward Thanksgiving dinner with relatives I haven't spoken to in years. The key is in the tuck, I think, which they hint at with the seams on the sides. The length of the sleeves and the single stripe can lend it an edgy, careless look that either suggests you're artlessly cute and put together or you got dressed in the dark. I like where I ended up with but there were a lot of unfortunate casualties to get here.

Pajama Work Day
I love that it felt as if I was sashaying down the runway that is my hallway from the office to the bedroom like RuPaul's Pajama Drag Race, but the palazzo effect was ruined by my staggering lack of height. The camel toe was too real to contemplate even attempting to leave the house in it, let alone sit through an uncomfortable zoom debating how to professionally tell my boss 'that sounds like a you problem'. It wasn't high-waisted enough to look couture, so in the end it really did just look like pajama pants.

Wanted to love it
But I just don't think I'm cool enough for this dress. Maybe if I was a spunky lead-singer of an alternative house band with a voice like Amy Winehouse and a collection of space boots and a streak of red in my hair I could have pulled this off better. You either own this dress with the aplomb of a rebellious teenage spirit or you look foppish and unreliable.

Cute but rather forgettable
Fit: Very flowy, didn't realize how awkward the length was until I tried it on. Not long enough to be, well, long, but not short enough to be considered a mini dress. The length felt rather "I've been working at this DMV in a senior management position for 30 years" Logistics: You toss it on and walk out the door, so that's nice. Material was on the thinner side but not see through. Garment Overview: While I had no complaints, I also couldn't really find any excitement in it. It did not 'spark joy'. As it is I'm still in quiet awe as I try to consider why anyone would buy this at full price.

Fit: A little on the larger side I'd say but not in a bad way. It's very cozy. Logistics: Suuuuper flattering. Love the softness. A little heavy but it is a winter jacket after all! Pockets are so deep you could lose your cat in there. You can definitely layer a sweater or two and not feel like the hulk bursting at the seams. Garment Overview: I would buy it if it was just a little more on sale. As it is I really contemplated it!

Really interesting dress but I don't think I pulled it off
Fit: I reeeallly wanted to like this dress. It's just such a fun shape and the patterns are stunning. It was a little too roomy in some places and a little too tight in others. I would have liked it to be a bit more fitted in the waist and bust but not the shoulder area. Logistics: Sturdy jacquard material, easy enough to get in and out of. No complaints here. Garment Overview: I got a ton of compliments on it, but idk wasn't in love myself. It's definitely a stunner in person. I think my biggest issue was finding a coordinating pair of shoes and what tf to do with my hair since you really need an updo to pull off the one shoulder look imo.

LOVE the style, needed a smaller size.
Fit: Super chich look but was way too big for me. I had to belt that thing REAL tight, and it was a bit too long even factoring in the high-waisted aspect. Logistics: Super heavy material, but the weighty-ness was rather nice. Would take up like 50% of a carryon suitcase. But would probably be worth it. Garment Overview: Love the billowy pants look, just needed it smaller. The pants themselves though were rockstars.

Perfect Weekend Showstopper, but weird logistical problems
Fit: Very roomy, which is great because it's not a particularly thick coat so layering is a must if you're going to use it as a winter jacket and not just a transitional piece. Logistics: The arms were... bizarre. I couldn't really lift my arms up without something in the seams tightening in a really alarming way. Which made no sense, because the fit was positively roomy otherwise. The little cuffs on the side were annoyingly tight too, and there was no way to loosen it. The reason this only gets a 4/5 though is because it's a duster more than a jacket, with NO BUTTONS. Garment Overview: It's SUCH a fabulous look I was in love. If it didn't have so many odd logistical issues I probably would have considered buying it. It really was a showstopper for a weekend getaway to NYC, and with a hat and gloves kept the chill away reasonably well. But the lack of buttons meant I had to walk around with my arms folded around myself otherwise the coat would billow out.

Fit: A little on the larger side I'd say. I'm usually a M on bottoms so I was surprised the XS fit as well as it did, but I'm also a 25" waist and it's pretty flowy. Logistics: Suuuuper flattering. Love the material. Didn't wrinkle all that much, definitely an easy piece to pack. Garment Overview: I would buy it if it was just a little more on sale. As it is I really contemplated it!

Slouchy relaxed fit
Fit: I went a size up because I wanted that loose relaxed vibe. A pretty warm sweater, I had no issues in snowy weather with a jacket thrown over this, Logistics: Heavy cable-knit. Pretty inconvenient for packing in a suitcase, but what can ya do. Garment Overview: It was fun for the weekend but I don't think it's something I'd rent again. Nothing in particular was wrong with it, I'm still giving it 5-stars because it was cute and exactly what it says on the tin so to speak, but it's not something I *need* to own. Just a perfect one and done RTR spot.

Stunning Vacation Jaw Dropper
Okay so the bust area has NO give, which worked okay since I'm like a 32 B so I'm not really turning heads in that department. The dress is a decently weighty cotton, not particularly airy but also not heavy. It's a monster to pack in a suitcase. But sooo worth it. It was a little too long on me so I had to either wear it with heels or hold it up so it didn't drag.

Fit: Structured fit at the top, loose and flowy skirt. It was much higher on me than the model at 5'3", but with the way I wore it the length worked out perfect. Would probably reconsider wearing it with most heels - maybe a low block would be okay, but otherwise it's vaguely scandalous. Logistics: Those ties are like catnip for my cats. Tying them over your shoulder is both annoying but very freeing, as you can set the fit to what you want. Also, POCKETS. Garment Overview: I adored this dress; I looked like that one ace trainer that only has a team of slowpokes. Definitely going in my 'all stars' album

Very Salsa Dancing ish
Fit: I woudl describe XSR on me as 'very fitted, but not tight enough to stop me from eating at a buffet.' It was a little long in the pants for 5'3". Pants are kinda balloon-ish in photos but very flowly and nice in person. Logistics: POCKETS. Lots of material, I'd rate it 5/10 for packing score. That being said it's a jumpsuit, which already is just a logistical nightmare in general. This one has a zip at the back if I recall correctly so it's not the worst of the lot Garment Overview: Would rent again, probably.

Fit: Both too big and too large. Tight on the arms for me, and wayyy too long. It hit at my knees 5'3" and I tried to wear it like the model but it was less 'out and about in the hamptons' and more 'I've been working at the DMV for 30+ years' Would have been better for a relaxed summer workday fit. Logistics: Those front buttons are not just for show. Frankly, I wish they were. The material is rather thick, with a texture like linen. Fit: True to size at the waist but for me at 5'3" waayyy too long. I'd need to hem it to wear it properly, and even with tall block heels it was trailing on the floor. And it wedges in a weird way so it's not like you can just pull it up more. Logistics: Re: Above. But at least it has pockets? Garment Overview: The print is so gorgeous and versatile. But I would recommend only for tall people haha

Fit: It's actually a very flattering fit, assuming you get one in the right size. Idk why tf RTR keeps recommending me XSR for Farm Rio when 9/10 that's untrue, especially for their fitted dresses like this one. Logistics: Linen-like material. Pretty sturdy, but unlikely to roast in it during hot summer days. Garment Overview: Something about it made me feel very Kourtney Kardashian, in a good way. It's an excellent dress for pear shapes.

Fit: Loose, can definitely wear layers beneath it. Weirdly long. Logistics: Pockets are A+ depth. it's a behemoth to pack though, took up most of my suitcase. Magnificent patterns
Fit: Loose and flowy, just how I like these kinds of dresses. Hits the legs at a weird length though, at least for me at 5'3" Logistics: It's a pretty easy slip over the head type dress. Thicker, heavy material that's not going to do much for you on a mountain but would be pretty heavy for the beach. Garment details: ahhh the print, the embroidery, the patterns... I could go on. It was lovely to wear and I received tons of compliments on it.

Great but a little tight on the arms
Fit: loose and flowy EXCEPT for at the arms. You can always just pop the buttons on the cuff but then it might look a bit stranger. My arms barely fit but it was a tight squeeze. I wouldn't consider them big but with garments with cuffed sleeves like this it's a known problem for me. Logistics: Thinner material, great for a suitcase, definitely needs a steamer afterwards though its the sort of fabric that wrinkles easily. My cats went nuts over the strings at the chest, whoops. Garment details: WOW this dress is stunning in person but can def give off too much little house on the prairie vibes depending on what you're wearing it to. I had it in my 'peru' favorites folder here which really checked out.

I could've tried harder with this one
Fit: Went for the M after reading reviews. It was certainly roomy and comfortable this way, but probably took away from the fit. You can totally pull off the model's outfit and I could see it very easily but I never went that extra with this tbh. But it's totally possible to dress it up. Logistics: I would call it a medium-heavy sweater. It packed pretty well for the weekend and wasn't too bulky but still can keep you warm. I will say though getting it on a hangar was brutal - I kept stabbing the metal hook through the knit and having a panic attack over making a hole (I did not make a hole, fortunately). Garment Details: Loved the longer sleeves, you can roll them up if they bother you. I also like the elbow pad things?? Whatever they are the color blocking was nice

Fit: Like other reviews said it ends at a weird length and is fairly boxy. I liked the longer sleeves though. Logistics: The turtle neck is legit which can be good or bad. It's a very heavy garment and doesn't pack well but that's also not surprising. The strings on it are... just weird honestly. In person they still look like a design choice and not like your sweater is unraveling off, but also just like a weird design choice. I can imagine them getting tangled fairly easily too Garment: I really love the print, great for a ski trip weekend. It's very heavy so it'll keep you warm but again it hits at a weird length so I was cold around my stomach but sweltering at the neck

Homerun of a Jacket
Fit: Perfect! Works fine with most sweaters beneath and still feels roomy and loose around the shoulders. Logistics: Pockets are massive which is a huge bonus. It's actually fairly compact for how warm it is so great for travel too. Garment: idk how to describe it but here's how the tsa dude did when I went through security: 'if it's got a lining no matter how thin it's a winter jacket and you need to take it off'. It's definitely a transitional fall jacket - needs a scarf gloves and sweater beneath for real winter weather *SECOND TIME'S THE CHARM. I rented it again and loved it so much I just outright bought it.

Stunning, but odd fit
Fit: I'm solidly between 2 and 4 in Marchesa depending on the type of dress. This one was rather loose at the top and the middle but very fitted around the hips - my measurements are something around 26in waist and 36/37in hips so this happens pretty frequently with dresses like this. If you're also pear shaped I would try the 2. It'll be tight on the hips but less baggy at the top. Logistics: Has one zip and three buttons at the neck - definitely needs to go over the head, and the dress is sort of a two-part affair with the embroidery overlayed on a pink slip beneath that gets ruched up pretty easily. Garment: Excellent condition, very stunning in person. The embroidery and details are really nice.

Read a lot of iffy reviews about the fit but I had no issues with them. I can see how they could give someone cameltoe tho haha. I have big thighs and calves so I was impressed with how well they fit my legs, but I also have a small waist in comparison (24") so that might be why it fit so well on the top.

So versatile!
The skirt is really just fabulous. It's not an elastic waist though so the fit is very hit or miss. I was a size too big I think, so I had to use a paperclip to hold it in place on my waist. If I wanted it to sit low on my hips, it would have been fine.

It's soo close to being a piece I would be, but falls just a tad short. The photo doesn't really do it justice, it moves like water when it's on and the metallic sheen is subtle but a nice added touch. It was slightly large but nothing an empire waist/belt couldn't fix. I wore it with an obi and a mandarin-inspired Zimmermann top for my Lunar New Year week.

I actually really wanted to buy this dress but forced myself not to... but it was really that cute. Fit really well! I thought the sleeves would look weird on me but it didn't at all. Also, I really don't think the boots on the model do the dress justice; with the right shoes and accessories this is a perfect cocktail dress! Of course, you can also wear it more casually too.

Fabulous dress, fits really well. I like the stretch material around the waist a lot - I feel like they can be very hit or miss, but this one was fairly thick, about the width of a belt, so the cinch really looked put together and not frumpy.

It's a snug fit, especially on the upper arms, but it's also a bit stretchy so it doesn't feel too confining. Hard to tell from the model but the skirt is actually pleated, so it definitely has that school-chic vibe. The material is also quite thick, making it nice for winter despite the short sleeves.
