The straps are WAY too short and at 5’9” the hem was about an inch above the floor with no shoes on. I’m a 32C and while the bust fit completely fine (with room to spare) and the ribcage was comfortable, the straps forced the dress too high so it cut into my shoulders in an awkward way. I considered sizing up to the 6 but the bust/waist would have been way too big at that point. I tried both the 2 and the 4 and both would have worked if the straps weren’t made for a MUCH shorter person or the length was acceptable. That said the fabric is lovely and the color is fantastic!

I liked the fit of this top but the material is super disappointing. I can't imagine paying full price for it! It's very thin and feels like something you'd upholster your outdoor pillows with. Not a fan. The cut is nice and I can see it working for the office, but it's rather tunic-y -- long even on my 5'9 frame.

This dress feels SO good on. The fabric is heavy and the corset top it's soooo flattering! I didn't want to take it off! I wore it to my boyfriend's brother's wedding and it was perfect for Palm Beach in December. It definitely runs slightly small, I'd say, because I'm between a 4 and only occasionally a 6. This dress is fantastic!! I'd rented another dress that didn't work, so I went to the RTR store in NYC to find something last minute. I'd been eyeing this dress for ages and finally decided to rent it for a friend's early fall wedding last weekend. Based on the great reviews and seemingly universally flattering fit, I was so excited! Unfortunately the dress was not a hit for me. Is not flattering on a slim figure and was pretty blah. I am 5'9" and 125lbs with a 32D bust. The dress cuts high under the arms which was uncomfortable and the straps have a lot of fabric on them - they almost look padded, which is weird (my boyfriend commented on the odd appearance). In regards to some of the other reviews, I had no trouble with the zipper, but the dress didn't fit very tightly, which is probably why. Hopefully my next RTR experience will be a better one!

I took a chance on this dress and was wary due to the mixed reviews. Luckly it was absolutely fantastic! I think the other reviews are fairly accurate - The dress has no stretch and is very tight around the ribcage and is made for someone who has a respectively large bust. My measurements are 34/26/36 and while my chest fit into the dress, it was a secure fit. I was looking forward to the straps being long, as other reviewers mentioned, because I have a long torso. While the straps fit, I did not find them "long" persay, and they actually pulled down on my shoulders so that by the end of the night it was less than comfortable. All in all, I loved the dress! The low back and sides are a lovely touch and the fabric was decent. Oh and the pockets are adorable! I recieved plenty of complements and my boyfriend loved the dress as well. I'm very glad i took the chance on it!

I really loved this dress and it was perfect for my boyfriend's sister's wedding. It was absolutely a struggle to get into, especially because per the reviews, it sounded like a medium would be the better size. I usually wear a 2 or 4 in designer dresses. I did however, manage to get into the small, but had to sew in a hook clasp at the top to get it zipped by myself. Also, it kept unzipping even with the clasp (just an inch or two) all night, so thank goodness I put it in! The dress definitely stretched out as the night went on, so if you can get into a smaller size, I'd recommend it. I probably wouldn't rent again though because honestly the trouble wasn't worth the effort that I put into it.

The color shown in the photo on this dress is very accurate, which was nice. However, I usually wear a 2 and sometimes a 4 because of the bust, so reading the other reviews, I though the 2 would be the way to go. I really should have gone with the 0, and even then I'm not sure if it would have fit quite snuggly enough! The dress has a TON of stretch to it and because of the way the way the fabric folds, you need it to be quite fitted so it doesn't bunch awkwardly. I actually purchased the dress during a clearance event, so I'll be having it tailored. It truly is beautiful, so hopefully I can get it to be a good fit!

I was so excited about this dress, as it looked lovely online and in other individuals pictures. However, the dress runs extremely large and the lace was super stretched out. If you have a slim figure, I would definitely advise against this dress. Even the 0 was too big for me, but for example in Aidan Maddox dresses, I'm a 4. You really need to be a curvy girl to be able to fill this out because I'm 5'9, 125 lbs, 32C and i didnt come close. Other than the personal fit, the dress was gorgeous!

I'd previously rented this dress and did not wear it because it was in poor condition, but loved it so much that I decided to give it another try. This time the dress that i received was great and I was able to wear it. It fit like a typical lilly dress, which works well for me with measurements - 34/26/36. I rented the 2 and the 4 and ended up wearing the 4 due to the bust on the 2 being a bit too tight. The 2 was better in the waist, but I didn't like how it cut into the tops of my chest. It worked well for a summer wedding in Boston and the print and colors are gorgeous!

These earrings were absolutely perfect for a black tie awards event that I recently attended. They weren't too heavy and I received complements on them all night long. My dress was simple and black so the earrings were the "main event." I would absolutely recommend!

I rented this dress for an event this winter. The I ordered a size 2, but was worried because the backup size wasn't available. Fortunately the 2 was perfect and was the size that I thought that I would wear anyway. For reference, I am 5'9" and measure 32.5, 26, 35.5. The bodice was fitted, but I had no problem getting into it. I really liked that the arm holes weren't too small. I'm not sure if it's because I am tall and thin, but I generally have problems with arm holes being cut to high. The skirt on this dress is so much fun! The event that I went to involved dancing and luckily the lining on the dress is not as full as the actual skirt, so even when my boyfriend "spun" me, I wasn't exposed. The fabric is super soft and rich in color as well. I'd definitely recommend!

I rented this dress for an evening wedding. I absolutely loved the fabric - it was super soft, but sturdy. Unfortunately, I couldn't wear the dress because it was too big. I've found Nicole Miller's designs do tend to run large, but I thought an XS would work. I'm 5'9" and measure 32.5, 26, 35.5. I don't know if the dress I got was stretched out or if it was just that much too big to begin with, but regardless it was disappointing. Otherwise RTR is absolutely wonderful!
