Tons of compliments!
Loved the cut and neckline on this Millie dress! Wore it twice to work, and received tons of compliments! It does run a little small, so I might try an 8 if I rent again.

Another success!
This is another in a list of several Shoshanna pieces I've rented. I really like the cut and fit of most all of her designs. This one looked great in the picture, and in person. Material wrinkles a bit if you sit for long periods of time, but generally held it's shape. Good Fall/Spring piece.

Needs a belt
This dress was cute, but it definitely needs a belt. I added tights on a colder morning, and it wound up looking pretty smart, I think. Elastic waist and 3/4 sleeves ride up a bit, but it's not too annoying. Snap closure on chest was fine; no accidental exposures. Overall would rent again.

Great transition dress
I wore this for work, threw a sweater, and later a jacket over it because of it being sleeveless. But that worked, and it looked great. Easy transition from work to flying out to a short trip with my husband. He is not afraid to voice his opinions on my outfits, and thought this looked like "Sesame Street" (because of the colors) at first. When I wore it on the trip, he was complimentary, and thought it looked great! I may have been able to rent a small, it was a tad "roomy," but it is a knit, and they do stretch somewhat. This was not "stretched out" by any means though. I love the flare on the skirt, too!

Different and fun!
This dress is cut from a satin material that feels great, and holds up to packing really well. I took it with me on a trip to Las Vegas recently, and wore it to an upscale dinner. Perfect for that! Looks great on, too. Runs true to size, if not slightly large. 4R was still a tad big in the waist for me. But I'd rent this again.

Fun and flirty
This is a great dress, that fit perfectly. The pattern is fun and the skirt and cut flirty. Perfect for a trip to Las Vegas that I took with my husband. He was dubious when I first tried it on at home, but wound up really liking it a lot when I wore it on the trip. May keep this for now...next trip to another warm climate soon!

Weird hips & runs TINY
Def. size UP if you're going to rent this one. I had to switch to an 8 to even feel comfortable in this. It runs quite small in the chest, back and arms, but large in the hips. The design of the dress has it cut WIDE through the hips, but it has a fairly short skirt. It would be really cute, if it was not cut so weird. I wore it once, it was okay, did not take a photo. Sorry. Not my fav.

Sized down, still too big
No pic of this one, sorry. Just not really flattering. I had to size down from what I normally wear in RL, and it was still too big through the waste. Just kind of baggy in the middle, didn't have the more "hourglass" shape to it that would have looked better.

Perfect work dress
This is a perfect work dress, especially if your office is a little more formal. Loving the sheer darts along the neckline, but be aware, you'll have to slide those bra straps to the edge of your shoulders to keep them from being seen through the panels. Fit was good, still a little roomy in waist & hips for me though.

Love the polka dot accent!
Love the polka dot accent on the sleeves and ruffle high/low skirt on this dress. I'm wearing a medium, & there was still some extra room in the waist and hips. Maybe a small if I rent again. Fabric is nice, not too thin. Was a little self-conscious about plunging neckline, but it wasn't too low. Just a bit more than usual for me. Fun look though and comfortable/nice for work.

Love the ruffles!
This was an amazing dress. Love the bright orange and the ruffle/slit. Lots of compliments on this one. Crepe material was lined nicely and did not wrinkle. Overall, I LOVE Black Halo....so it's always a treat to wear these designs!

Another winner from TBL!
I wore a Ted Baker London red knit dress a few months ago and got tons of compliments. This one is cute, comfy and looks sharp for work. Paired with a pair of neutral heels and rose gold earrings. I usually worry about knit dresses being too sheer or stretched out. This one is great! Perfect shape. Definitely another winner from Ted Baker London!

Lots of love for the asymmetrical hemline!
This poor dress arrived in a shambles! Broken hangar, balled up in the garment bag. I steamed it out and it popped back together. Lots of love for the asymmetrical hemline. I love the "berry" color. A little shorter than what I usually wear, so I wore a little pair of bloomer shorts underneath. Watch for gaps and the snaps on the front! Cute and different. Nice material. Winner!

UPDATE: "Cheating" the size
UPDATE: I decided I could "cheat" the size on this a little and "take it in" with the best utility item ever, a safety pin! It worked well enough for me to finally wear this before I sent it back. I've worn another Nanette Lapore in the past from RTR, and it seems there's a lot of room in the waist and hips, but it can be snug up top. This is a really smart looking dress, and I loved the fabric, too. Good transition from Summer to Fall. Will re-rent in a smaller size and see how that goes.

More success with Shoshanna!
I've become a big fan of renting dresses for work by Shoshanna. I've had more success with the fit and style with her pieces. AND I also tend to get a lot of compliments when I wear one. This one was no different. I'm typically not a "sleeveless" person, but I decided to go for it anyway. This dress has a classic fit with a complimentary slit. Sleeveless wan't bad, even though I totally have a "farmer tan" from working in the yard. Anyway, it fit great, was comfortable and all her dresses are well made. I'd certainly rent this easy-going dress for work again. (Although maybe in a 4, this 6 was just a tad big on me due to recent weight loss.)

Outside the box choice gets thumbs up!
Typically when I make some kind of "outside the box" clothing choice, my husband is the first to give his honest opinion. That happened with this Draper James dress. His initial reaction, "I don't really like that dress." I wore it anyway, & it actually worked out great! Got home, & the opinion had changed, "That looked better on TV than I thought it would!" This clearly had been rented a lot. Placket is a bit "over pressed," and there's a tear in the side lace. There's a side zipper, so don't try to force it on over your head!! Overall, it a cute dress, especially if you're looking for something different.

Comfy, cute & complimented
This is a great dress! The flower print is not overpowering like some this year. The dress is lined & fabric is comfortable. I rented this for work, and wound up wearing it on vacation, too. You can dress it up or down. Got loads of compliments from work mates and family! Tempting to buy, but it would need some minor alterations as it's just a tad big in the waist. Might be able to size down, but the top fits well.

Comfortable fit, solid look.
I own a few RL dresses that are all made from this same stretchy viscous fabric. They're all comfortable, reliable and look great. This one was no different. The style is alright (and no I did not wear it with flip flops). The Weather Dog approves (clearly) and so did many others. Several calling the look, "Classy." Always nice to get positive feedback on different looks!

This Ted Baker London dress is an absolute favorite of mine. I'll be sad to send it back, but can't afford to buy it! Love the fit & cut. Arms not too cut in, so sleeveless is okay! The laser cut bottom is a nice touch. Material is soft, but holds its shape. Looked great on TV, but could be worn for an evening out or event. Perfect color red...a real winner!

Cute dress, comfy, too. Not too stretchy, holds its shape. Belt came in separate bag in garment bag, so make sure you look for it. I dressed this up and down for on camera TV work. Used my own belt one time, looked great!

Donna Morgan runs large, bottom line. This was still a little "forgiving" in the fit, but worked okay. Needed to wear a cami underneath because this is a bit low cut for work. Can work though!

This dress has a unique neckline, with kind of a tie at one side along with a little slash. Black undergarments recommended. Fit and fabric on this dress, just fantastic like almost every Shoshana dress I've rented. This was brand new, and I had to cut the tags off! I was apprehensive to wear due to neckline & skirt. Finally did, and received LOADS of compliments. Nice to get "rewarded" for a "risk."

Disappointing design
Seriously, why was this dress such an exaggerated hourglass? I have no clue. If you're small on top, and wide in the hips, maybe this dress IS for you. But generally, I like my clothes to fit evenly or at least in the correct places, and this did not. Never wore it.

Thin fabric, unflattering fit
Not a fan of this Ralph Lauren knockoff. Fabric was thin. Dress way too clingy, and showed every line of undergarments. Faux wrap was impossibly low cut with no way to rectify. Skip this dress!

Too much "keyhole" for "prime time"
Love Shoshana dresses! Have rented several now and gotten compliments on all of them. This one I'm sure would be the same, but NOT in a work venue. The "keyhole" on this dress is quite low, and you can't really wear a tank or cami with this. So, it just didn't work for me. A date, an event or something, sure. But this was too much keyhole for prime time office viewing. Plus I am not really a fan of the bell sleeves.

Perfect Spring dress
This is the perfect Spring dress, especially the color. Love the pink! Fit was okay, but I am losing weight and will re-rent a 4 instead of 6. (Did re-rent the 4) Better, but you'd better work those arms! Very "showy" in the "pit puppy" area. Like the cap on the shoulder. Arms not cut in too much. (Some sleeveless dresses have a more tank top like shape, this does not.) Fabric is a light wool blend, lined nicely.

This dress has pockets!
Cute, sporty dress with slash POCKETS! Fits great, looks smart. Might be a little short for some, but I was okay with it. Fabric is stretchy and lining soft. Zipper is a little sticky, & dry cleaning fluid a little prominent. Otherwise this is a cute colorblock dress. Did I mention it has pockets?

Not bad, but not super
I wore this dress only once as it proved pretty difficult to get in and out of. Side zipper forces a pullover/shimmy move to get into it. And some delicate maneuvering to avoid tearing it on the way out. Fitted in the top and hemline, but rather generous in the hips. Additionally, the side zipper makes a "poof" down your thigh, which make the lines uneven. The cowl in the back proved difficult to deal with as it hung oddly. Love the color of this dress, sleeves and fabric.

A Little Short for The Office
I love this DVF dress color - a perfect blue! Top portion is a great fit. Looks good with big jewelry. But I don't typically wear something this short to the office. Hit me about mid-thigh, which would be fine for a nice dinner/date night with a strappy heel, etc. Fit was generally good - again though, as I found lately - quite "forgiving" in the waist/hips. Maybe size down next time? Generally flattering, but the true hits are ones I get compliments on, and this one missed the mark a bit.

Yes, a perfect fit! BUT the fabric is a little strange - almost wetsuit material. So not the most breathable dress I've ever worn. It's pretty plain, too, so dress it up with a long necklace. Looks great/works well with tights and booties.

Giving up on Black Halo
So SAD!! I LOVE Black Halo, but don't have the arms for these dresses. Body tends to fit in my size, but shoulders and arms are typically too small. Audrey Hepburn would have looked AMAZING in these! Maybe I'll try to size up in the future, but it's too much effort right now!

Too "Hippy!"
I believe these Donna Morgan dresses run large, so maybe size down. This one though, WOW, way too "hippy" for me to even consider trying to wear. I don't have much to work with in that dept. anyway, but this was ridiculous. Looked like I had clown pants on! I may try again in the future, but will certainly SIZE DOWN!

Perfect for the office
First of all, excuse the messy dressing room and my dog & his photobombing! This was a great knit dress that besides being slightly itchy at the neckline, looked great and was perfect for the office. Top fit great, waist and hips felt a little large. Thinking this may be the way this brand runs, so be aware. Might want to size down. Lots of compliments and not too short. Good Fall/Winter look with tights.

Super comfy...LOVE the color!
I really love this dress. The fabric is comfortable and yet still holds up well. The fit looks nice; sophisticated for the work that I do. I received a request to learn where I'd gotten it from a viewer (I work in TV as a meteorologist). That is always good to me. Overall, I'd recommend it for an event or for a more formal/dressy work environment.

This was for work, you could wear it to some kind of cocktail event, and it would be perfect!
In hindsight, and in looking at it on air (I work in TV, I'm a meteorologist) this one might be a little short for working on the Chroma-key wall. Other than that, I think it's cute. I received a lot of compliments on it. The sleeves are a little puffy, and the "V" neckline is also a little too much for TV.

Sharp for Fall
Fabric is comfortable and soft on this shift. Looks great for Fall with tights, boots and a long necklace. (See photo). Would have like to try a small just to see, but I like that the waist was tailored, and not straight. Approval from co-workers, and Willis the Weather Dog! Looked good for on camera work as meteorologist (essentially full length).

I rented this for work as an on camera meteorologist & anchor. The first one that arrived was a medium, but this dress runs at least 2 sizes smaller. Medium is more like a 2-4. I exchanged for a large, and that is more like a 6-8. So fit was good! I believe this particular dress may have been repaired with a new zipper. There's a little "poof" at the tail end, right on your rear, that makes it stick out. Good news for me, I was sitting at the anchor desk, so you could not see. Bad news is the fabric wrinkles fairly easily. So with lots of sitting, it was a little rough when I stood up. Otherwise not bad!

Too revealing for work
I LOVE Black Halo, & was excited to rent this dress for work. It fit like a glove, but the deep "V" neckline showed a bit too much décolletage for my job description. The crossover slit was a cool design element, but again, too revealing for work. Esp. when seated. If you've got a black tie event or fancy cocktail party to attend, wear this beauty all evening! Just doesn't fly going from work to an event.
