Wrap

The gray portion of this is a sparkly, scratchy sort of material. I was expecting it to be a softer, sweater-like material and didn’t wear it because the sparkle made it more of a ‘formal’ top in a way I was not looking for.

I typically wear a Small, but the XS of this jacket was perfect! The ‘blouse-like’ style of this jacket is unique and I appreciated the flowy fit of the sleeves which taper at the wrists. The length is also very flattering!

Fun but professional
On its own, I would consider the jacket ‘oversized’. With the matching skirt, it had the right amount of femininity while still being professional. I did have to iron the jacket as it had a tendency to collect static and ‘stick’ to the skirt. A quick iron solved that issue, though!

I am a C cup, and this shirt was far to open on the sides for comfort. The tie in the back is low, so there is literally nothing keeping the shirt secure at the chest. Way too much side boob showing.

Very pretty! The lining underneath the dress was much shorter than the outer layer and kept riding up. The upper layer was long enough to cover, but the lining situation made the dress a little less comfortable.

I am usually a true size 4, but this dress was too big. The thick fabric looked awkward wrinkling out in the areas where the dress was loose. The seam or fabric in the armpit was also noticeably itchy, although I would have toughed it out and worn it anyway had it fit correctly.

Difficult
The top is gorgeous -- it is just logistically difficult to wear. The long ties in the back make it hard to wear under a blazer. The open back makes it hard to find a bra. The material is very thin and, although it is not see-through, almost any undergarment shows through. I really wanted to love this but I would not rent again.

Tall girls -- I am sorry, this is not for you. I'm 5'8" and this was waaaayyy too short. I have no problem with showing some leg, but this dress was beyond that! The dress fit perfectly width-wise and through the torso/arms, but the skirt is just plain too short for a tall girl!

I got several options for my event and did not choose this one. I rented for a fall wedding in New York, and this dress had a more laid-back, beach-in-Mexico vibe to it than I was looking for. Fit well, length might be too much for a shorter person. I am 5'8", but a smaller frame might be overwhelmed by too much fabric.
