great color, lovely dress
This is a great dress and was a lot of fun to wear! It's a lovely rich purple color in person. The dress creates a fantastic hourglass shape. It runs fairly true to size, maybe a little big up top. It's tight down to the knees, which makes it a little hard to dance in.

very much a special occasion outfit
fun to wear and got lots of compliments! went with the slightly larger size so it would sit a little lower with more separation from the top. The skirt is more of a purple, and the brocade stands out more (less of a subtle textural element) than it appears in photos.

Great dress with sexy but not too revealing cut outs.
Felt great in this dress! It's got a nice silhouette with sexy but not too revealing cut outs. I could even wear a normal racerback bra underneath. The material is thick and has a nice textured pattern that's hard to see in the pictures, but which added interest in real life. It does run super super small though - I sized up two sizes and that was perfect.

It was so much fun to wear!
I wore this to a November black tie wedding. It was so much fun to wear! I loved the flow of the dress, sweeping out behind me. I got so many compliments on this dress. I sized down because I'm small busted and the dress runs a little big, and it fit great. Highly recommend.

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner. It's a great color dress! I liked the classic sheath shape of the dress, but with awesome, unexpected detailing on the shoulders and back. It fit nice, but not perfectly. I wore a size up because my regular size was too tight on the lower half of my body. Consequently, the dress pouched a little around the middle and was too big up too (the straps kept sliding down). The material was stretchy, but thick enough that it didn't show everything.

I rented this to wear to a rehearsal dinner. From reading the reviews, I knew it ran small, so I ordered one size up and then another size up as my back up. This dress is tiny and has no stretch. Both sizes were too small! I could fit into the largest back up size, but it would have been inappropriately tight for my event. This dress is also very (very!) short. I'm on the tall side, but this dress barely covered my booty. Again, inappropriate for my event. Lastly, the material of this dress was not what I expected. It is a very heavy, thick, almost rug-like material.

so so so small
This was actually an emergency back-up dress as the dress I originally rented was unavailable in my size. I opted for the small, which I thought would be fine (I usually wear a 4, sometimes a 2, sometimes a 6 depending on the brand). The small was teensy tiny; I couldn't even get it on! The arms and shoulders wouldn't fit. I was really disappointed because I actually loved this dress - maybe even more than the one I originally picked! I would try to rent this again, but would size at least one or two sizes up.
