Beautiful color
This blue is basically a neutral and would look great on anyboday. I got a ton of compliments on this dress. The waist is quite high on this, almost an empire waist on me. The cut and volume of the dress sort of echoes a Korean hanbok. It was very comfortable and would look flattering on many body types.

Black dress that makes a statement
I wore this to my partner's work gala that was black tie and was a black and white ball. The folded accent at the bust really makes a statement and drew many compliments. The dress ran a bit big in the waist but was snug through the hips so I had to adjust several times to avoid it bunching strangely in the waist area. The dress feels high quality and substantial. It pairs well with a pair of dramatic earrings and nothing on the neck.

Appropriate for work
The dress is a nice color and work appropriate. There is ruching along one side that is a little awkward looking as it makes the dress pucker a bit in strange places. The thigh slit is fairly high so you have to be careful about how you sit. The 2 was definitely too big on me and I've worn a 2 in other Milly dresses before and they have been fine. The fit was ok in the hips and chest so the 2 would have been fine except the dress was inexplicably big in the waist which was accentuated by the ruching. It was so big that I think it is more an issue of cut and the 0 may not have been much better. This dress might fit better on someone with a more straight body shape.

Got so many compliments
This was a beautiful skirt (I'll be honest, I may buy this one) and it was very versatile. It worked for chilly days with boots and a denim jacket, but it would be great for warm weather with a tank and sandals. It is work appropriate unless you are on a strict suit dress code. I got a ton of compliments and questions about where I got the skirt. It was also very comfortable and didn't wrinkle much at all.

Floaty perfection
Loved this dress. Very light and feminine cut and details. The dress does run large though and I had to pin the dress for fit reasons. I may buy this one I liked it so much and got so many compliments. It's perfect for summer but is also great for Spring or Fall with a denim jacket.

Runs very large
I got a 4 in this dress because of another Jason Wu XS being snug in the arms for me. This was a mistake as I was swimming in this one. It's a beautiful dress though. Could be dressed up or down and the fabric is light and easy to wear. I'm guessing I would need a 0 in this dress, because it was not fitted on me at all. The waist, hips, and bust all ran large for me compared to other dresses from this label. The fabric has no stretch so maybe they cut it a bit larger for that reason. I usually wear a 2 but I can't imagine it would fit true to size given the 4. That all being said, it's a really lovely dress if you can figure out the right size. I may try it again in a different size.

Eyecatching work dress
Pros: Really well made, eyecatching design for a work appropriate dress, unique details, can be dressed up or down, would photograph well. Cons: Seems to run big, itchy fabric, bottoms of sleeves were badly stretched out so the fabric may not be super-durable or at least does not bounce back well I really liked this dress, I just wish I had gone with an XS in it as it was way too big and was puckering and scrunching up with extra fabric in the back and waist and skirt. The dress itself may just be stretched out though as the sleeves were almost bell like at the end for me and I have athletic arms and sleeves are never too big on me. The cuffs look stretched out too. That being said, the rest of the dress looks off the rack new, it just makes it hard to tell whether the dress runs really big or someone stretched it out by sizing too low. The black parts of the dress have sparkle and are shimmery which I couldn't tell from the picture. The dress is comfortable to move freely in, but the fabric made my arms really itchy. I didn't have any problems with lines with normal undergarments but the fabric does hug the body without compressing it so you may want to wear with Spanx if you want compression.

Nice dress, not in great shape
This dress was pretty. It's a nice wine color and the V was not as deep on me as the model so it was actually work appropriate with a cardigan, tights, and boots. I could wear a normal bra with it which is a plus. It's pretty casual though, fine for a low key date night. It is a deconstructed look so the seams are all shredded up and down the bodice. Unfortunately the dress I got had seen better days - long loose threads everywhere and the hem looked like it had been repaired or altered. The fabric was also just worn looking generally, especially under the arms. It was incredibly comfortable. I went with a 4 because it was what was available and it was too big so I think this runs pretty true to size as I usually wear a 2. This wasn't my favorite dress by a long shot - nothing special about it and the dress probably needs to be retired as it looked like work dresses I've had for several years in terms of condition.

Favorite dress ever
So I sized up to a 40 based on some of the other reviews. I think I probably should have gone with a 38. The dress is tight, skin tight, by design. It was a bit loose on the non-sleeve side at the top. I think the smaller size would have still fit but would have taken care of that issue. At any rate, it wasn't noticeable to anyone but me. This dress is stunning. It is dramatic and understated at the same time. It felt good to wear - it's well constructed, the fabric is thick and luscious, and the sleeve "bow" is amazing. It folds beautifully and really makes the dress special. I'm not completely sold on the cutouts - I could do without them or might prefer them if they were a little smaller, but this dress is a showstopper as is so I'm not complaining. My boyfriend adored this dress. I felt like a star all night. It's a head turner. I wore it with big earrings and black suede Kate Spade booties to make it a little less formal. It felt appropriate for a fancy dinner out but could definitely be dressed up for a more formal occasion as well. Wish I could buy this one and I will definitely rent from this brand again. You kind of have to pour yourself into this dress (no zipper) but it was incredibly comfortable and I wore it with a strapless bra and seamless underwear - didn't need shapewear at all to make it work.

So comfortable!
This dress is awesome. If it was just a little smaller I think I might buy it. It is super comfortable. Nice soft and thick fabric, with stretch. The problem is it runs very very large. I got the XS and it works but it is definitely too big. I usually wear a 2 or sometimes a 4 if the material doesn't have give because I have hips and booty, but this is pretty visibly loose through the back and waist on me. It looks fine, but the fit is not perfect. The neckline on this dress is awesome. There's something vaguely military looking about the neck so I feel like this is a dress that is a true power dress - I feel like a badass in it. I'd wear it for negotiations or even an interview and feel very confident. It can go day to night too. Love it, just wish it ran a little smaller.

Pretty dress, pressed wrong
The dress is beautiful, it just wasn't the best on me of the couple of options I had. The one I had arrived pressed in such a way that the skirt did not lay like the picture though. The royal blue backing fabric didn't show at all and that really is what makes the dress special and not just another generic navy dress. I would have had to re-press it to have the folds of the skirt look right, so just be aware that this one may not be off the hanger wearable when it arrives. Dress ran true to size and was a nice quality fabric. If you have a longish torso and have a big difference between your lower rib measurement and your natural waist, be aware you may need to size up as the narrowest part of the dress was fairly high up my rib cage and I'm not tall.

Pretty cocktail dress, great for a wedding
This dress was very pretty but the one I received had clearly seen better days. There were some visible pulls in the mesh and the color read very one note - the contrast between the band and rest of the dress just wasn't present. I couldn't wear a bra with it and there are some built in cups to give a smooth line, but there's no support or structure in it. My chest felt pretty smashed in it and not in a good way. It looked pretty, it just wasn't very comfortable. The one fit issue was that no matter what I was doing, the mesh on the front wanted to crease horizontally which made a weird black line across. I couldn't figure out how to stop this and it kind of killed the look of the dress for me.

Beautiful color, but itchy and an unflattering cut
I was so excited about this dress but it just didn't work on me. The waist band sat very high up the torso and not at my natural waist and the flared skirt just had way too much volume. I got a 40 in this but I could have gone with a 38 I think. It was a bit loose through the waist for me, then again the bust was pretty tight so maybe this one just wouldn't have fit me well either way. The fabric is VERY sparkly and shimmery but incredibly itchy. If you have sensitive skin, don't go for this. I had red irritated marks pretty much everywhere a seam touched my skin after about 5 minutes before deciding this was definitely not going to work :( If you aren't sensitive to scratchy fabrics, I think this dress probably works best on someone who is either more top heavy and trying to get volume at the hips for balance or someone who has a more straight and narrow figure.

Beautiful lucite earrings
These were gorgeous. Very eyecatching and in spite of being pretty heavy they didn't bother my ears at all. The post and back are a very nice design to balance the weight well so they don't pull or droop. The drops are a beautiful ice blue color with some iridescence. These were stunning with a high necked indigo Cinq a Sept dress. Wish I could keep them!

Perfect dress for a premiere
This was a perfect dress for a night at the Kennedy Center. The color is a a purplish blue - indigo I guess. It read very purple in some light and almost navy in others. I usually wear a 0 or 2 depending on the designer but wore a 4 in this and it fit like a glove. I didn't have the problem with the zipper others had, but I did treat it with a soft pencil first on the teeth so it ran smoothly. I would have had a hard time getting in and out of it solo though because the top of the neck button was fiddly and the side zip and hook were awkward alone so I was glad for extra hands. I wore a strapless bra under it just because I was worried about the look without one with the chilly weather. The fabric is thick and lovely though so you don't really have to worry about any sort of undergarment seams showing through. I've never worn spanx, but I don't think they would be necessary for anyone with this as the fabric is heavy and very smoothing. The dress was incredibly comfortable and the peek-a-boo back was sexy without being risque at all. Length was at the top of the knee on me (5'5") so it might be a weird length on someone very petite.
