This is a great dress with a few caveats. If I hadn't found the Shoshanna Otherworldly Sheath this would have been my go-to dress. Slim-fitting and gorgeous blue with excellent bling. I loved the long sleeves because I'm always cold and every little bit of coverage helps keep me warm. The sequins are twinkly and the ruching at the waist is a godsend. Made my problem-area slight belly disappear. On the downside, the sequins got caught in my hair all the time. I'd have to wear my hair up to make this dress tolerable for me. Mind you, I have really long hair so if your hair is shoulder length or above you'd probably be fine. The other downside is that the sequins scratch. Once you've got the dress on it's not much of a problem except at the legs. You wouldn't want to wear stockings with this dress since they'd probably get runs right away. Other than those two things, it is a great dress! (BTW, I rented the S and it was perfect)

This is a lovely dress. I ended up not wearing because I rented the Shoshanna Otherworldly dress and wore that instead. I wanted blingy and this dress didn't have that. That said, I would absolutely wear this dress for an event that required less shininess. It's got a great heaviness that is an earmark of well-made clothing. Really nice! Plus, pockets! I have a small chest (barely a 34B) and it fit me well. Someone with a 34C or larger would be smashed in the bodice. Also, the dress doesn't stretch so the bodice is very snug. I needed help zipping it up the last inch or so. So, if you're a 36 or larger, maybe go up a size. The straps want to slip off your shoulders as other people have said. If I rent the dress again I will definitely try some double-sided tape to keep them in place.

Love, love, love this dress! Loved it the second I saw it! The sequins are a glorious green-blue mix and they change with the light. One young woman said I looked like a mermaid. It definitely has that sleek, shiny, green-blue of mermaid legend! The side panels are black and stretchy which is slimming and makes it easy to move. Also, that means there are no sequins in the armpits to scratch your skin…excellent! The dress has a good lining that sometimes needed to be tugged downward, but it definitely wasn't a hassle. Sometimes a few sequins flipped up and showed their backside, which is dark. That made them noticeable because they weren't green-blue. But super easy to just smooth them down. I rented both the 4 and 6 and fit into both of them. If I had been going to a club or slinky party I would have worn the 4. Because the event I was attending was a formal work affair, I decided to go with the 6 which wasn't tight and hung just right to be slim-fitting. I would absolutely rent this dress again…and hope I have another event in the future which merits it!
