I loved this dress. The fit was spot on and the combination of sequins on the front but stretch material on the side was genius. This dress is very fitted, but because of the design and the material you really don't need spanx in the right size.  It's a very showy, glittery dress and you will definitely stand out. The only downside is that the sequins will sometimes pop up and you have to brush them down, but that's such a minor flaw I can't downgrade for that.

I loved this dress and the pics online did not show how cute it really is! Wore it out on the town in Vegas. Everyone complimented it. My bust is very large but it still fit. Maybe better for smaller bust with a size 4, but the 6 would have been too big in the waist for me.

Stretchy material and sparkling sequins are great for hiding problem areas. Great length, too. Not too short. 

It fit like a glove. Very flattering and slimming. The sequins started to rub underneath my arm by the end of the night, but it wasn't that bad and was pretty fair considering I wore it for like 8 hours!

I wore the dress to a dinner dance at a conference. It was very comfortable and I was complimented all night long. Thought he dress was green there were many other colors created by the shiny texture. I wore sandals that helped bring out the golds. 

I normally wear a size 10 or 12 depending on the style and cut, but after reading the reviews I took the 10 and 8.  The 8 fit a bit snug on me so I went with the 10 which was much more comfortable and allowed me plenty of room to move and dance.


This dress takes on a whole new life once you take it off the hanger. I didnt think i would be into it and then it just became a crowd wower. I wore it to my companys holiday party and everyone asked me about it all night. it has black sides which gives the appeal of a slimmer body and adds some curves. Would completely recommend this dress

The dress arrived 4 days early so I was happy about that. This dress fit true to size and was very comfortable. The sequins changed colors from yellow to green and blue. Everyone said I looked like a mermaid. It was not scratchy or heavy and I was comfortable all night. Great dress.

I rented this dress for a New Year's Eve party and it was perfect! Fit true to size but it did flatten the chest like I had read in other reviews. I ordered the 10 and 12 and ended up goin with the 12 because it was more comfortable. The 10 fit but was more snug and his less. Perfect dress for a wow look!

I wish I had ordered the size 4 but ordered a 6 and it fit a little
loose. I would preferred it to be more body-con but that was my fault. Besides that, the dress is beautiful! So shiny and sexy without showing too much! 

Fabulous dress! I wore it for New Years, and it was perfect. The sequins change color in different lights and unlike other reviewers, I thought the colors on the picture of the model were accurate.

The fabric panels on the sides make it very wearable: no scratchy sequins under the arms, a little more stretch to help the fit, and a body slimming illusion.

Good for all body types because of the stretch and the focus on the sequins over the shape.

Dress fit true to size and was surprisingly comfortable, given the amount of sequins!  I noticed most reviewers have said that it's predominantly green, however, I found mine to be true to the picture.  I had found and ordered shoes ahead of time hoping they'd match, and they were PERFECT!  (If you're interested - they're Betsey Johnson).  I am currently trying to find where/how to purchase this dress, I loved it that much!  Truly an eye-catcher.  It can easily be styled differently to suit your own taste if you want to throw on a different jacket, or go without, and add the right jewelry and shoes.  I'd say it's a TAD bit short, but I'm a bit taller than average (5'10" without heels) so that wouldn't necessarily be fair to say.  Either way it's wonderful for any party!  Will definitely rent again if I cannot find to purchase!  (I rented via a friend's account - I am usually a size 0, 30 yrs old, 5'10" 118lbs, bust size 32DDD).

I absolutely loved wearing this dress and got tons of compliments. It definitely accentuates curves, so that's something to consider. I'm tiny on top and it was flattering for me. It's stretchy and comfortable, and bold without being too revealing. 

I loved this dress - it's perfect for the holiday season and the fit is great. It runs true to size, but if you prefer a looser fit in any area, I'd recommend going up a size for back up. I paired it with a blazer (Helmut Lang Tux Blazer) for work during the day and it made it more office appropriate.  I got compliments all day (and night!).  Highly recommend.

This dress was amazing! Everyone stopped me to talk about it. The dress was a huge hit! Was tight in the bust so I worn a 6 instead of the 4, but it was still comfortable. I loved this and would rent it again. 

Pros: 
uh, LOOK AT THE DRESS! You are going to get attention. It's a BAM ALL EYEZ ON ME! outfit. And while I usually don't wear something like this, it was awesome to have the attention. My self esteem was running on the high of wearing this dress. 
It's iridescent--blue, green & gold. I concentrated on the green. The jewel tones are great on my complexion.
Cons: 
*Not very flattering if you have a tummy.
*if you have boobs--you won't in this dress. It smashes them down until they are non existent and almost uniboob. It was unnerving to me to have my stomach bigger than my boobs. Even with a shaper, I was sucking in. 
*It rides up and you have to constantly tug on it. The lining stays up so you have to go underneath the dress to pull it down along with the dress so that the lines are smooth. I guess that is my own OCD--I like smooth lines. You keep tugging on the dress and the liner stays up there...I could feel it. Very annoying. I didn't drink enough...
*It doesn't really accentuate the curves, and I was wearing a squeem that is supposed to make me an hourglass. I felt like I was straight up and down. Maybe a smaller size? The 12 was like a bag on me. I am in between a 10 and 12 due to weight gain so I always get the size up. 
*You are sitting on sequins, don't wear this for something you are going to be sitting for. Unless I was sitting on sequins because of the liner disappearing by my waist. 


This is a gorgeous dress for a festive occasion.  It is form fitting, but not constricting.  The color is brilliant and the length is just right.  

As everyone else has noted, the dress is more green than blue. It catches light fantastically and is really the perfect combination of spectacluar + comfortable. 

The dress is cut pretty straight so for a very curvy girl I wore the 6, which was a little tight in the hips but necessary for the dress to come in at the waist. The 8 looked like a potato sack around my waist. The lining rode up all night (probably because it was tight in the hips), which was annoying but didn't hurt the effect. As shown in a few other RTR user photos I wore this most of the night with a 3/4 sleeve black blazer and simple black pumps, which gave the dress more professional feel without taking away the stunner effect. I tried the dress with fancier shoes but it was over-the-top. Simple is really best for accessorizing this sparkler. Ultimately I got more compliments in this dress than anything else I've worn in my entire life, so I 'll take it.

Wore this for New Year's Eve. It was comfortable, a good length (I'm just over 5'3"), and really stood out with its unique color and sparkle. I danced all night and it didn't ride up. Got lots of compliments. Note that the dress sequins are more green than anything else. 

This dress was so fun! I'm not sure that the cut was the most flattering thing I've ever worn but I just loved the colors, mostly this awesome shimmery green, and it stood out in a crowd. It fit true to size, I could have worn the 6 but felt more comfortable in the 8. I feel like this dress made me feel more fun and daring. Perfect for my NYE birthday! 

I am long waisted and it fit totally goofy on me. It has a sculpted fit and the "butt" hit me in my lower back. So there was this awful baggy pocket on my back and above my hips. I was in a bind so I wore a blazer over it and it hid the weird stuff. Only an issue if you're long like me I imagine.  OTHERWISE: the sequins are so rad! Lots of compliments! Bright and unique. And they flip over to another color so it's very fun to draw things with your fingers on the dress after a few cocktails heh heh. :)

It didn't fit perfectly, but I am very large in the bust. It was looser than I wanted around my tummy and very tight across my chest.  Probably not the best for hourglass bodies. 

This dress was perfect for a night out in Vegas and I got a ton of compliments on it! Like the other reviewers it's definitely more green (like a Kelly green) than the stock photos of the model, it must be the light, but it was awesome! It was true to size and definitely form fitting. My only complaint was that the liner kept running up during the night so I had to keep pulling it down or the sequins would scratch. 

The dress fit pretty good in the size 0. I just wish it was a little more form fitting at the bottom. Also the sequence irritated and scratched up my arms by the end of the night. Over all it was definitely a great statement dress.

The dress is comfortable and flattering, but the colour is really misrepresented on the website. Definitely more of a green than blue. Our event was at the Museum of Natural History, and I was going for a "galaxy/universe" kind of look. I think I ended up looking more like a sparkly green fish! 

I honestly was so disappointed with this dress. It is almost completely green in real life, which I was not too thrilled about because the picture makes it look like it has different shades of blues. The smallest size available was a 2, but I wish it came in a 0 because there was lots of extra room on my stomach. I got a lot of compliments on the dress and it was really comfortable, but it wasn't what I thought I was paying for.

This dress was very comfortable on the inside, not too itchy. The sequins didn't bother me throughout the night, although I did have to make sure they were flattened after standing up. The colors were flashy, but I kept my jewelry minimal and I wore black heels to keep the effect from being too showy. All of my friends loved it, I would definitely recommend it!

The sparkle and colors of this dress drew me in. It would have been too much for me on its own, but I enjoyed treating it as a tunic and putting some less glam pieces with it to be concert-worthy at a small club. Lots of compliments on this interesting piece.

I was advised that this dress runs small and to order up a size so I was originally supposed to wear a 4. As it turns out, I thought it ran pretty true to size and I was able to wear the 2 comfortably without feeling like it was too tight - might be more difficult for someone who is more pear shaped. I received lots of compliments and absolutely loved this easy dress. The sequins were a bit scratchy on the side, but nothing too bad. The neck was slightly tight on me but nothing too uncomfortable. This dress might be a problem if you're pear shaped or have large upper arms/shoulders/bust. Overall I would highly suggest it though!

This dress is AMAZING--I loved it so much that I'm tempted to try to find one so I can make it a permanent addition to my closet. It's shimmery and iridescent and the fit is INCREDIBLY flattering (partially because of the black side panels). The cut at the top is flattering as well. It's just tight enough to lend a sexy silhouette, but not so tight that you can't breathe! It stays put even with vigorous dancing so I wasn't pulling down on the hem of it all night, and the sequins make it so that it won't wrinkle and will look just as good at the end of the night as it did when you started. Overall, I was VERY impressed with this dress. I felt like an absolute goddess in it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun party dress or a dress for a night out on the town!

Fit was just perfect! I really enjoyed wearing this. The only negative was that some people thought it looked worn due to the fact that the reverse side of the sequence are black. But I had the most fun wearing it!!

This dress is just a ton of fun to wear.  Super super comfortable, breathable, and eye catching material.  It's so dramatic yet the cut is not over the top and it's still a classy little number!

Runs a bit large but there's a definite difference in length when you size up. Went with the 4 and loved it!  Very slimming. I'm not sure how to describe it, but the sequins are constructed on the dress in such a good way that it doesn't catch on hair or look bulky at all. You do have to kind of pet the sequins down after sitting or it looks black because it's flipped over and makes it appear like the dress is ripped. Wore it for New Years and it definitely stood out amongst the red, black, and gold dresses. Highly recommend!

Wore for NYE and got a lot of compliments. I'm normally a 4/6 (usually 6) and I ended up wearing the 4. The 6 was baggy. It is definitely more green than blue but it was gorgeous anyway. Would highly recommend.

Black side panels are contouring and also prevent scratching of the arm pits. Agree with other reviewers re: color. Sequins are green when light is from above, and blue when light is from a lateral source. Only cons are that it was scratchy on the backs of my legs to sit in this dress, and if you have any front pooch at all, your average Spanx are not going to hide it in this form-fitting dress. Super shiny and fun though. 

This was tight. I probably could have used the 10, but shape wear helped me feel a little more comfortable. It's also quite short if you've got a booty, so this is great for winter when you can wear it with tights. The color is amazing, and changes with the light. I really felt like a punk rock mermaid! It barely needs jewelry and just really stands out. The black paneling on the sides helps prevent the sequins from itching your arms. 

I wore this dress to a NYE family party and it was a hit! The dress is a bit on the short side and can be a bit tight on top if you're busty. I wore the size 10 and 'the girls' were still a bit tight, the bottom fit great, anything larger would have been too lose on the waist and bottom. Other than that, the dress was very comfortable and looked fantastic! I would rent it again.

The sparkles aren't on the sides, so you don't have worry about putting your arms down and getting abraded. There is stretch. It's not fussy and doesn't have weird fasteners or anything. Love how easy it was to wear. Simple. If I owned this I would get so much wear out of it. Love it for a party!

A fantastic dress that I would definitely rent again.  The interior lining and black fabric side panels make this much more comfortable to wear than most sequin dresses I've owned (no scratches under your arms or other pokey places) As most reviewers state, it is definitely more green than blue, though I didn't mind it because it reads as a peacock teal sort of green and that's a color I love.
If you're more pear shaped (hips and a butt) definitely order your true size --don't try to sneak a size down. The true size will still be very flattering and form hugging. I ordered a 10 and an 8 and knew immediately the 10 was going to be easier to sit down in, even though both looked good. People were calling me a mermaid all night and I think this dress definitely made an impression at the company party.

The dress is truly more green than blue. I wore it to my company holiday awards dinner and everyone loved it. The mesh inlay on the sides keeps sequins from rubbing you raw. The dress is kinda short but I didn't mind. The sequins do itch on the back of your legs if sitting for a long time. I'd suggest nylons if you're going to be doing a good deal of sitting. Overall, MULTIPLE people commented on how the dress reminded them of Shego from Kim Possible "only much sexier" someone added. A great dress, great price, if recommend it!

This was my first RTR order. Because I procrastinated, I received the order the day of my event. It worked out, however, because the first size I tried on worked great. The dress has enough stretch without looking sloppy.  It's a little on the heavier side with all of the sequins, but not overwhelming. Very comfortable fit overall. The length was short, but not too short on my 5'8" frame. Threw on some sparkly earrings and black heels. Poof! Holiday party fun.

This was a very fun dress! I felt sexy but comfortable, and definitely a statement piece. All night people kept asking me where I got the dress and I replied RTR proud :) Only downside to the dress, and why I didn't give it 5 full stars, is the sequins shift whenever you sit and can make for some awkward butt patterns. My fiancé was fixing the sequins on my behind all evening (don't think he minded that much)!

It's a snug true-to-size dress. I'm a 36DD (apparently not on RTR's radar), but my Spanx were more restricting than the dress. Got tons of compliments & felt great in it! Would definitely rent again. :)

Dress fit well. Not too tight. It did make my girls stand out (38C) so that can be good or bad. Wore this in Vegas and I did receive a lot of compliments on the color. Didn't feel super sexy but it was definitely a fun, bold statement. 

I rented this dress for Halloween and it was a hit! Super comfy and actually kept my body warm since it is nicely lined. 

This dress was a show stopper for sure.  I wore this to dinner for my sister's bachelorette weekend.  The sequins were more green in color.  The lighting made it look blue or yellow at times. I got complements all night long!!  I LOVED how amazing this dress made me feel.  It is made of spandex/stretchy material under the sequins. It had a little give, which made it nice.  I could have worn the 6, but it wasn't available.  The 8 worked fine.  The only place the sequins bothered me was along the hem line sitting at dinner. No other issues.  I would highly recommend this dress!!

I wore this to a charity Casino Night. The 8 fit pretty true to size, but a bit snug for this event.  I sized up so that I wouldn't need to pull it down throughout the night. It was surprisingly comfortable. There are fabric stripes down the sides, so no sequin scratches on your arms!  The sequins are much more green than the model photo- "mermaid" was the most common comment people made.  Only con was that there are blocks of slightly different color sequins towards the bottom, but it was hardly noticeable when I was wearing it. Loved wearing such a fun dress that people are still talking about!

The 6 was not available so I went with the 4.  It was a little tight but worked.  Wore it to a concert and felt great in the dress!  

I picked this up at the Vegas store for a night out. I had so many compliments!!! It stopped people both men and women in their tracks to say something about it. The picture does not do it justice at all. It looks green or blue depending on how the light hits hit. I got a size ten but likely a size 8 would have been a little more fitted but overall the dress was extremely comfortable. I will be looking to buy this when it goes up for sale. This dress MADE my night. 

It was so comfortable, not heavy or scratchy like many sequin dresses. I wore it for my company holiday party in the jewelry industry and it reminded me of a gemstone. The length was great, above my knees and I am 5'4". I went with the 12 because I wanted it to be more of a straight fit rather than body con. I think you can wear it tight and go down a size or two or go up a size and wear it loose like I did. Many compliments. I won an award that night and did have to straighten out the sequins on my backside from sitting during dinner before I went up on stage. First time renting and customer service was responsive when I was trying to place my order. The rest of the shipping and receiving process went smoothly.

I rented this dress to attend the launch of the feminist art magazine for which I'm Managing Editor...I wanted to look fun and special. Mission accomplished. This dress is pretty wild in person, and it definitely gets attention. I found it a little tight, though I'm usually in between a 12 and 14, 34F, so this makes sense. It didn't have quite as much stretch as I expected, having read other reviews. The sequins made the tightness slightly unflattering, but nothing too awful. The crew neckline and mid-thigh length are both nice. I wore it with black tights and ankle boots. I didn't do much jewelry, just tiny blue post earrings. I recommend this one if you want to stand out and feel like a space age mermaid

Love, love, love this dress!  Loved it the second I saw it!  The sequins are a glorious green-blue mix and they change with the light.  One young woman said I looked like a mermaid.  It definitely has that sleek, shiny, green-blue of mermaid legend!  The side panels are black and stretchy which is slimming and makes it easy to move.  Also, that means there are no sequins in the armpits to scratch your skin…excellent!

The dress has a good lining that sometimes needed to be tugged downward, but it definitely wasn't a hassle.  Sometimes a few sequins flipped up and showed their backside, which is dark.  That made them noticeable because they weren't green-blue.  But super easy to just smooth them down.

I rented both the 4 and 6 and fit into both of them.  If I had been going to a club or slinky party I would have worn the 4.  Because the event I was attending was a formal work affair, I decided to go with the 6 which wasn't tight and hung just right to be slim-fitting.

I would absolutely rent this dress again…and hope I have another event in the future which merits it!

Flattering fit with illusion panels to create nice shape.  It has full sequin front and back, but dress is well made and sequin remained in place all night!! 

The dress was very tight at the bust but I loved the look and it was comfy. The sequins didn't hurt although they sometimes lift up, unjust have to smooth them out again.

This dress is killer! It runs very true to size, and the side panels are maid with a stretch material for an easy fit. The sequins on this piece are like fish scales - they look blue or green depending on how you move and the light. Mix this look up with a button down and preppy flats for a cool, geek chic gone street clean, look.

By looking at other people's pictures, I assumed I needed the 4 but I got a 2 to be safe. I went with the 2 because it didn't move around as much on my body as the 4 did. The sequins all stayed in place and were a cool look for pictures. I got a lot of compliments and I felt like a rockstar.

Fun color, it's quite green, the picture on the model doesn't quite show the color right.its a lovely lovely dress and I got the 2 and 0 and they both fit well but I was going to stuff my face and wanted some room for my belly so I went with the 2. I usually rent a size 2 or 4 but for this dress after reading the reviews realized it runs somewhat big especially if you are not curvy.

If the sequins didn't lie flat they tended to give the dress a look like it had missing sequins in different parts.
But I would rent this dress again. It was excellent.
