I wore this out to dinner and dancing for a friends bachelorette party. No Spanx needed as the individual banding of the Herve Leger dresses acts as built in Spanx (to be honest, you could actually wear Spanx under this for an even sleeker look, which I've done before). I wear a US size 8-10, so a Medium in Herve Leger fits me perfectly. Because the dress is stretchy, it is forgiving but shows EVERY curve. The only thing I didn't care for was the strapless style (it's me, not the dress) because it accentuated my armpit pudge. I believe this dress has a built in bra, which was nice, snug, and comfortable...no tugging to pull the top of this dress down!

This dress is comfortable and fits true to size. I was able to wear Spanx and a convertible bra with it. It held up well to an afternoon of sitting in the sun and dancing well into the night. I got tons of compliments on my dress, but mostly on my fascinator. I wore black ankle strap sandals and a stack of bangles.

I bought this bra to go with a backless dress I rented from RTR. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it fit, looked, and stayed on! I wore it to a Mardi Gras ball, so there was a lot of dancing, reaching for throws, and sweating. The adhesive stayed on ALL night, which I was afraid it wouldn't do. I followed the application and removal instructions to a tee, so I hope they will work again next time I need them.

I ordered this dress and one other for a wedding, as there weren't multiple sizes available in either dress. This dress was pretty on, but the arms were tight on me. Plus, due to the multiple layers, it was making me hot on an already humid mid-summers night. Overall, I just didn't care for how the dress looked on me, although it is very pretty.

The dress is forgiving and very comfortable! I was bloated from eating my way through pre-wedding festivities, and it didn't cling to my stomach. I wore black pumps and a simple multi-layered gold necklace to top off the look. The dress was comfortable to dance in all night. I did notice that if I wasn't careful raising my arms or adjusting the dress when I sat down, the bottoms of my Spanx would peek out. I got tons of compliments and found the dress to be the perfect weight for a May wedding in the south.

The fit is true to size and with the long, I was able to wear 4" heels without the dress being too short. The drape back is a nice alternative to showing cleavage or leg, especially in a situation where one needs to be able to move freely. I wore a bra with this dress, by purchasing the one offered by RTR that is strapless (I forget the name but it's basically the cups with the sticky tabs on the sides), and I was surprised at how well it stayed on despite dancing, reaching for throws, and sweating (it's hot at these balls!). My only accessory was my face paint and a stack of bangles.

I'd say the dress is TTS and looks gorgeous on, as it made my waist look small and balanced my broad shoulders. I wanted an 8L and 10L, but there was no 10 available. The 8L fit comfortably, although it wasn't as long as I'd hoped. I'd intended to wear this dress with 100mm (4in) heels, but it was a little short for my tastes so I went with 75mm (3in) heels instead. I was able to wear a strapless bra underneath, without it showing. RTR forgot to send the belt (in the stock photo) that matches the dress, so I used one of my own to cover up the snap that is designed to hold the matching belt in place. I tried a very thin grosgrain bow belt and a thicker sequin belt (both black), and went with the sequin belt because DH liked it more. The slit on the side of the dress went up to the top of my thigh, so shapewear was out of the question! As others stated, if I held the dress when I sat, I was able to overlap the fabric so that my upper thigh was covered. I got so many compliments on this dress and felt very elegant. I wish the photos did the dress better justice, but you won't be disappointed!
