I ordered this as my back-up dress for a beach wedding and loved it when I took it out of the bag. There is a beautiful gold thread element to it that isn't completely apparent from the photos. I was prepared to wear it instead of my first choice because it was so lightweight and flowy, perfect for an outdoor setting. However, when I got it zipped up, I felt very stuffed into it and self-conscious of my midsection (my problem area). The waist is a little lower than a "true waist," especially on someone with a short torso like me, and so it cut very sharply into me just under my waistline where my body starts to widen again. Since the top is so structured (you wouldn't need a bra), and the skirt so flowy, this created a shelf-like shape between my hips and my waist that I didn't feel was flattering. I'm 5'9" (I've got legs for days, despite my short torso) the length on the Long was perfect. Sad that I didn't get to wear this beautiful dress, but it is much better suited for ladies with longer torsos or smaller hips than me.

Ordered this dress to wear to a beach wedding because the pattern on it was so fun. The fabric is heavy, and the dress is very structured, so I didn't need to wear a bra, but was a little hot. Not sure I would wear it for another completely outdoor event in the summer (due to the weight), but would definitely recommend it and would rent again. The waistline hits at your true waist, so the skirt hides all imperfections in the tummy/hip area (my problem areas), and highlights your bust and legs (my assets). Got a lot of compliments and kept impressing people by pulling a myriad of "wedding essentials" out of the pockets.

Wore this dress to a Derby party that I was hosting and received compliments all day. The ruffles hide all imperfections in the midsection (my problem area), and are very feminine and fun. The straps are a little long and fell off my shoulders a few times, but didn't create that armpit fat that some dresses highlight. Wasn't structured enough for me to not wear a bra, but a standard strapless did the trick. Would recommend this dress to anyone and would rent again.

Wore this dress to a semi-formal wedding, and received compliments all night. Runs true to size, but there is no give in the banded area, which is great because I didn't need to wear a bra, but not great if you have a large ribcage. The high waistline and full skirt hide all imperfections in the tummy/hip area (my problem spots), while still looking sleek. I was a little surprised how long the front was for a hi/low dress, was expecting the front to hit around my knees, but it was about halfway down my shin. I am 5'9" and ordered the Regular length due to availability, but am actually glad that the Long length wasn't available. Would recommend this dress to anyone, and would definitely rent again. And, oh yes, it has pockets!

I RTR frequently and never had an issue receiving the dress by the stated delivery time. However, this time, UPS required a signature and the dress was not delivered before I had to get on a plane to leave for the wedding for which I had ordered the dress. I called customer service and they were EXTREMELY helpful. The original dress was routed back to the warehouse and, since I was traveling to New York, they made me an appointment at the 5th Ave showroom to pick out a new dress. I was able to pick out a new dress and pick it up the morning of the wedding. Even though I didn't get to wear this dress, I am once again a satisfied RTR customer!

This is a great dress. The color is beautiful and the fabric is heavy without being weighty. It hides problem tummies and it has pockets! I got compliments all night long. I took off a star because the bust is very roomy despite being very low cut, so it is hard to wear any type of bra to hold you in place. I wear a 34D and still had way too much room. However, it was nothing that a well placed (and thanks to the construction, well concealed) safety pin couldn't fix.

This was my back up dress for a friend's wedding, and it turned out to be perfect. People complimented me all night on it. The fabric was a little heavy for a summer wedding, but I was going to sweat at an outdoor June wedding regardless, and the color was perfect. I was serving as the unofficial wedding coordinator and the pockets were perfect for carrying tissues and extra bobby pins for everyone! The skirt is FULL and hides everything below the waist, which makes you look tiny on the top, always a plus. The top is very structured and so I didn't need to wear a bra (despite being a 34D), and I was definitely able to dance the night away comfortably. I would absolutely reccomend renting this dress.

I rented this for a friend's "Country Chic" wedding. The style, coloring,and light fabric was PERFECT for the occasion and I was so excited to wear it. However, when I went to try it on, RTR had sent a size 6 belt for a size 10 dress and a size 4 belt for a size 8 dress. I could zip the size 8, but the top is very structured, almost corset like (so much that I wouldn't have need a bra, despite being a D cup), and the 10 was much more comfortable. It didn't matter, however, because neither belt fit. While I could have worn it without, the pop of color really makes the look (and matched my toes) so I decided to go with my back up dress. I have seen a couple other complaints about the belt, so if you are going to rent this dress, I would reccomend having it delivered as early as possible, so you have time to exchange the belt in time for your event.

I love RTR and rent a dress for most of my special occasions these days. I am not a big jewelry person, so I had never used the accessory option before, but was excited when the promotion ran to "finish my outfit" for only a few more $. However, when the accessory arrived, it was earrings. I dont have pierced ears. I let my sister borrow them (and they looked fabulous), but I wish there had been an option to at least choose what type of accessory was sent. I would have been thrilled with a necklace or cuff or clutch.

I rented this for my birthday in Vegas, and it was perfect for the occasion. It was comfortable and stylish and best of all it had pockets. The length is a little short, but becuase of the shape of the skirt, it stayed in place all night. It was comfortable for dancing, although it did periodically shift to the right and had to be adjusted. But overall, great pick.

I rented this for NYE this year so I could have a little sparkle without going totally overboard. In terms of bling, it was just what I was looking for, but it was SO short. I ended up putting on leggings and knee high boots with it (instead of patterned tights and pumps as I had initially planned) and the evening was saved. Definitely works better as a tunic/top than a dress.

"You look AMAZING," is what I heard all night long when I wore this dress to a December Wedding over the weekend. I normally wear an 8, but ordered the 10 and the 12 becuase I am carrying a few extra Thanksgiving pounds at the moment. The 10 fit, but I should have ordered the 8. I paired it with my Grandmother's mink stole and a chunky gold necklace and recieve so many compliments on the ensemble. This dress was perfect for a winter wedding, despite being strapless, the fabric is very heavy. The detail is subtle, but really makes an impact. While the color is slightly more green than the picture, it is still beautiful. AND it has pockets!!! I wish I owned this dress.

I am a true hourglass shape and since the bottom of the dress has zero stretch at all, I ended up wearing the size up that I ordered as my back up, which made the top a little too big, but becuase of the sheer nature of the dress, it still looked great. I would recomend this dress to anyone.

I wore this dress to a wedding in Portland, OR, and it was perfect. The fabric and one sleeve were perfect for the cooler "summer" weather and the length made it flirty but not obscene. The dress hung great on my hourglass shape showing off my curves but hiding my tummy, which could definitely use a few more trips to the gym. The previous reviews were extremely helpful because the dress runs big and I ended up wearing my back up size that I had ordered a size smaller than I usually wear.
