Great cinched waist, flattering V-neckline and subtle blue-metallic streaks in the light. Wore a regular bra and was super comfortable all night long. Dressed it up with some sparkly accessories for a black-tie optional wedding and fit the occasion! 

Beautiful dress, loved the material and the pockets. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the straps were a bit long for my petite frame (5'3", 115 lbs). My backup size was a 0 but that wouldn't zip. So I went with the 2 but I couldn't wear a normal or strapless bra because the back hung too low on me. It also made the front pretty low cut, but I wore a sticky bra and pinned the front a bit and it worked out wonderfully. Would still recommend it.

I liked the cut (flattering for small chest) and it was long enough for an evening of comfortable sitting and dancing. The color was beautiful but looks rather dark in most lighting. The zipper was easily jammed but otherwise nice dress. 

I really loved this dress, it was so flattering on my body type, and the color was gorgeous (this picture doesn't do it justice, it's a shimmery teal). My only complaint is the waist is very very tight, when I first put it on I could barely breathe but it got better throughout the night. I would recommend sizing up for your back up size, if a 10 was available that might have been better than my normal size 8.

The dress fit beautifully with a regular bra (had to tuck straps in, but otherwise not noticeable).  I have a wider rib cage (closer to 36.5" small B cup) so it was snug around the ribs and I definitely needed my padded bra.  I think on a typical 36B would have been fine. 

As a nursing mother with a toddler, I have a lot of specific needs when it comes to a nice dress and little hope of finding one the meets them and is reasonably priced so I'm lucky I discovered RTR, because they helped me look stunning for a formal wedding!  The dress was just a little snug around my ribs, but otherwise fit perfectly- and I was able to nurse relatively comfortably.  It was also long enough to run after and pick up my two year old while still looking sexy enough for the hubs to show me off.  

Loved everything about this dress - great fit, super flattering, and pockets! I rented this to attend a wedding as a guest and wanted to keep it forever. The dress was thick and luxurious fabric but still super comfortable for a summer wedding. Five stars!

This dress was great. I alternate between sizes 6 and 8 depending on the style of the dress, and the size 8 of this dress fit great. I got tons of compliments on the dress, and the colors were perfect for a late March wedding. It was also easy to match with shoes and accessories that I already had. Very happy!

Great fit for my pear shaped body. Top is low cut but didn't bother me.  The description states you can wear a normal bra but that wasn't the case. The back of the band was a few inches higher than the top of the back of the dress:/  oh well. Not an issue for me though;)
Loved this dress! Felt like a million bucks. 

This dress was perfect for the cocktail-attire wedding I attended in January. I ordered the 8, with the 6 as a backup, but I ended up wearing the 6. The V is low and sexy, but the skirt is longer and full, so I felt plenty covered. The only issue I had was that the zipper was hard to pull over the ruching at the waist, but this would be the case for any dress with ruching. I received so many compliments and I felt beautiful and confident all evening long. I paired the dress with the Kenneth Jay Lane Gold Shadow Bib necklace.

The color and pattern of this dress was so much more rich and luxurious than I had expected. I wore this to my brother's October wedding in New England and got so many compliments. The style of the dress was exactly what I was looking for, fitted in the waist with volume in the skirt. The top has a deep v-neck, fine for small cup sizes. Larger cup sizes would show a lot more cleavage.  In my opinion, this dress ran on the smaller side through the rib cage and mid-section mainly because the material has no stretch.  I wore the size 2 and suffered through the tightness because the size 4 was too loose in the chest/straps so I would have been adjusting them all night.  I highly recommend this rental especially for the price!

The dress cuts down just far enough in the back that it makes it difficult to wear a bra. I was able to wear a teal bra that didn't really stand out. I would have preferred the size 4 dress, but they didn't have it for the weekend I needed it. With the 4, I think I would have felt a little more secure in the top part of the dress without wearing a push up bra. The skirt was much fuller than I was expecting, but in the end with the right shoes, it looked really great! The dress was super comfortable and a great choice for a summer wedding. 

The fit was as I expected. It allowed me to wear a normal bra underneath and stay comfortable all night long. The dress has gorgeous material and is lined which makes it warm despite being sleeveless. It is more of a dark navy with teal highlights than the stock picture shows. It was a great color and allowed me to have fun with accessories. The pockets are a great addition. 

I rented this for a fall wedding where the reception was held at a nice country club. The dress fit well for the most part. The top of the dress was slightly large on me, so I did have to use a few safety pins to secure the fabric around the cleavage and to affix my bra to the back of the dress so that it didn't show. It was a great length and had a very flattering shape. The scrunched fabric across the stomach area was great. I received many compliments and would rent this dress again.

Perfect color and material for fall wedding. It has pockets and you can wear a regular bra. I was looking for a "longer" length short dress, so I was pleased with the length (especially because it was a chilly night!) Fun to dance in and comfortable post-dinner. If you're looking for a dress that you know you'll be able to wear (I've made the mistake in the past of picking something too "daring" or that required fashion tape- and ended up in a panic) this is your dress. Note: I personally found that it ran a tad small up top. I'm an hour glass. I may have worn a 6 if I sized up for my second. (I usually go between 2 and 4).

I felt amazing in this dress! I have a wider rib cage so it was a bit tight but not uncomfortable. The bust and waist fit perfectly and hid my postpartum belly!

Loved this dress! It was incredibly flattering and fit like a dream. 

I absolutely loved this dress! It's a very flattering fit for a pear shape. The color is even more pretty in person than it comes across in photos. I was worried about filling out the bust without a bra, but I was able to go bra-less just fine!

Four stars for color  and cut -more jade/teal in real life.  Appears darker in photos indoors.  Couldn't zip up the back of the size 4 but size 6 fit perfectly.  Unfortunately bust area was slightly larger too and didn't lay as flush to skin as I would have liked revealing a little more than needed at a wedding event. Loved the pockets though!

The dress fit true to size. The fit was perfect and so flattering! The color was also exquisite. The lace slip underneath the dress came ripped which was unfortunate but that didn't stop me from enjoying the dress. It looked great with simple jewelry and and my hair down and curled. I would recommend this dress for any body type but especially curvy and athletic shapes.

This was my favorite RTR dress so far. I wore it with the Nicole Miller star light star bright necklace and bracelet and it looked great. Had to size up to my backup size 6 I am normally a 4 but I am breastfeeding and around a 36 DD size - so I would suggest others to size up for backup size if you're larger chested or have bigger rib cage also. The 4 barely zipped up and I couldn't breathe well and it squished the girls a lot. I wore a black regular nursing bra under and since this dress is so low cut you could see part of the bra but it blended in nicely with the dress and didn't look bad - also it's easy to slip off the straps so I LOVED that I could nurse my baby without having to take off the entire dress. A+++ 

This dress is beautiful- the material is a gorgeous shiny Jaquard and it's clearly made to be a quality item. I thought it was true to size-
The straps were a little long compared to most other dresses but I'm tall and have a long torso, and I thought it fit nicely. 
It appears that some renters should have gone a size up- the zipper looks like it's pulling away from the fabric. 

This dress was beautiful in person and really comfortable to wear. It is a dark teal with a little texture and sheen. The fit was true to size but I would size down for the back up. Really loved wearing this all night! 

I wore this dress to my brother's wedding, and it was perfect for the occasion. Very elegant and fit true to size. Best part is you can wear it with a regular bra so you can dance all night and not worry about it falling down. It has pockets too!

The material of this dress was amazing! I loved the pockets and that I didn't have to wear a bra. The 6 fit perfectly. This was my first RTR experience and I loved the entire process. I will definitely be renting again.

My BF is a choral conductor and singer who wears a tux and tails (!) or regular tuxedo for concerts. Since I don't want to buy new dresses all the time, I decided to try out Rent the Runway, and it worked out very well. This dress is a beautiful irridescent material that looks different in different lights. I got a lot of compliments! I got the 4 and the 6. The 4 was a little too tight in the back, so I went with the 6. The straps were a tiny bit long so I had to be conscious of making sure my bra wasn't showing, but I was able to wear a normal bra. The zipper was a little difficult to move and clip and the top, so that's a two-person job. The dress is very comfortable, and it's fun how it flares out at the bottom. I am shorter than the model, so it came down slightly below my knee, but not long enough to look awkward. I was glad I chose this dress for the concert as I proudly next to my conductor BF at the end as everyone was congratulating him. 

I chose this as a back up for my rehearsal dinner dress- and I was so glad I had!! The original dress didn't work AT ALL! This dress has a snug-bodice and nicely shows off your chest, but has a swishy, full skirt. It went to about my knees-- which I have short legs, so that's expected. 

I got stopped by women at 2 different locations complimenting this dress!

I wore it for my rehearsal dinner with family and kids, then changed shoes and wore it out as a bachelorette-style get together with drinks at a fancy (and haunted!) hotel. It worked nicely for both -- I pinned a corsage on the dress for the dinner, and wore a cute blazer with family around. I could wear it without the blazer for going out. Very comfortable. 

Pretty similar to Jasmine Rainwater Dress I rented the week before-- cute and princess-y. 

This dress fit me like a glove. It was absolutely true to size. The top fit in all the right places but and the bottom-half was roomy yet very slimming at the same time.  Pockets were a huge surprising plus! Would have bought this dress if I could afford it.

Pros: Loved the color and shine of dress, and the neckline was very sexy without being too revealing. 

Cons: The straps were a little long and had to be pinned, and the skirt was a little more "poofy" than I was excepting. 

Overall: The dress has a very forgiving fit, which made me feel very comfortable throughout the wedding with lots of dancing. Would recommend, but be prepared to pin.



This is one of my fav dresses on RTR. I wore this dress in coral for a September wedding and was so excited to see it in a different color. I was so pleased with the color of this dress. I wore this to a mid-October wedding. I wish I could buy it! 

Love the pockets for the night and the dress is so pretty and shining and the photo doesn't show that.  Very fun and comfortable but very low cut which was fun too.  Great dress.  

The fit was great.  Although the angle on this photo doesn't show it off, the waist was very flattering for my tummy.  I was able to wear a normal bra, even though the back looks low in the photo.  Great color/fabric, and lots of compliments. 

This dress fits  true to size. I usually wear a 6 or an 8 depending on designer. I ordered both the 6 and the 8. The 6 was a little tight in the bodice (wore the 6) but  the 8 was a little too loose.  I loved the pockets. perfect for my phone and lip gloss. The only downside for me was that the dress is pretty low cut. I used fashion tape to keep it in one place.

I liked this dress even more in person than in the pictures. It's a great, bright color and a really fun fabric. It's low cut but wasn't too revealing on me as I have a smaller chest. The pockets were fun too. The only reservation I had was that it seemed s little too long and too poofy for my petite frame. Overall, great pick. 

This was a dress that made it easy to feel beautiful. Like many of the other reviewers, I loved the color and fit of this dress. The photos truly do not do the color justice, and the skirt has a wonderful shape to it - generous in the hips but still flattering from behind. It is low cut, particularly if you're busty to begin with. As the stylist in the RTR write-up says, this probably works for smaller chested ladies, but I actually loved how I looked in this dress, despite the DDs. Let me put it this way, my mother-in-law wasn't shocked by the cleavage, so I went with it. If you are more modest, then this may not be the right dress for you; when I tried to pin it at first, it did not pin particularly well, and I was afraid of damaging the dress or ruining the neckline. I chose not to wear a bra (just some dress tape to prevent any gaps up top), but you could easily wear a bra with it, if that makes you feel more secure. Also, definitely order a size down for your back-up size, especially if you're bigger-busted.

One additional note, as someone who is still working on her post-baby body, this dress really was ideal. I felt pretty, confident, and perfectly able to pick up and hold my squirmy 18-month-old as well as dance when the little guy finally went to bed. I was very sorry to return this dress. Loved it. 

The fit was true to size in the waist. The bust was quite tight though for me. The material of this dress has a subtle sheen to it and it almost changes from blue to green depending on how the light hits it. It's a really fun material and the shape of the dress is a nice classic silhouette. I'm 5' 11" and this dress fell right at mid thigh for me, so it was a little on the short side, but I'm still young enough to pull it off. Overall, great dress.

Perfect cocktail dress a fall or winter wedding! Chest runs small, but so does mine. Ha! It was very comfortable to move around in with an appropriate balance of modest but flattering style. Great "safe" choice for anyone looking to quickly choose! Also, they suggest pairing with gold accessories, but I went with silver and it killed. :)
