Very pretty and sparkly but understated. It went okay with my dress - not amazing but ok. Everything was sold out for my rental date so I chose this because I've had it on my swish list for a long time. I think it would go better with a different dress or less formal event possibly. Only complaint is that it kept flipping over so the sparkly side was under my wrist because that part is heavier.

The dress itself is nice. I think it's TTS - maybe a little long but workable with 4" heels. Only complaint on the dress itself is that the hemline is really basic so it doesn't look very polished. In good condition, I think that's unnoticeable though. I recommend the dress, but I had a couple of issues. I would've worn the 8R - my normal size - had it been in good enough condition to do so. It was clearly stretched out and destroyed in the bust area from prior usage. The boning on the right was contorted away from my body in the rib area but okay in the chest area. The boning on the left was okay in the rib area but messed up in the chest area such that it didn't go smoothly up to the top of the dress where it should've been stitched into place. Instead it stuck out stabbing me in the chest. Also, it's hard to explain but the band on the bottom of the built-in bra section was twisted and stretched out so that it didn't sit smoothly in between the bra and the dress. It was twisted half where it should be and half peaking into the bra area like a saggy elastic. Finally, the hemline as I mentioned was almost unfinished looking and on this dress it was very wavy - possibly from cleaning over time? (Speaking of cleaning - both dresses smelled strongly of some sort of freshener - like when I use Dryell to home-dry clean my clothes from time-to-time. Wasn't a fan!) I was pretty distraught about this whole situation, but I gave the 10R a shot. It was big but not so big that I couldn't wear it and didn't have those issues in the bust or hemline area. I had to wear a padded strapless pushup bra and tons of dress tape to keep it up. I should've safety-pinned the dress to the back of my bra because it felt like it was gaping the entire night. Not my most comfortable evening or rental experience, but I did receive lots of compliments nonetheless so I figure people probably couldn't tell.

I'm so glad I rented this. It was beautiful!! It fit everything I really needed and looked awesome with the Nicole Miller Midnight Sequin Stars gown. A little tight fitting my phone in there (iPhone 5S) but once I took my case off, it was ok. One thing to note is that if you plan to carry this around all evening (e.g., like if your party is cocktail style) and end up holding in between your arm and your body, it will definitely leave cage impressions on your arm. Not a big deal, but I was totally surprised LOL. Still though - GORGEOUS.

The 8R fit perfectly on me. Many reviews said that it was too low-cut, but I was phasing out breastfeeding so my chest wasn't huge at the time. It was great because there wasn't too much cleavage going on. I was able to wear a regular albeit deeper-cut bra. I threw on a Spanx too for a little extra smooshing, but the dress would've looked great/been comfortable without it too. For me, the length was perfect with a 3"-4" heel. You couldn't see the heels when I was just standing there, but of course, when I walked, you could.. I wore it with sparkly platinum-toned heels. Felt like black would've been too stark and dull but the soft platinum sparkle was awesome b/c it kept the look formal and polished. I also rented the gold birdcage clutch recommended by RTR (reviewed separately). I wish I got a picture to post with the review because those were invaluable to my decision on which dress to rent so I'm so sorry about that! Some people said to size down. I'm glad the 6R was sold out because it would've been too small. I did grab the 10R just in case since it was free, but it was somehow SHORTER than the 8R, and just altogether ill-fitting and sloppy so much so that the quality of the dress seemed sub-par. The condition of the 8R was not like that! I'm glad that the 10R wasn't my standard size because my impression of the dress would've been totally different.
