This is way beyond oversized and into “I’m wearing the jacket of a 6’4, 300 pound man.” I wanted to wear this in a business formal setting with the matching pants but it was unwearable. I even subsequently got the size small, which was also comically too large. Not sure what the target audience is for this.

I wore this in a formal corporate setting with a black top and blazer and was happy with it. It did need some steam when it arrived and the waistband is very small and wouldn’t quite stay right but overall happy with it and did get compliments on it.

This dress was very pretty but too small for me to wear comfortably. My husband was in favor of the dress and how form fitting it was but it was too tight for my tastes. I’m right in the middle of a 6 and 8 so this is a common problem for me. The other dress I ordered, I got in both a 6 and an 8, and ended up in the six. So if you’re between sizes like me, I’d go up but would not necessarily go up a full size if you’re normally one size all the time.

I ordered both the 6 and 8 and the 6 ended up fitting better. For reference, I’m a six in pants at banana republic and a small in tops, but in higher end designer brands, I usually tend towards an 8. This dress looks best quite fitted and the fabric is thick enough to hide flaws. Be aware that bras are tricky because of the placement of the cutouts. I’m a full B and went without a bra, which the top had enough support to allow but if I was any bigger on top, I would have had an issue! I intended to wear with 3 inch heels, which would have been perfect but ended up injuring my foot and needing to go in flats. In flats, at 5’7 in the size 6, the dress brushed the floor but was still wearable. I got many many compliments on how elegant the look was.

I was nervous about this dress because it's entirely skin tight and I'm not exactly model skinny. I was worried that my stomach would stick out and the dress would look too tight. But these herve leger dresses are magical! It sucked me in in all the right places and gave me great curves. I got compliments all night long and the most facebook "likes" I've ever gotten on one picture! I intend to rent another herve leger for my next holiday party!
