Fairy princess vibes
Beautiful gown, and very lightweight in spite of the sleeves and skirt volume — I survived a Texas summer afternoon in this dress! Since you have to go braless, I highly recommend double sided tape if you are smaller chested — I couldn’t quite fill the bodice out and I was on high alert for ~slips all night. Otherwise, perfect.

The *convertible* factor really came in handy!
Previous renter didn't return in time for me to receive AR length. RTR was very generous in providing me with backup options, but I ended up going with the L anyway because I was set on wearing a particular statement necklace that paired perfectly with this dress. My SO and I are the same height, so I was wearing flats -- the AL wasn't *too* long, but the AR would have been perfect. When it was time for dancing, it was great to be able adjust the neckline for more chest coverage.

An all-time favorite rental!
A sophisticated dress with a little edge to it. Extremely flattering with the defined waist and a skirt that flows over your bottom half. As a small chested gal, I loved the mesh panel; it was like "damn right I don't need a bra!". I noticed from photos from other reviewers that the sleeves didn't quite hit full length on taller girls, and they did fall kind of awkwardly short of my wrists, but that that wasn't a dealbreaker. Easy to zip up and comfortable. Would absolutely rent again.

Felt like the belle of the ball
I have had this gown on my RTR wishlist for YEARS and I am so glad I finally got the chance to wear it! As a pear-shaped gal, I cannot rave enough about how flattering it was to my figure. That said, everything you've heard about the zipper on this dress is true -- it *IS* that hard to get zipped up, and you *WILL* need an extra set of hands (and possibly pliers). Once it's on, though, it fits like a dream. I wore it with a floor-length petticoat for extra volume in the skirt -- highly recommend

Beautiful gown!
Ordered the 4R; went with the 6 because the smaller size fit a little *too* well --- extremely figure flattering and made my waist look super snatched, but inappropriate for a wedding guest. Busty girls will probably want dress tape. I think with more elaborate hair, heels, and bling-ier jewelry, this gown could have a more black-tie vibe, but I paired it with understated gold jewelry (including the Banks Coin Necklace from RTR) and flat sandals, and the look was perfect for a formal wedding.

Beautiful quality!
I hardly ever wear strapless gowns because I don't have much to hold them up, but I'm so glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone with this one! It has a nice bustier effect and was extremely flattering. The Long size definitely is LONG --- I'm 5'9" and was wearing 5" heels, and I still caught myself stepping on the hem a few times throughout the evening. Got a ton of compliments and felt super glamorous!

You can't help but feel like a bombshell when you slip into this dress. Nicole Miller is a designer I often seek out on RTR because I've found that her dresses tend to be cut for "womanly" shapes, and this one was no exception. I had on some heavy-duty Spanx to nip my waist in as much as possible, but the way the dress is designed makes it flattering on its own. The fabric is weighty enough to give you the feeling of being held in without feeling uncomfortable, and it didn't ride up my thighs when I moved around, which is something I usually struggle with when I wear bodycon dresses. Definitely got a ton of compliments, and my boyfriend said that practically every guy in the bar we were at gave him a thumbs up or an approving nod when I wasn't paying attention --- nice to hear, haha. My only issues were the extra material that gaped at the shoulders (I notice I'm not the only reviewer that dealt with this), and a small hole on the side seam towards the bottom of the dress that ended up expanding quite a bit by the end of the night after I'd been dancing and frolicking. It's probably better suited for ~sit still, look pretty~ kind of events. But I definitely did not want to take it off because it was doing me ALL the favors! Made me feel spectacularly sexy for my birthday and I would absolutely rent it again!

Gorgeous...but not designed for booties!
Let me just say that I had no issues with the dress itself --- it is very well made and absolutely GORGEOUS, with a sexy film noir vibe --- but rather my body in the dress. It simply isn't cut for a woman with full hips and a butt, and the fabric has NO stretch for accommodation. I quite liked the way it fit my upper body, but I had to do some wiggling and say a prayer to pull it up over my thighs. All night, whenever I had to bend at my knees for any reason, it felt like my booty/thighs were *thisclose* to busting through the fabric. Such are the struggles of being extremely pear shaped! For ladies who are slim in their lower half, I'm sure this gown fits and feels marvelous. I'm 5'9", wore 5" heels, and the Long came down to the bottom of my shoes. Rented for a sorority recital --- it's a perfect choice for an event where you have to err on the conservative side but still want some sex appeal.

Classy and subtly glamorous!
This is one of my favorite pieces I've had the pleasure of wearing thanks to RTR. It's a very well made gown --- the structure of it, the draping, the way the fabric swings when you move --- and I felt like a million bucks after slipping into it. It would be a good choice for ladies who are worried about jiggly bits, because you can wear ALL of the Spanx with it --- I did! I'm usually straddling the line between a 4 and a 6, and the 4 zipped up without a hitch with room to spare, though I did have to wiggle a bit to pull it up over my hips and booty. But, trust me, if it fit ME in that area, other pear-shaped ladies need not fret. Overall, it was pretty true to size, and the long length was sufficient to mostly cover my 5 1/2 inch heels. The slit was just right on me --- high enough to be sultry, but nowhere near risqué. I turned a lot of heads and got a lot of compliments that night, and I felt so lovely. It was one of those that I didn't want to send back!

Va-va-voom meets ladylike elegance.
Of all the designers I've worn via Rent The Runway, Nicole Miller has consistently DELIVERED. This gown is the perfect blend of sexiness and class --- the figure-hugging cut, curve-enhancing lace panels, and sweetheart neckline are all very alluring, but it is so finely made and has such a sophisticated silhouette, it never seems like it's trying too hard to be a "sexy" dress. It's just flat- out stunning. The 2L was my backup size, but I went with it because I'd been hitting the gym hard in the weeks leading up to my event and the 4L was a little too big around my waist. (The struggles of being pear shaped!) It looked very small on the hanger, but the dress has enough stretch that it zipped up without a hitch and fit like a glove. It gave my tiny chest the appearance of being relatively well endowed with the help of a padded strapless bra. And ladies, let me tell you: if you have a booty and you like to flaunt it, you will never want to take this down off! I paired it with some 3-inch slingback heels (any higher, and the dress might have been too short), RJ Graziano's Crystal Infinity bracelet from RTR, and my own diamond pendant and matching earrings. Thank you to Rent the Runway for yet another night where I felt like the belle of the ball, and for your truly outstanding customer service.

Showstopper!
Absolutely perfect for a regional theatre awards show/gala. Eye-catching and glitzy without being over-the-top and tacky. I have a tough body type to dress --- very pear shaped, long torso, short legs --- and the cut of this gown made me look like a supermodel. And can I just say: how WONDERFUL to be able to wear a normal bra for a change. It's a tough dress to accessorize, because the sequins really shift between silver and gold depending on the lighting (at times, the AV Max Gold Hammered cuff looked all wrong; under the right lights, it was the perfect complement). I ended up just wearing the bracelet (and some dramatic eye makeup!) and let the dress speak for itself. First time I've ever gone to a formal event without so much as a pair of CZ studs in my ears, but this dress doesn't need to be jazzed up with extra bling. I wore a pair of metallic, champagne-colored 6 -inch platform heels, and the 4L hit right at the platform of the shoe. It may defeat the whole purpose of using a dress rental service, but I'll DEFINITELY rent this stunner again. It's just so much fun to wear!

Warning --- not for the faint of heart!
I wore this for a dinner/show/night out on the town. I think my friend conveyed the essence of this dress right after we left the restaurant where we had dinner; in her own words, "Do you realize that every man you walked by WHIPPED his head around to look at you?" This dress was a definite attention-commander, and I got tons of compliments from friends and strangers alike. I fell in love with it and I'm sure I'll be renting again --- or maybe even buying, because it's worth it. The Medium was actually my back-up size, but I went with it because the Small was SO short --- I'm tall with wide hips and a long torso, so I shouldn't be surprised. As other reviewers have said, the fabric is really snug and holds you in, in the best possible way. Don't get me wrong, I didn't exactly binge on nachos for lunch before wearing this dress out, but it really emphasizes your waist and curves without having to suck in all night long. If you're feeling bold, give this dress a shot. Let me put it this way: if you feel like you can rock it, it's the *perfect* dress to wear when you suspect you might encounter an ex over the course of an evening! ;)

Wanted to love it --- but not a good choice for taller girls.
Rented this for a charity concert in which I was performing. It was the perfect style for the Classic Hollywood/Evita vibe I was aiming for --- if only it FIT! I'm quite small-chested and extremely narrow through the ribs and shoulders from the side, so I can't be *too* upset that the shoulder straps gaped as badly as they did --- tucking them under themselves with a pair of safety pins fixed that issue, However, I was extremely disappointed by the length. The size 4L barely brushed the top of my feet before I even put heels on. The 6L was no better in that department, and wasn't as alluringly form-fitting as the 4, so I went with the smaller size. If it were just *three* inches longer, it would have been perfection. As it was, it really shortened my legs and looked very tacky floating off the ground. I'm so happy with photos from that evening that are shot from the waist up (I added the Ben Amun Victorian Statement necklace and it paired beautifully) --- shorter ladies will probably love it from head to toe.

Classic, old-Hollywood glamour!
Paired this with the matching bracelet as the finishing touch for the Monique Lhullier "Lusting For You" gown for a black tie charity concert (hence the mic taped to my face!). It took the overall look from "wow" to "STUNNING". It really gives a million-bucks finish, and is perfect for a vintage vibe. Then necklace is gloriously sparkly in person, and it is in excellent condition. If I could afford to buy it, I would in a heartbeat --- until then, I'm sure I'll rent again!

I cried euphoric tears when I saw the "final product" --- I've never felt more beautiful.
I took the plunge and decided to drop the pretty pennies on this gown for a black-tie gala last winter, and I do not regret spending that money at all. I felt like a goddess, and people's jaws dropped when they saw me enter the room. I was accepting compliments on my dress all night! The weight of the fabric is much heavier than you might think, which gives the skirt an alluring swing when in motion and lets the dress hug your curves in all the right ways. Due to my height and the fact that I was wearing 5" heels, I opted for the long length, and it hit exactly where I wanted it to: below my ankle but above the balls of my feet in the heels. The lace is very high quality and not elasticized like cheaper "lace" usually is --- word of caution: carefully make sure you have a good range of motion lifting your arms before you go and hit the dance floor, because the lace does not have much give. Unfortunately, my cell phone ended up at the bottom of a hot tub by the end of the night, so all my photos of me in this gown with my full hair and makeup were lost forever --- one of the greatest personal tragedies of my life, lol. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime formal gown that will leave people breathless, look no further! One final note: the night of my event, a devastating winter storm hit North Texas and prevented me from returning the dress on the exact date I was meant to, which Rent the Runway graciously excused without a hitch.
