Weirdly heavy fabric
Rented this for a beach vacation in mexico, thinking it would be a nice breezy white maxi dress. The fabric was much more cream/off white than the pictures show, and it has weird silver metallic threads running through it. It was also lined which made the dress super heavy and I couldn't imagine wearing it in hot weather. IMO it also ran small, I am usually swimming in Joie XS and this was tight on the bust.

not for the large chested
Unfortunately as with most Staud pieces, this dress is not made for larger busts. I am so bummed because the color is lovely and the style is so cute, but there is not enough fabric in the top half. I had to pull the ties in the back super tight in order to not be indecent, which created an unflattering squashed uniboob effect.

super weird fit, not for the busty
I didn't end up wearing this as the matching skirt i had also rented ended up being unavailable. However, I tried the top on just to see if I might want to rent it in the future and it was probably one of the oddest things I've put on my body. It probably works fine if you are smaller chested but for me the top hem gapped out super bad and the cross neckline would not lay flat.

Great as a cover up set
Rented this + the matching shorts to use as a cover up set for a beach vacation in mexico. It traveled well, didn't get wrinkled in my suitcase and looked super cute when worn together. I'd say the sizing for the top is TTS but oversized; the small fit fine but I probably could have worn an XS as well.

Cute, comfortable, breezy
Rented this + the matching top to use as a cover up set for a beach vacation in mexico. It traveled well, didn't get wrinkled in my suitcase and looked super cute when worn together. The shorts ran TTS, I normally wear a 26 in designer jeans and a 25 in madewell jeans and the small in these fit great -- just the right amount of looseness through the hips and thighs.

Weird fabric and fit
Rented this for a beach vacation in mexico - thought it would be a flowy maxi dr3ess. The fabric in person is quite stiff and shiny, so it felt overly formal despite the casual print. It also fit weird in the chest area, gapped out and didn't lay right.

Flattering and comfortable!
Rented this dress last minute for a black tie gala.. limited sizing availability so I couldn't get long lengths. The fabric is stretchy and thick enough to hold you in. I ended up going without a bra because the top was snug enough not to need one; the dress stayed up well all night without having to fuss with it. Felt great and got a lot of compliments! Really wish I could have rented 2L, as the 2R didn't work with heels higher than 1-2". Overall loved the dress and would rent again!

Lovely & understated bangles
I liked that this rental was actually two separate bracelets. I wore one by itself with a dress for dinner, and two together the next night for a bigger impact when going out. The gold finish was very nice, it wasn't brassy looking or dinged up. Would rent again!

Beautiful print!
I rented both the 2 and 4, and based on other DvF dresses I own and have worn, this one runs a little small. Both sizes fit, but the 2 was really tight around the ribcage. I wanted to be comfortable for dinner so I opted to wear the larger size. This print on this dress is adorable, and I loved the thicker, textured fabric. The length was about 4 inches above my knee, so it was perfect for a nice dinner out. I only have one complaint: the dresses I received both looked a bit worn out. One of them had a slight snag in the fabric, and on both dresses the darker colors in the print were noticeably faded (probably from dry cleaning). It might be time to retire this style soon.

Stunning, classy dress!
This dress is absolutely gorgeous! I rented both 2R and 4R and ended up wearing the 2... it fit like a glove and was so stunning on it's own with minimal accessories (I only wore a sparkly bracelet). The color is brighter than it appears in the RTR stock photos - definitely navy but a more saturated blue rather than navy that looks almost black. I was the most worried about the length of the dress and couldn't decide between the regular and long sizes. Based on other reviews I went with the regular length and it was perfect with my 4.5" heels. The front of the gown touched the ground to cover my shoes and there was a slight train in the back. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this rental. I wish I owned the dress!
