Classic, classy, and just bold enough to be memorable
I wore this dress to my little sister's wedding, hoping it would convey that "matron of honor who's not THAT matronly" vibe: classy and respectable but still impeccably stylish and just different enough to be memorable. I'd say it succeeded on every level--it got a lot of compliments throughout the day and won a lot of converts to RTR. The bold and somewhat unusual color worked well with my dark hair and pale skin, so don't worry if you look nothing like the blonde RTR model! The dress is very structured and is somewhat restrictive at the waist and hemline--I found it very comfortable for standing and dancing but slightly less so for sitting or bending (which was only an issue for me as I was helping with wedding setup and breakdown). The fabric is heavy and luxurious but breathable, which was important given I wore it to a June wedding in the South. I'd say the dress runs large for those with a less curvy figure; I normally wear a 2 in designer dresses but was swimming in the size 2 I ordered (the 0 fit me perfectly). However, for those with more of a pear shape, it likely would be true to size--the dress has more room in the hips than in the waist and bust.

Beautiful, beautiful dress. It's a little darker (more of a sandstone color) in person. The fabric is nice and heavy, great for winter events. I wore it to my own small December wedding and it was perfect. It does have some give in the hips and shoulders, but none in the waist. The size 2 fit me like a glove, but I would recommend laying off large meals while wearing it.
