This was so fun to wear, but too much of a statement to own. I liked it for work but it is cut a bit low.

Unlined...
If this weren't made in the USA (thankfully it is), I would have been totally disappointed in this unlined polyester shell of a dress. As a public school teacher in a conservative place (Utah), this dress does the job of covering everything and being a different dress than the ones I wore the days before, but nothing more. Fit is okay. Print is okay. Fabric feels cheap and it's not lined at all. Let's make dresses for a long time, not a good time (and this one isn't even really a good time).

Feels like a knockoff but worked
I normally love Shoshanna but when this unlined polyester frock arrived I was disappointed. Luckily I went up a size (2), have a great seamless shapewear slip, and I've been running lots of miles. This is not, however, a I'd choose if I felt bad about myself. I could move in it. But still! Shoshanna people: pick better materials and line the dress at this price point. Geez!

Waist hangs
I have been complaining about work styles fitting too slim on here lately, but this one made me feel like I’m not five pounds over my norm (I am). And not in a great way because the waist just drooped. Do not size up. If you are little little, the 38 (smallest size) will swallow you. Obviously from this label, though, the quality is lovely.

Christmas at home
I wanted to try this but didn’t know where I’d where it. I’d say too snug for work (the photo styling implies work), especially not without a cardigan to cover the back. I decided to wear at home to finish Christmas cooking (wearing an apron) and for dinner (without an apron). It was just my boyfriend and I and he approved. I did planks beforehand because the dress isn’t forgiving!

Pros (sparkly) and cons (short and should be more flattering)
I am 5’2” and found it to be uncomfortably short for a house party where I might be sitting on couches. Sleeves were a fine length on me, and the bell isn’t too revealing. Agree that material is surprisingly sparkly (a plus) but a little snug and revealing of undergarment lines (minus). This dress made me get on the scale after trying it on. :(

Not wearable.
A tragedy - love the colors and print and fit of bodice. The skirt opens at my crotch. I could maybe wear this with leggings as a top. I am easy to fit an practically never return an item for lack of being able to wear it. The only person I can see this fitting in her true size is Kendall Jenner.

Love this dress; it is truly perfect for me with the collar, functioning buttons, and color. It is not lined, however, so it's a bit sheer. I rented while traveling and didn't have slip. Wore anyway with tights and kept my legs together while standing so it would be less noticeable.

Sister of the bride perfection
I wore this to my only sibling’s church wedding. I wanted to look elegant, conservative, sisterly, all-time. This dress checked all the boxes. It’s a serious pieve - the fabric has heft, the cape means business. My only gripe is the skirt kept twisting around on me. I didn’t really care though because I felt my best in this on a really important day. Sizing is on the mark.

Darling but size up a little
I love the concept of this dress, but as a 0/2, I say opt for your bigger size. The bodice is snug, and hard to zip without help; there are pockets on the skirt which will open on the sides if there’s not enough room for your hips. Still, this is eye catching with the sleeves and embroidery and wrap look. The belt ties it together but is a bit long. I wish I owned it in a 2.

RTR winner! But don’t size up!
This is almost (okay, probably is) too pretty for work if you aren’t a first lady. The neckline is structural and chic, the material is thick and luxe, and the tailoring does its job. I sized up because I worried about tightness for work, but it wasn’t necessary. I am usually a 0/2, and the 2 is too big but I’m going to wear it anyway. The 0 would probably be perfect (if not still a smidge roomy, maybe). More of this, RTR!

CHANGE THE PHOTOS!
I echo every other reviewer: put it on to go to work and LAUGHED. Took it right off. Wondered if it was somehow a flaw. Came here. I teach at a junior high; the slit would have been beyond inappropriate. More like contributing to the delinquency of minors or something. I am still keeping in hopes of wearing it with my boyfriend this weekend but even still... it’s flashy. When will I learn to read the reviews instead just looking at photos?!

Runs small
Another work dress that I sized up on but runs small. I never wear a 4 - never. I am usually a 0 and ordered this in a 2 to be sure that it wouldn’t be too tight for work. The 2 hugs my rear and my stomach and I don’t feel my best work self that way. To boot, the shoulders/arms/sleeves are tight and restrictive. I wish it was a little stretchier up top and an inch looser around the hips.

exactly what RTR is good at
Selected as an unlimited rental (last minute, new arrival!) when I traveled to NYC for a formal wedding. I just wanted something for the occasion that suited me but I wasn't feeling particular. This was perfect for a formal September wedding: the kind of dress that I only needed once and wouldn't be any to have purchased at full price or keep forever. I received lots of compliments but overhead some other chick being told she had the best dress. Not surprised, but I was still pleased in my choice that day (normally I need to have the best dress). Runs snug and short - with the side zipper placement I could not have gotten it up without help.

Skin tight, unfortunately
I am normally an XS, but ordered an S to be sure that this could be worn at my conservative workplace. (Mormon Utah school system.) It was still skin tight. I mean, I look good, it looks good. It’s a great work silhouette, but it’s too bad that it’s so form fitting that it’s not really work appropriate. I am going to wear a skirt over the bottom half and hope no one complains about the top.

Runs small and sheer
Ordered for a work conference, but could not wear mainly because the panel in front is sheer, and you could see too much bra and cleavage. Not sure if I would wear it not for after work because I would prefer not see the bra at all. I almost always order the smallest size, but it looked like I was trying to fit into my kid sister's dress with the ruffle - it was tight from upper arm to upper arm.

As cute as everyone says
Pefect dress to wear all day and feel put together. Sure it’s polyester but it doesn’t wrinkle. Great length for work. My ONLY complaint: why can’t dresses with buttons over the boobs simply put hooks between buttons like Byron Lars? I would have thought Reese Witherspoon would be with this. A 0 fit me perfectly, but I would need maybe a 4 or 6 to find a bodice that didn’t gap right over my cleavage. I had to use a safety pin.

Not it
This dress gets 1 star because 0 stars is not possible, and then one star for the print. Everything else was a no. Sleeves were too dramatic; I didn’t want a conversation starter. Yeah, no button at waist - but the tie does pull it together (that didn’t bother me greatly, but still). It gaps at the chest, so I think you need a long torso. I have enough boobs and it didn’t fill out an XS. It’s weird. And then the skirt was just a little too flared and short. I never don’t wear an RTR Unlimited item, but this went directly back to UPS the same day.

All about the back
This is worth it for the BACK. I got a zillion compliments. The lace has a pretty shimmer to it, too. Yes you’ll be worried about side boob; no, tape didn’t help much, but stand up tall and hold your arms down. If you have a long torso or are tall, maybe size down and this will be perfect on you. I don’t think you have to be big up top, just long to stretch the dress out and hold it in place. Would be a great dress to buy and have altered for you. BTW it arrives rather wrinkly (more than normal) and it’s tedious to iron.

Not a warm red: it's a cool purple
Loved the fit (everyone said perfect) and details of this dress. Felt and looked rich. However, I needed it for a party where red was the theme. This looks deep red in the RTR photos, but is actual on the purple spectrum. Doesn't look red at all. FYI!

Not for curves
Beautiful but far too snug around my upper thighs and bum. Too bad because I love the loose, blousey top half and the draping. If I went up a size, however, I would be swimming in blue up there. I always thought of myself as petite with mild curvature, but given that a lot of reviews state loose all over, maybe I'm curvier than I think! Even though I'm not going to wear it, I do see how this dress would wrinkle and easily show water marks. Despite the unique neck, I don't think I'd wear it to a sit-down dinner. Pros and cons, ladies!

Runs small.
I have rented and worn Cynthia Rowley many times, and I was always a size 0. This dress, however, runs small in the rib cage. I would have been able to wear the 0 at the waist and neck, but couldn't get it around my ribs/maybe bust (I'm just a 32 B/C). Size up to be sure if you a little endowed up top!

Versatile, not statements
If you looking for an earring that isn't a statement piece and won't overwhelm you or a dress or an occasion, these are perfect! I would love to own them and/or rent the other colors because it's hard to imagine an outfit of any level of dressiness that these would not compliment. Plus, they're LIGHT! I was inspired to wear them with Shosanna's Magnolia Gardens Dress because I felt the brush-stroked flowers in the print were echoed by the shape of these stones. Love!

Summer White!
I chose this sight unseen because I had a summer benefit to attend right after a wedding and I didn't have much time to think about it, but I guess the wedding inspired ME to want to wear white. This dress blew me away! Unfortunately there is no full body shot and this picture doesn't do the fabric justice. The material is just a beautiful, thick, textured floral print that swings and swings from the waist down. I was surprised by cool metallic threads, so I ended up wearing navy satin pumps and chose Kate Spade earrings with navy (and gold) and pink and clear(?) gems right off the showroom floor. This dress is versatile, classic, and a keeper (if it wasn't rented).

Multifunctional Style
Loved it, wish I had this baby sitting around in my closet. It's one of the few that would pay for itself with its subtlety and versatility. Easily goes day to night, work to cocktails, which is exactly what I needed it for. Actually wore it twice during my rental, once for an after-work cocktail where I wanted to impress, then to a job interview, followed by a museum outing. It runs slightly large, and I liked it better with a slim, black J.Crew belt around the waist. Longer on me than the model, which was a plus for my events. Compliments abounded, despite it being just a nice grey dress! Shows you can't go wrong with something like this. If I were a buyer, I wouldn't necessarily pick the dress for RTR, but I'm glad that their buyers knew better than me!

St. Tropez Chic Defined
I wore this to a St. Tropez themed party, and I couldn't have been more pleased with how perfectly it suited the occasion, and how good the dress looked on me! Fit: I have a booty, but this dress didn't squeeze it the way some reviewers noted, so I was pleasantly surprised. Instead, the chiffon layers around the bottom flowed and I didn't have to worry about it being the least bit vulgar by being too tight. In fact, the length and fit were perfectly conservative but sassy (and classy). It was not cut too low. I guess the only minor difficulty is getting the whole thing over your head and boobs because there is no side zipper. Everything else: for being an older dress on the site, it was in great condition. The detail on the front was very nice. I really wish this just sat in my closet so I could put it on whenever I needed to feel like a beach goddess.

St. Tropez Perfection
After reading the reviews, I expected these to run big, but they weren't as huge as I expected, and they worked PERFECTLY! I also expected them to drag my earlobes to the ground, and they didn't do that either. Loved, loved - and I never wear clip-ons or hoops. I wore them to a St. Tropez-themed party with the mango Trina Turk caftan-like dress (RTR). The orangey-turquoise combo hit exactly the right note I was looking for. Wish so badly that I had a picture!

Great statement earring
Rented these for my 30th birthday party at Brooklyn's new shuffleboard night club. I wanted to add a more Palm Beach vibe to my simple party dress, and these earrings + their bargain price ($10) called my name. I have RTR Pro, so it was an easy decision! They are big, but not too heavy. Pink and green and gold and Oscar and just a bit of gaudy Grandma costume jewelry flair. I think they even made my friends happy! While it's too bad I didn't get any pictures that really emphasize them, this rental is confirming my hunch that subscribing to the Pro membership and renting on a whim is a fantastic idea! (P.S. New Yorkers - they even came a day early?)

SO MUCH FUN
I am sorry for all of you who lacked the foresight to rent this gem for New Year's Eve, and which I was able to pick up at the last minute on 12/30 from the Henri Bendel showroom. It is big, yes. It is gaudy, so what. BUT it is the best accessory to start the new year, complete with a bunch of mini Times Square Ball replicas. I am wearing it all day every day until I take it to UPS. Mwah!

Understated, elegant
I rented this for a winter charity benefit in NYC. I went for a more expensive rental with not so many reviews because I wanted to be sure no one else would should up in the same thing! Although I worried a bit about the cost and the unknown, I think it was worth it in the end. No one had my dress, and it truly was perfect for the occasion. Typically I wear the smallest size available in almost everything, and the 38 fit great on top but was snug in the hips for me. The 40 was more comfortable in the hips but too big all over. I am 5'2", but the sleeves on the 38 hit the sweet spot on my wrist, and while the dress is longer on me than the model, it was still hit above the knees. I got a lot of compliments and looks all night, probably due to the eye-catching waistband and opening in the back. Despite the snugness I felt, I think it appeared to fit like a glove. I wore this with sheer black hose and metallic accessories: my own 4" gunmetal t-strap Badgley Mishka pumps ("Plia II"), the RTR Kate Spade "crystal petals"necklace for some sparkle up top, the RTR DVR "black lytton embossed lizard" clutch, and my own fun mixed material studs. The only problem is I don't yet have any photos!
