I attended an evening gala fundraiser and it worked perfectly. Not too casual and not too dressy.
It was a tight fit. So if you want breathing room you'll need a medium.

Great quality and comfortable.
It was a bit tight in the shoulders, but otherwise it fit very well. One of the sleeves cuffs was irritating due to it curling up. Otherwise I felt great in this jacket.
