I’m a 5’ 7-1/2” hourglass, 36B, and I vary between 4/6 on top and 6/8 on bottom. Normally I wear a Small in Dress the Population — however, I’d size up for this one! This fit well through the torso, but was tight on the hips and bust (surprisingly). Medium works well with a little room to breathe…so, not the most flattering fit, but it’s so pretty that I may keep & wear it for an upcoming dinner. Bonus that it can either be strapless or keep the straps on!

I rented another Likely dress and adored it -- so I know to size up, but as a fairly fit Small top / Medium bottom, I usually would have been fine wth a Medium. Not so in this one. Either get some really good shape wear (which may still show through), or size up. Top cut could / should be flattering for athletic body types! Just a little too tight for me (I'm usually a 6, sometimes size down to a 4 or up to an 8). I would try the L in this one if attempting again.

Sized up due to a couple of the reviews, and decided to try this as I thought it looked like a chic classic look for work… I’m 5’8” hourglass fairly athletic figure and usually a size 6, but rented the 8, and it was still WAY too short… I thankfully did a quick sit test before heading out the door, and was mortified to realize my booty would have been showing when sitting down for the client meeting I was running out the door for. Unfortunately, sizing up did not help at all in the length, and it rendered the top way too big and unflattering, so this was not even good for an alternate setting/use. Sadly, another wasted RTR rental. Skip this unless you’re really good with the micro mini / super short look!

Immediately putting this on had the impression of a different level of quality than many other dresses these days. Lined, great construction, and a hook with thread helps the top be work appropriate (note: it’s not a snap — the thread is subtle, so you have to look for it. :)) Comes in at the waist and hugs your hips/figure slightly while the style remains flattering. A good dress I’d reach for on warm days for client meetings. May throw a blazer on over it or just go as-is. Not a date night style in my opinion, but a solid option that’s very well made! Husband commented he liked it.

I followed the advice of others and sized down to a 27 (normally 29), but still found the waist large and unflattering. Perhaps not best for hourglass figures. Felt confident I could count on this piece to be a great classic grab & go for work...threw it on & ran out the door to a client installation but quickly realized that while it was acceptable standing, it was close to inappropriate for any action / movement. I was self-conscious all day but at least the thickness of the fabric and coverage up top helped counterbalance the length. Overall still felt like a nice, pulled together look when standing. The top lapels are pretty wide, and might be a little more flattering if they were slightly slimmer, but my biggest concern was length. I *might* rent again, but would probably only wear on a day I'm standing / walking. (Not on stairs, bending/kneeling down, etc. -- and it's still short if sitting.) Word to the wise -- try on ahead of time to determine what you'll wear this to -- esp if you tend to run late like I do!!!

I own an almost identical Navy & White Sail to Sable dress and thought it would be great to rent another colorway as a go-to item that works well for day and transitions easily to evening.
