This dress was cuter on than on the hanger. Initially I was like woah... it looks like grandmas Christmas ornaments. I'm usually a 4 and I went with the 2 which was a perfect fit except everywhere but the shoulders (expected I have broad muscular arms). I felt the dress aged me a bit given the design and conservative cut. I would save this for a family gathering or party instead of a holiday party in the city. Waist is itchy, beware! Not the most comfortable dress since the fabric is very heavily embroidered and thick. Pros: No wrinkles, unique stand-out design, conservative but short enough to not age you too much.

Fit like a glove. Double capped sleeves were unique in the best way-- and didn't overly accentuate my already broad shoulders. My first thought upon opening my rtr box was yes!!... It's short! Even on my 5'7 height. Also, I must note the structured fabric was supportive but not to the point that I was overheating. At a California wedding, my main concern was getting too hot and the "reptilian" look of this piece. It was subtly reptilian just as I'd hoped. A very beautiful, perfect dress for a wedding in Cali. And the pockets!

I have an athletic build especially my upper body - the dress was fitted in the arms/shoulders but then too tight when I lift my arms up to dance.I ordered a size up for this reason just in case-- but it wasn't a big issue I just couldn't get wild on the dance floor ;) If I were any bulkier up top I wouldn't have chosen this gown as it draws all attention to your chest and arms. I loved everything about this dress!!! A few things to consider... If you are in between a R and L then get long. I'm almost 5'7 and really should have gotten the 4L. Lastly, watch your jewels as everything catches on this dress! I opted not to wear the belt also, a belt on this kind of dress is unnecessary when it's already so beautiful! I don't think you can go wrong with this dress!
