This was actually my third size. The 6 and the 8 (two normal sizes for me) were both too small on the rib cage. Unfortunately the 10 wasn't available, and the 12 was too large. I would have loved to know what the 10 would have looked like, but on my build with narrower hips, I ultimately decided that the shape of the neck line with the faux cap sleeve look just wasn't flattering to me. It's a beautiful color and I wanted it to work, but it just didn't fit right.

Loved this dress. Runs true to size. Great for curvy women. 

Stunning evening gown for a formal wedding!  It was perfect.

I didn’t wear this dress to the event, because I found another dress. But this dress was beautiful and well made. Fit was great.

The regular length option was ill-fitting throughout (I suspect the lace overlay shrunk during cleaning?) and hit mid-shin in length, but RTR sent an emergency back up in the long, which fit perfectly! I am 5’5, and typically do not order long options, but with a small heel, this dress was the perfect look for a sapphire ball! 

Wore to a wedding.  LOVED it!!!  Hugged all my curves in just the right places and I didn't need a bra.

I absolutely loved this dress. From the fit to the color, it was perfect for our formal event. The dress is fitted but has some stretch so it's very comfortable to wear. There is a built in bra for support. The hem of the slip was longer than the lace overlay but nothing that a few safety pins couldn't fix. One of my favorite dresses of all time!

Dress is beautiful and I wanted to love it. When I tried it on, I noticed there was a problem with the hem, so I requested the same dress in the same size and one size down to see if it fit better. When the dresses came, they both had same issue. As you can see, the underlay of the dress is much longer than the lace. This was 18 wl and both 20wl. I don't know if this is how they accommodate long dresses by making the insert longer, but it's very noticeable, and not the way the photos look. 

I wore this dress after replacements were sent bc my 1st choice was MIA. RTR was accommodating despite this frustrating situation. RTR made sure I received backups 4 my event & the stylist I spoke to helped me find something else and she was fabulous. 

The dress- I'm not usually a fan of the lace top style, but I loved this dress when I tried it on. I'm thin and this accentuated my waist and curves- it is a little snug, but that's how I think it's meant to be worn. I felt elegant wearing it. 

I got many compliments at the black tie wedding I wore this to. The original dress I had planned to wear wasn't available and they sent me a different one which didn't match my shoes or fit as well as I wanted, so I called customer service and they were able to ship this one to me overnight. I'm glad my original dress wasn't available because I liked this one even better! I felt like a queen. The only semi-bad thing I noticed about it was that the lace underlay wasn't quite as long as the satin material underneath, especially in the back but it wasn't very noticeable. I wore it with 4 inch heels and it was perfect for my height and it was a lovely fit. The shoulders weren't tight at all on me. Plus I did end up wearing the other dress I was sent to late-night drinks after the wedding so it wasn't wasted! All in all, another fantastic experience with RTR!

The dress was fantastic and I loved the back of the dress because I have an upper back tattoo. My only problem with this dress was that the shoulders were so tight it made sitting down hard. I mean I could sit down as long as I was sitting straight up which was fine for the first 2 hours then got a little restrictive. This could be just a "me problem" because I'm a CrossFit power lifter and have a broad shoulders. The dress is also incredibly short! I could only wear kitten heels with the long! 

This dress is gorgeous. It fit perfectly and I would recommend for anyone with a slim build. The dress is very straight.  It was comfortable for the evening. 

Rented this for a gala and was very pleased. The fit was just right and comfortable. It was a bit long only because my shoes were flats. The material is great and there is stretch to the fabric. I had no difficulty moving and dancing in it even without a slit. It is shaped to turn this pear a bit more into an hourglass.  One issue that may have been part of the design is that the lining in the front was about two inches longer than the lace. The back was even.  Great dress!p

Fit a little small in the chest but I loved the built in bodice because it helped flatten my stomach 

This dress was actually a backup after my first shipment did not fit. It arrived just in the nick of time, and fit like a GLOVE! It shimmers in an understated way and really just has timeless appeal

This was my first time using RTR and I was absolutely amazed! The dress was so beautiful and fit perfectly! 

Beautiful dress.  Fits true to size - wore to a black tie event.  

Wore this dress to a black tie event and it was perfect. So many compliments. The lace top is  sexy without being over exposed; tight fitting through the waist and then flowing  skirt. The top has lots of structure - maybe wear it without a bra, but for me it looked better with a strapless bra. I am 5'10.  I ordered a long. Was able to wear heels and it was still long. The back hem is longer than the front - I did step on it a couple of times. Highly recommend this dress for an elegant evening. 

This dress is gorgeous but not exactly the most comfortable to wear. There is a built in corset which kept digging into me. I wore my own bra underneath which may have caused that. The dress is extremely form fitting, mermaid style, and tight above the knees. I normally wear a size 4, but went with the 6 in this dress. It is a stunning color & a standout from the normal black dresses at a gala! 

The fit was similar between the 4R and 6P. But I'm short, so the length on the 6P was perfect. The built in bra was a great feature. My only complaint was that there was no slit in the skirt so it did restrict your movement somewhat. We weren't somewhere that we were dancing, so it wasn't a problem. Very comfortable to wear all night. Lots of compliments!

I rented this gown for a friend's black tie wedding and absolutely loved it! There is a built-in bra that makes the top of the dress super flattering and helps support the sexy low "v" back. The silhouette of the bottom half of the dress was gorgeous and made for some great photos. The color is great for any season and has a bit of sparkle throughout the lace. The fabric was actually very breathable despite how well-made the dress is, which was perfect for this 100F+ wedding! I'm on the shorter side so the regular length (versus the long option) was perfect for me. Highly recommend this rental!

The fit was almost perfect except for the shoulders and length. Over all it was a gorgeous dress! I received a lot of comments even from my husband who said I looked beautiful.  I was afraid to dance in the dress because of the length... got caught in my shoe accents.  Will maybe try a smaller size in a different color next time.

I usually wear a 6 and it did fit but the 8 looked great and had extra room to dance in. The material is a little less luxurious looking at first glance but, once on, the shimmer shows through the lace and it really is quite beautiful. I got tons of compliments. If you carry your weight in your hips, size up.  But that said, it is very very comfortable and very pretty. 

The top was soooo flattering I could not get over it! Didn't even need to wear a bra! Only downside was that there was no petite option available at the time so the dress ended up being a tad too long even when I wore 4" heels. 

This started as my backup, but put it on and loved it! The fit was perfect, no pulling or adjusting all night. I was a little concerned about the straps slipping, so I used a little fashion tape just to be sure they stayed in place. I felt elegant and received many compliments. I would rent this dress again.

My original two dresses in this style had issues with the satin hanging below the lace in front, indicating that perhaps the dresses had been cleaned one too many times. Fortunately RtR overnighted me another, then I could I truly appreciate how beautiful this dress is. Perfect color, bit of glitz, glamorous without being over the top.
It runs small, particularly up top. I usually wear a 4L, the 6L was ok, 8L most comfortable. If you have assets you will definitely need to size up.

Another person at my event was actually wearing the same dress from RTR, we took a photo together and laughed about how we both had excellent taste in fashion. I was still happy I chose to wear this dress.

This dress was so comfortable and elegant. I honestly have no complaints! The fit was great, I am busty (36C) and did not require a bra since there was plenty of support built in. The waist fit well and was slimming. The small train was just perfect as it wasn't overkill but added a more formal touch. I ordered a 10R for backup but it was a smidge too tight. I highly recommend this dress! 

The dress was beautiful! It definitely shows all your curves and is flattering. The only small issue I had was getting it zipped but once I got it zipped all was okay. You have to be sure to fasten the built in bra to be able to get it zipped. Initially I couldn't zip it but once the strap inside the dress was fastened I was able to zip it (some back cleavage had to be smoothed a little lol!!) I got compliments on the dress and I felt beautiful!! Will rent again from RTR.

This dress was perfect. I read in the reviews it ran a bit small and short so I opted for the 8 long. I normally wear a 6 and while I'm only 5'3 I knew I wanted to wear heals so I went with the 8 L. I think the 6 L would have been perfect. The fabric is high quality so it still was form fitting. You really don't need much with dress, the neckline needs no necklace, it's just the perfect amount of sparkle, even the bra on the inside is perfect. I'm smaller chested and the dress was a smidge big so I opted to wear one anyway just to try to fill out the top some more which ended up being a perfect solution. I received so many compliments. I felt so glamorous in this gown. I would absolutely rent it again!!!  It's worth noting that my "problem areas" are my lower belly and my thighs. I often can't wear dresses because when they are tight or even form fitting they usually pull in the thighs but then the fabric is baggy on top. Not in this dress at all. This dress was slimming in all the right places. A great dress for curvy ladies to feel absolutely sexy. THANK YOU RENT THE RUNWAY! 

I rented this dress in a size 8L and ordered the 10R as my backup size. I actually ended up going with my backup size for two reasons! The first was because, despite being 5'8" and wearing heels, I felt that the Long was TOO long. I felt like I was going to step on the train all night long, and actually did a few times in the Regular length. The second reason was because my 36B/C bust and wider ribcage ended up being too squished in the 8. While I liked the waistline in the 8 better, the AMAZING built in bustier in the 10 fit me much better and was much more flattering. 

This dress is figure flattering and modest at the same time. Overall, I highly recommend it for a "black tie" event when you want to wear a subtle pop of color!

Another great rent from RTR! I have a pear shaped body and the 14R still fit great! I got the 14WR as a back up in case but didn't need it. It fit perfectly well and the zipper was easy to zip up as it is in the back and not the side. Many compliments throughout the night and it was just an overall stunning gown! I absolutely recommend it! 

This dress was originally selected to be a back up for my back up and I fell in love with it. I had to go up a size from what I normally wear only because my regular size wasn't available. It was a little loose but that only made it better for dancing the night away. I truly wished I didn't have to return it!

I ordered this dress for a Formal Ball, it looked wonderful, I felt beautiful in it - but it did run really small. I usually order a size 4L with a 6L as a back up...I received a regular 4 and regular 6, and had to go with the 6, which was still a little snug. I am a trade and true 4, I was shocked I had to size up. I received many compliments. the structure was great. The color was beautiful, just be sure to size up.
