I love this dress. I rented it for a formal affair that starts at 6 and typically ends for us and friends around 2:30 am. It's comfortably stretchy and snug and was easy to wear all night long. I'm 5'5" and wore a 3" heel. The regular length was right at the floor. I especially love that there is no closure-it just pulls on. I've had a few rough moments with zippers in various RTR rentals and enjoyed not having to worry about that with this dress. I wore it off the shoulder but you can also wear it on the shoulder. It provides a lot of coverage -the sexy comes from the fit. The construction isnot really visible in the photo--it's cut and constructed in a way to flatter the figure. I wore a stick on bra and skipped everything else to avoid any lines. You might be able to do a spanx and accessorize with a belt to hide the edge. This dress doesn't hide much. I weigh about 140 lbs, am a scant 36B and wore the 42R. The backup 44R buckled and wrinkled around the waist.

I wore this dress to an art gala for a professional organization. I had work in the exhibit and wanted something that would be distinctive for the event. I'm 5'5", 140 lbs, and an 8 with a broad/swimmer's chest - if I have a fit problem with an RTR rental, it's usually the rib area even if it fits at the waist. This dress has a lot of stretch, a back zipper close (that did work with just a bit of muscle from my husband, per almost every RTR rental I've ever had) and is heavy. The event was in a heavily air-conditioned building so it was perfect. The sheer bands add a lot of excitement - it's sort of daring without showing too much. I wore a stick on silicone bra and thin shaper briefs. The top of the shaper hit right at the lower waist band so it was perfect. It was obviously longer on me than on the model but I still felt glamorous in it - the 'sexy Morticia' look was perfect for the event and it absolutely was not like anything else I saw. I left the neckline clear and wore edgy modern earrings and wide cuff bracelet, plain black strappy sandals. To me, this dress really didn't need much accessorizing since it's got such a strong presence. I'd rent it again.

My original rental had a defective zipper and had to be returned. I had to quickly find something else to be delivered the day of the event, which turned out to be this dress. I had originally ordered it in the regular length but after really reading the reviews, I called Customer Service back and they were able to switch my 44R to a 44L with a 46L as the backup size. I am 5'5", 141 lbs, 36 A with a deep rib cage so I often have trouble with dresses not fitting me above the waist. I usually take an 8 in bottoms and a 10 in tops. Anyway, the fact that this dress doesn't even have a closure was encouraging to me - that and the fact that it looks amazing on just about everyone in the reviews. It came at 1 pm the day of the event and it was love at first try-on! It went on without much fuss. I went with the 44R which was pleasantly snug but not very tight. I did need to use hem tape at the front-I taped it up to the side seams and tapered the hem so it blended with the dress' short train. I wore about 3.5" heels. My thought is I'd rather spend 15 minutes with hem tape rather than fret about it being too short, so I'm glad I got the L. The fabric is thick and heavy so probably not the best bet if you're not in a cool or air conditioned climate. The deep gore set in at the back is so much fun and the short train adds some glamour. This dress hits the perfect balance between bombshell and elegance. I got compliments all night long, including several from men who were a little surprised, as I usually have a less sexy presentation. I wore it with a gold-toned/crystal statement necklace from baublebar.com and beige heels/bag. It was also the most comfortable dress I've worn in a long time- I didn't have to think about it at all. I love this dress so much I'd consider buying it and will definitely rent it again.

There were no cons to this dress. The color is a beautiful warm red. The fabric has lots of body and some stretch so the fit was perfect-including the length. I have a barrel chest and a relatively small cup size-I'm a 36B and am slightly short waisted so I have to be very careful about the cuts I choose from RTR. This dress was really wonderful. I loved the back and got multiple compliments on that alone. I had never worn a high/low dress before but for this event (an art-themed gala) it was perfect. I wore it with two tone beige t strap 3.5"heels embellished with large gold snaps and two pieces of gold-tone RTR jewelry that were perfect. One of my favorite rentals ever.

I wore the 8R and the fit was literally perfect. I have a wide ribcage and a small bust (36A-having trouble correcting my profile, 36A is the correct size) and if I have a problem with fit, it's almost always the chest, so the fit of this gown was a huge relief. The color is rich but not so much that it wasn't seasonal. As with many of the well-constructed gowns from RTR, getting the zipper past the bodice/skirt seam required help but wasn't a big deal. The shape of the gown meant no Spanx required and I was able to get away with stick-on breast shapers, which is good because the back is cut deeply with net side panels that add a nice bit of edge to an otherwise very straightforward and romantic cut. The fabric has a lot of body but has some nice movement and the fullness of the skirt made it feel very special to wear--very much a ballgown. There's a small train which adds a touch of drama. The one detail that was the envy of every woman who admired the gown for its looks are the two deep pockets. I loved the pockets-I was able to carry a keycard, lipstick, reading glasses and my phone with no problem-no bulges or sagging. I was comfortable and felt beautiful all night. It's dramatic and elegant-- I'd rent it again.

The color is really beautiful-very rich. The fit was excellent and comfortable. I am just barely a 34 B with a barrel chest and the one time I had an RTR rental fail to fit, that was why, so I was really pleased with the fit of this dress. The length was also perfect-just about an inch or so above the knee. I'm 5'5". I was able to zip it up myself and really loved the back detailing as well as the detail around the waist of the dress which has a very slimming effect. The overall effect is flirty but elegant, just right for a Saturday night fundraiser at SeaWorld with a Caribbean theme.

Wore this to an after-work awards gala/board meeting for a professional association. Attire was "business/cocktail". I felt that this dress was absolutely perfect. The fabric is very elegant and the color is gorgeous. I am short-waisted and typically have issues with fit through the middle but this fit very well. Loved the pockets, which somehow do not make the skirt bulge. The sleeves, as mentioned in other reviews, do cut a bit but it wasn't a deal breaker, I would consider buying this dress because it's not trendy or boring-feel like you could wear it year after year and it wouldn't lose relevance. As with all the dresses I've rented through RTR, received many compliments.

This is a very comfortable dress-soft lace, good stretch. I'm 5'5" and the height was perfect with 4" heel/1" platform. The 10 was a bit worse for wear-lace edges were somewhat uneven but the overall effect is still good. The tulle at the bottom of the 10 is what my mother would have called 'ashes of roses'-a very subtle grayed pink. Very sophisticated and beautiful; a bit vintage-very soft, drapey fine net tulle. The tulle on the 8 was entirely different-blush pink and much more body; more of a net tulle. Both were lovely; I just preferred the softer tulle on the 10. Received many compliments on the gown and the way the train fell behind was just lovely; very romantic. It looks great with the little ribbon belt; I secured the bow with a 1.5" rhinestone vintage circle pin in the back. Of the gowns I've rented, I'd be most inclined to rent this one again, just for the way wearing it made me feel beautiful.

Very beautiful gown, very comfortable, pulls on over the head with a good amount of stretch. It's a little more gold than it appears in the RTR photo. Moves and hangs beautifully. I wore a moderate heel with a front platform in nude. The back cowl drape is gorgeous-wore it with a strapless/backless bra. The overall feel is of elegant glamour. The simple and fairly modest cut really balances the all out glamour of the sequins. Received many compliments from complete strangers and just hated to send it back.

First, I loved how I looked in this dress. Wow. Someone at the gala was so excited to see this dress--she said that Katy Perry had worn this EXACT dress and it had gotten top reviews from Joan Rivers, et al, on "Fashion Police". I looked it up when I got home and darned if she wasn't right! I felt like I looked like a star in this gown. The fabric is much more beautiful in person, with gradations of deep peacock and teal with a sophisticated black print and black tulle to fluff out the bottom of the skirt. That being said, the fit was problematic. I'm kind of short waisted, but the fit problem wasn't in the waist or hips, it was the bodice. I could not even get the built in bra closed, even with my husband's help. There's a relatively slender, non-stretchy bra strap with two hooks and then, over that, a much wider panel that zips up. I finally had to just zip up the bodice without fastening the bra parts at all. Thank god for the print which hid any suspicious bumps. Getting the skirt up for bathroom visits was difficult. Don't see why this part couldn't have a short area of elastic to ease things along, or up, as the case may be. I wouldn't rent it again because I do like to be a little more comfortable, but it looked amazing.

This gown is an incredibly beautiful shade of Caribbean blue. I had rented this but was contacted 2.5 days ahead of time and notified that one of the sizes had come back too damaged to be worn. However, RTR sent me the remaining size (as well as a replacement gown in 2 sizes). I tried it on and found that the bodice part was way too long/big for me. Luckily, the replacement gown was perfect and I really appreciated the timely notification and the way Emily worked with me to make sure I had a great experience.

I was contacted by Emily 2.5 days before the event.My original rental was returned by the previous customer too badly damaged to go out again. This gown was in my "love" folder and I had worn "Night in Barcelona) by this same designer in a very similar style last year, so I expected that it would look good and fit. Emily sent me my second choice in my two sizes (10R, 8R) for no additional fee, PLUS my original choice. When the gowns arrived, my original choice was much too long in the torso for me and the backup 8R perfectly. I didn't have to wear any foundation garments and the length (floor-skimming) allowed me to wear dressy flat sandals. I was completely comfortable and received multiple compliments on the gown all evening...as usual when I wear a RTR gown! This was rental #4; #5 is in a couple of weeks and I'm expecting the usual RTR success!

The fit was terrific! Body skimming, but not tight and soft and stretchy all over. The front follows your shape and the racerback detail hangs away from your waist so your figure is not obscured. I had ordered the 10 as a backup but didn't even try it on. Wore it with a slip-style shaper up to the waist and the backless/strapless bra, as recommended. It was reviewed as being on the short side, and it was--but I was able to wear embellished black flat sandals, which just added to the comfortable fit. The neckline is simple, but not boring-it complements the edgy back details rather than competing. It hangs pretty low in the front, so I wore a statement necklace with a low-hanging crystal. I did use the complimentary fashion tape to fasten the neckline to the bra for insurance. It was absolutely unique at a gala with some 2200 people in attendance. I felt glamorous and edgy at the same time. The second photo is of my 3 co workers-who all wore RTR gowns. As you can see-four big smiles!

I chose the 'get a second gown for $25' option and ended up wearing that gown (Night in Barcelona) for my primary event in a two-event weekend. I saved this one for the Sunday night event because there was much less activity (no dancing, for example). It was really large-I ordered an 8 and a 10 and the 8 was a little too big-I could have done with a 6. It was definitely quite long and even with ridiculously high platforms (borrowed from my older teenager) I had to kick the hem out a bit when I walked. The boning in the bodice is, as reviewed by others, awkward. The color is gorgeous and the slight train in the back very glamorous. I did get some compliments but overall, was much more pleased with my 'backup' choice.

Unfortunately, no photos yet, but I rented two gowns and this one was actually my second choice for $25 gown. The fit was perfect, including the length. It was unique at the event, which is what I wanted. It was also comfortable. I received quite a few compliments on it and felt terrific. I mostly wear size 8, but depending on the manufacturer, it's sometimes a 10. I also recently lost 16 lbs so I feel like I am in between sizes.
