Did not wear. too long even w heels
Absolutely loved this dress but it was too long in the regular length and also a little too big even in my smaller backup size. Only weird thing about the style/cut is that the material above the waist is bloused a little which isn't the most flattering if your waist is your slimmest feature. Super high quality material and beautiful dress. Wish I could've worn it!

Tight on top even for narrow waisted
I liked this a lot. I didn't keep it/wear it because it was a little too much for the baby shower I had it in mind for. It's super short but the fabric piece on the side makes it pretty formal. The fabric is thick and the top is tight even for a pear shape who is narrow waisted and shoulders, but it still zipped and was flattering. For the right occasion, I would rent it again.

Too large around back and not enough support
I loved this dress but the top was too long and too wide for me. If I held it up, it looked gorgeous overall, but as it fit, it didn't work. This was already a size down, but I might try it one more size down in the future.

Gorgeous, Flattering, Comfy
I got manyyyy unsolicited compliments on this dress at a very high end restaurant from a very well-dressed crowd. It fit my pear shape like an absolute dream, the material was silky and light, but heavy enough so that it was not clingy. As many other reviewers say, the top is large, so I did size down and even then, I pulled the straps together in the back to make a racer back to take up some of the length. I'm a 32DDD, so I didn't have a problem with the top other than the strap length - which was an easy fix. Truly loved this dress.

While the A line cut is typically great for my accentuated pear shape, this dress fit terribly. As others mentioned, the skirt is super short. The top was incredibly unflattering. On my narrow shoulders it was loose and baggy in a very not chic way, and then the neckline pulled like crazy over my chest and didn’t lay right along the seams. Not bc it was full-on pulling, it was just not laying in the right places.

Not a properly constructed wrap dress
I read other reviews that said they couldn't find the slit to pull the waist string through. I thought those people were silly. But it doesn't exist. I had to pull the string through the side under my arm. Kind of ridiculous. Additionally, this is constructed for girls with tiny chests. The snap in front was not having it and simply was not going to stay together over my DDDs. Also - the dress showed up with tons of creases, so I don't think it's a great dress for packing/travel

Awkward fit and unflattering
Thought this dress would be cute and trendy but it was super unflattering. The large was a bit big in the waist and top, was full in the hips in a balloon-y way and it just didn't have a flattering shape for a pear shaped body. Did not wear.

Unique, flattering, and special
Rented this for a fancy bday dinner. Loved the fit. Did not wear a bra - felt a teeny bit exposed (on top, not in the peekaboo cutout) when sitting, as the straps were not quite as taut when sitting, but it was supportive when standing. I received tons of compliments and felt awesome in it.

These started just a little too loose around my waist and became comically loose. Comfortable but not that stylish looking. I have super wide hips and currently wear a 10 or 12 depending upon shape and tailoring and I would have taken the medium in these.

This dress fit, but i did not wear it bc i rented for a rehearsal dinner which we then found out would be bowling. This dress is great, but not the MOST flattering for a pear shape as it hides the waist and chest and sort of removes the curves and gives a more straight up and down appearance

No give. Despite shape, not good for pear.
Love this gorgeous dress but could not wear it. If you are very pear shaped, you will likely run into issues. The neckline was gaping and standing away from my chest in bubbles on the side and the waist and hips were unflatteringly fitted. I typically do very well with high halter or racerback necklines and full skirts, and wear badgley mischka more successfully than most other RTR designers, but this style just didnt work for me.

I tried to size down for this dress but the top was just cut too broad for me. I am a 32DDD, so no problem filling out the chest, but simply wasn't broad enough to fill out the top from side to side, even in the small. Such a shame Bc I loved the dress otherwise! :(

I didn't end up wearing this but only because I ordered it as a backup and preferred my primary dress. It fits great (I am pear shaped size 8 32DDD), and is such an elevated look. Looks better on than it does in the pics.

Rented this as a replacement when my original dress came creased and not looking that great. Wore it for a fancy dinner out for my boyfriend's birthday. Absolutely loved it!! I am very pear-shaped and normally an 8 so was nervous that even with the wide skirt, the 6 would be too tight in the hips but it fit great! Super comfy, super stylish. If you have narrow shoulders, you'll probably have to keep pulling the sleeves down to keep the off the shoulder look happening. The material does crease while sitting but it didn't make it look awful. Can definitely be dressed up w heels and jewelry or down w sneakers/sandals etc. will rent again for sure.

Formal sexy and sweet
I rented this as a backup, and loved the fit but it was too formal for what I wanted it for. I am a very pear-shaped size 8, so the 6 worked well with the big skirt and narrow top. I also had a different similar cut Badgley Mischka in a size 8 and it was waaaay too big so if you're narrow on top (even with large chest - I'm a 32 DDD), size down 1-2 sizes. But beautiful material and beautiful cut. Definitely planning to rent again in the future for weddings!

Wore this for my boyfriend's formal office holiday party. Absolutely loved it. Color is stunning, material and fit are very comfortable. I am pear shaped and a little wary of dresses that are form fitting through the hips but I loved the shape and got compliments all night. 32DDD and chest fit comfortably. Great flattering cut.

Perfect NYE sparkly dress!
Ordered this for NYE 2013. Since i'm very pear-shaped, the fit wasn't perfect (little snug @ hips, little loose in waist/bust) but it was still a dazzler! Also - material was comfortable and non-itchy for a full-sequined dress! breathable too. Really made the night! To be honest, I don't remember which size I wore, but I ordered a M and L and normally wear an 8 or 10. Assuming I wore the larger one since it's so fitted.

OK, so I LOVED this dress. I ordered it as a backup for my bday picnic and loved it so much that I ended up wearing it the night before for a pre-bday dinner/night out. However, here's some fair warning: For those who can't go braless, this dress has cut-outs in the back in the area where your bra would sit. Fashion tape is great, but if you're like me, and your strapless needs to offer a bit more support, the band is probably a bit thicker than the strips between the cut-outs. I have an amazing friend who helped me fold the strap of my bra under and tape it. And it wasn't an issue at all for the rest of the night. Thanks for the free bonus fashion tape RTR! It definitely creases when you sit (as you can see in the darker pic) but, absolutely loved the unique pattern, great colors, and flattering silhouette. For sizing help - I wear either an 8 or 10 depending on the cut of the dress - b/c this one is more narrow in the hips, I ordered the 10 and it worked out well. The next day, I wore a more A-line lilly pulitzer in an 8 - so order for your shape!

Picnic perfect!
Loved this dress. It was great for a cheery bright summer bday picnic (and easy to spot when people were trying to find us). The bones in the top were a little uncomfortable while sitting, and by 6:00, i did change into shorts. Also, the bone on one side kept poking out the bottom of the seam and sticking me. But overall, I loved that it flattered my figure. (very pear-shaped w/ 32DDD bust) Definitely got compliments!

Got this dress as a backup, so only got one size (10) which is a shame b/c it just may have been perfect in the 8. It's really beautifully made. Great fabric, good shape, super special pretty detail on the top. The top was simply too wide on me and the back was too long, so it bunched up near the small of my back. Definitely not for short-waisted bodies even though it looks like it has a high waist in the picture.
