Summer lovin'
I've always wanted a Lilly Pulitzer dress and finally had the opportunity to rent one for my recent Florida vacation. This dress is fabulous! If you want to channel the '60s, turn heads and exude a tropical, beach vibe, this is the number. Just be aware: It's SHORT. I rented the 2 because the 4 wasn't available and had to be very, very careful about sitting, bending, etc. The four may have worked better. At any rate: have great legs and be willing to show them!

Va-va-va-VOOM!
I adore Nicole Miller and have rented many of her designs for formal affairs. So when it came time to pick a gown for New Year's Even 2016, there was only one choice: this dress! As always with Nicole, sexy is the operative word. Dress is ruched, especially in derrière, so if you have a great booty, this is the gown for you. There's also a fishtail hemline, but not such that it encumbers walking or dancing. In fact, the ruching on the dress helps with the length -- you can hike it shorter to walk and longer for photos, or to adjust for heel height. My only gripe: This is the lowest cut gown ever! I forgot my stick-on push-up bra so had to go braless. I was on the verge of wardrobe malfunction all evening! I had fashion tape, but one would have to tape the entire neckline, which wasn't feasible. So I made the decision to flaunt it. Thankfully nothing popped out and my husband LOVED it! So, rent this stunner, but get the right underpinnings, have TONS of fashion tape and be confident in showing your assets!

Elegant, not a 70s flashback!
I waited too long to rent a dress for a swanky New Year's Day dinner at a top Philly restaurant. I passed this dress by several times, then rented in desperation. So glad I did! Very elegant, comfortable and warm in winter weather. Slimming, yet plenty of room in waist to mask the post-holiday bloat. And the short/long hemline was stylish, not 70s disco flashback. I wore navy suede pumps and a statement necklace (not in photo) to jazz up neckline. Ended up very Audrey Hepburn. Don't pass this dress by!

Got applause from the Philly Orchestra!
I wore this dress in Philadelphia the weekend the Orchestra went on strike. Although we didn't get to hear their gala opening concert (I rented Nicole Miller for that), my husband and I supported the players. Walking back from dinner the following evening (in this dress), we stopped to talk to the picketing musicians. They applauded my dress! It's an elegant and classy number, but note these two things: It's SHORT (be comfortable with revealing your legs) and it runs VERY small. I normally wear a 2 and barely squeezed into a 4. Also very low cut but still tasteful. I didn't need a bra and it allowed me to show off both jewelry and some cleavage!

Great customer service!
I was upset when the dress I originally ordered came in damaged. RTR sent a dress the THOUGHT would be comparable, but it was WAY off the mark in style, and no time to order anything else shipped to me in Washington. Luckily, the customer service agent told me RTR had a store in Georgetown. I raced by and found this little number -- liked it better than what I'd originally ordered! Very classy, high quality and different dress, with its own "built in" necklace of sorts. My husband loved it and I turned heads! It's a sheath, so is comfortable if you're eating a big dinner!

Stunning for New Year's Eve!
Wore this dress to the Philadelphia Orchestra New Year's concert and received tons of compliments! The dress is truly beautiful, and because it's stretchy, it manages to show all your curves while allowing you to breathe. It also was warm in winter, despite cap sleeves. I just wore a Passim when needed. It has a Spanish flair, with a mermaid-type skirt. Very feminine and flattering. The only hitch: Following review advice, I got the Long. Big mistake. I"m 5'6", wore 3.75" heels, and the dress still trailed by inches. I had to hold it up or walk with this weird kicking step so I didn't trip on hem. Not sure all the complaints about it running short, but unless you're an Amazon, watch the length, your height and your heel height carefully!

Perfect for winter
I rented this dress after admiring it for about a year. Wore it to a swanky dinner on New Year's Eve Eve in Philadelphia (Fork, the finest restaurant in PHL, IMHO). It was perfect for a freezing cold night. I wore with black opaque tights and black heels. Would have worn high boots for a rocking' look, but couldn't find any I liked. The dress is super snug, the blue embroidery is elegant, but the dress did ride up annoyingly when I walked. Sort of bunched up. I probably could have worn the XS, but am very broad shouldered. All in all, a great dress.

Sexy and comfy for winter.
This dress is perfect it you're looking for something feminine, sexy, comfortable and warm. I wore it to the Philadelphia Orchestra in October and it was ideal. Kept me warm in the drafty concert hall, worked great for dinner beforehand (plenty of stretch so you can eat!) and was enticing enough that my husband noticed neither dinner nor music! My photo didn't come out great, but trust me, the rest is fabulous!

Young Liz Taylor - or Scarlett O'Hara!
This is one of the best dresses of all time. I wore it to the opera in Philadelphia and turned every head in the Academy of Music. As I was walking down the grand staircase, a man called out, "Best dress of the night!" It made me feel like a young Liz Taylor from the 1950s, or even Scarlett O'Hara. By that I mean, this is a tight, sexy, hourglass, old-fashioned dress that is all woman. And I do mean tight. Normally a size 2 is comfortable on me. This was so tight I nearly fainted (they didn't have a back-up size). Guess that's why they wore corsets back in the day! It also is extremely low cut, with sleeves that sort of slide off the shoulder. I couldn't wear a bra, but didn't need one, it was so tight. Dress if gorgeous, with muted teal lace over a nude under dress. The back is extremely low, with a sexy, long velvet ribbon that ties at the shoulders -- a great detail. All in all, one of the two best dresses I've ever worn, But order up a size, no matter what you think!

Most beautiful dress of all time!
I picked this dress at the 11th hour for a last-minute elopement. There was little to choose from, and I was leery that this dress would be too bright or glitzy in a bad way. I couldn't have been more wrong: I'm 51 and this is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. It's pure silk, a dusky, subtle, hydrangea blue (not the aqua pictured on the website). The beading is elegant, tasteful and not at all tacky. The 0 fit me perfectly (35-25-33; 115 lbs). I'm 5'6" and wore 3.5" heels. The regular length was just right, although the dress is longer in back, so I had to hold it up walking up stairs, across grass, etc. Also, you'll need a stick-on bra that can't be seen from back or sides, as the back and sides are very plunging, and the thinnish silk, though lined, requires some coverage for modesty. I received SO many compliments. Complete strangers were gushing and my now-husband was blown away. Finally, this dress is super-comfortable -- almost like a nightgown. Get this dress, and you'll be the fairytale princess of your (and his) dreams!

Perfect dress for elopement!
My now-husband and I decided to elope with less than 48 hrs to plan. RTR came through with two fabulous dresses for me (I couldn't decide to go with long or short.) I ended up wearing this one the day after the ceremony, to a celebration dinner. What a FABULOUS dress! Incredibly beautiful, feminine, romantic and the 0 fit me perfectly (35-25-33; 115 lbs). The only caveat: It's VERY low cut and lace falls away from the neckline, so trust me: WEAR FASHION TAPE! I also wore a stick-on strapless bra, but could have gone braless. Pair with nude heels and pearls, and let the wedding bells ring!

Perfect with sapphires!
As always, Nicole Miller is my big favorite. I've never worn sequins before and was nervous that the "bling" factor would be tacky. Not at all -- this dress is incredibly elegant, and while eye-catching, no hit of Vegas. I usually wear a 2 in Nicole Miller and this fit, but ran large. I wish I had ordered the 0. Extremely comfortable, as well. Felt like my nightgown all evening! Wore to PHL Orchestra New Year's Eve concert with sapphires that I got for Christmas. Several women commented how gorgeous I looked! (The men just stared.) Get this dress; you'll be glad you did.

Perfect sexy dinner dress
I love Nicole Miller and loved this dress. Wore it to cocktails and dinner at Philly's best restaurant on New Year's Day. Heads swiveled everywhere I went! Fit was amazingly comfortable -- lots of stretch and give, and skirt could be hiked up or down quite a bit. I could wear a regular bra with it, with a bit of adjusting. Fashion tape would have solved that. Dress manages to be both conservative and va-va-va-voom at the same time. Highly recommended.

You'll feel like Audrey Hepburn!
I loved this dress. The black over nude is stunning -- it looks as though you're showing skin, but it's perfectly modest. The black is a very rich tone and the lace has embroidery over it in a flower pattern that doesn't show well in the photos. Also a few discreet sequins to give sparkle -- stunning, elegant and classy effect, almost Spanish looking. Size 2 fit perfectly other than the arms, which run SMALL! I'm very thin and muscular but barely could get my arms in; hence the 4-star review. You'll also need someone to zip you up, as I could not manage it on my own. No bra needed if you're small. I wore to the ballet in Philadelphia and turned heads all night. If you want a truly elegant dress, this is the one.

This dress is a gorgeous Christmas red!
This dress is the ideal color for a Christmas event and it really catches the eye. The fit was perfect and it was reasonably comfortable for a lace dress. I gave it 3 stars mostly because the lace looked worn, especially around the top and collar. You also definitely will need another person around to hook the top back hooks. I worn this to a formal dinner with black pumps and black pashmina. Didn't need any bra, but I'm small. As always, RTR service is the best.

Killer dress - Pretty Woman movie come true!
The whole Rent the Runway experience was perfect. I live in the wilds of Maine and needed a dress for an opera gala in Philadelphia. This Nicole Miller dress was the best I've EVER worn! Sexy, classy, elegant -- like a movie from the 1940s. My boyfriend nearly passed out when he saw me, and strangers came up to us on the street and at the opera to pay compliments. The dress clung where it needed to but wasn't sleazy in any way. The rear is SUPER clingy and sexy, so advisable to wear Spanx or if you're in great shape, wear a "no line" thong. No bra needed. I'm 34B and size 2R JUST fit (kind of tight in bust, but I have broad shoulders. If you're busty, go up a size). Can be a bit tricky to walk in, so wear comfortable HIGH heels. In all, I'd buy this dress and definitely will "rent the runway" again! New Year's Eve in Philly, here I come! (In another RTR dress, for sure!)
