Super Comfortable and Unique Work Dress

I wasn't sure about this dress when I selected it or when I received, but after reading the reviews about it being really comfortable and running a little on the large side, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! This dress is so easy to wear and looks great on! It doesn't wrinkle easily and whatever wrinkles you get come out quickly with a steamer. The color is nice, not too bright, but still a rich color. The material is stretchy but not too thin. I am narrow in the waist and larger in the hips but I didn't have my usual problem wearing this dress. The waistband fit without being too loose and the rest of the skirt stretched to fit my hips without looking too tight. Would look great with a long necklace or a statement necklace and pretty much any kind of shoe. That's what makes it so great - the versatility! The only minor issue I had with the dress was keeping the hanger straps for the skirt tucked in. The best way I found to keep them out of the way was to criss-cross them in the back under the waistband. If they fell, at least the top was longer in the back and could cover them up. Still, I had to adjust them multiple times, but it's no different than having to tuck a shirt in repeatedly throughout the day. Not a deterrent for me but just something to keep in mind. Just a great, comfortable dress when you want an effortless and relaxed look that is still polished enough for work.

Nice dress but that top button is in the wrong place!

This was a great dress, beautiful color, easy to wear, and the material was a very nice quality. However, the top button/hook on this dress was entirely in the wrong spot (too high). If left open, the dress is too low cut and needs a tank underneath. If the hook/button is closed, it covers up the goods but restricts the chest area and makes the dress look like it is too tight, even though it fits perfectly everywhere else. The hook should be about 3 inches lower so that the dress is still flattering without being too revealing.

Fantastic dress! Flattering for most body types.

This dress is phenomenal. It hugged every curve but the double layers and pattern made it very forgiving. I loved that it was a turtleneck as the fuller coverage paired well with how form-fitting it was. I wore this dress on a date and then for New Year's Eve party. I honestly don't want to return it but (as with most items on RTR) the buy it price is more than I want to spend on one dress. Be selective with pairing jewelry and purses as the outer layer of this dress is a delicate woven fabric that can snag if you're not careful. Otherwise, the dress is amazing and I can see it looking great on a lot of different body types. If you're new the RTR or struggle with finding your right size in other dresses, this is a great dress to try.

Fun dress for daytime events

This is a great dress. Loved the fit and material. It accentuated my waist and fit nicely throughout the hips. The sleeves were a little short/tight in my opinion, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I wore this dress to an outdoor flea market event in Miami and felt very beautiful in it. I think it would be difficult for those with a larger chest or wide ribcage to be comfortable in this dress because there is no stretch. I think it's great for pear-shaped women because it is very forgiving in the hips and fitted up top to show off your figure without being too tight on the bottom. I normally don't like pockets because I find it makes my hips look larger but it worked for this dress because of the way it is cut. It also made accessing my phone and lip gloss very convenient. I would absolutely wear this dress again!

Great shirt for work & happy hour.

I LOVED this shirt! It was so comfortable and made me feel very put-together in an effortless way. I paired it with nude pumps and a black pencil skirt. I received many compliments on it. Be careful if you are large up top as the keyhole was a little low-cut in my opinion. For me, it didn't matter because I have a smaller bust and kept all the snaps/hooks closed. For someone who has a tendency to "bust out" of their tops, you may need to size up or wear something underneath (if you're worried about it being work appropriate). This top would be great for a work-to-date night. It's very flattering for those with a narrow waist. Another note for ladies with a long torso - I normally steer clear of peplum tops because they are often too short and therefore hit my waist and hips at the wrong (unflattering) level. Not so with this top. It was cut very well, hit my waist and hips just right. Would definitely wear again!

I wore this to a work holiday luncheon.

Dress was great. The fit worked really well for me because I am pear shaped. I found that the bust and hips were just right. The waist was a little big, so I wore a black belt. I read other reviews that said the material was uncomfortable, but I didn't find that to be the case (and normally I am pretty sensitive to texture). I would definitely rent it again.

I could not wear this dress.

I could not make this dress work, despite really wanting to wear it! The material is great and stretchy but thick, which is great for hugging your curves but still covering up flaws. Unfortunately, the sleeves on this dress are ridiculously disproportional. The cap sleeve was really tight. I tried moving it down my shoulder to see if I was placing it wrong, but then there was a gap under the arm. The other narrow sleeve or sleeveless strap was so loose no matter how much I tucked and tugged and pulled on it. The top part of the strap easily came up to my ear! I spent a long time adjusting this thing but I just could not get it to work. Other reviews said that it runs really small, so I may have had the wrong size. However, if the cap sleeve is any smaller in the smaller sizes, then I won't even be able to get my arm through. It's really too bad because the dress could be really very flattering if it was made correctly.

Could not wear this dress

This dress was too big on top and in the waist. I think it fit just right in the hips, with a little bit of room for when you sit down. Unfortunately, I could not make it work because of how big it was on top. I may try to order it in a size down, but I'm concerned that it will then be too tight in the hips. The dress has no stretch so there is zero room for forgiveness if the size doesn't fit you.

I wore this dress twice - once on a Friday at work and once for a date.

I enjoyed wearing this dress. It was lightweight but, because of the pattern, I didn't have any of the normal "thin dress" issues. I didn't have to wear a slip, which is nice because I live in a hot climate. I paired it with a thin black belt and black booties. The pattern is pretty, although louder than I would normally wear. The only issue I had with the dress is that it had some fraying at the seams around the shoulders; I'm guessing because it has been worn a lot. Also, the length was longer on me than the model, and I would have preferred to have it hit me where it hits her.

I wore this dress for work. It was super comfortable and very pretty!

I really enjoyed wearing this dress. Typically, you find a dress is either comfortable to wear or really beautiful. This dress was both. I love how stretchy and thick the material is...makes it very very forgiving. Stretchy materials are often thin which means every flaw is visible. Not so with this dress! I liked the little peak-a-boo of blue in the underside as well. This dress could easily be dressed up for an event or occasion. I did have some trouble with the way the dress flared and had to steam it in a certain way to get it to fall right, even then I still had to adjust it throughout the day or it stuck out way too far on the sides and looked almost like I was wearing a tutu underneath. It also creases easily and the lines stay visible even after you've tried to flatten them out. However, the dress is black so this is a minor problem in my opinion. Overall, I think this was a really good rental.

I couldn't wear this dress because it was too big/too long in the torso.

I have a really long torso, so typically my issue with dresses that hit at the waist is that they are too high up on me, fitting closer to the bottom of my ribcage than my actual waist. This dress was the opposite. I bought it in a smaller size than the size chart said for me, size 4, and it was still too long/loose. I might try renting it in a 2 to see if that helps, but my real issue with it was the length. You could tell the dress was about 3-4" too long. It hit my legs at the lower part of my calf, rather than just below the knee, like it does in the picture. I'm 5'7" so I've never had a problem with dresses being too long. This dress was definitely not made right. If it was made like the one in the picture, with a shorter top, it would be beautiful, as the material and pattern are really nice. I was so looking forward to wearing this dress too!

This was 1 of 3 dresses I ordered in my first unlimited shipment, rented to wear to work.

I ordered this dress in a medium because I am bigger on bottom than on top and figured the medium would be more work-appropriate. Unfortunately, it was too big for me up top, which cause the darts in the bust area to hang loose and poke out. I tried adjusting it and wearing a different bra, but nothing seemed to help. I might try to re-order this in the small to see if that fits me better. I really like the style and cut of the dress otherwise, and the material is really great. Just wish it had fit me!

The fit of this dress was okay. Personally, I think it looked better in pictures than in person. I felt sort of frumpy in it. I could not get the extra fabric on the side to hang right, even after attempting to steam out the wrinkles. Also, I did not realize the slit in the chest was so low....not really work appropriate. However, the rest of the dress, style-wise, was too conservative for a night out or a date, in my opinion, so I was left wondering where I'd really be able to wear it. Decided to return it for something else.

The dress fit true to size, wasn't tight in any areas, and the quality was mostly great. The main issue I had with the dress is that the white part was pretty sheer, even my nude underwear showed through. Maybe if I went a size up and it fit loose, that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't think this style of the dress is meant to fit loose.
