I would say it runs a smidge small in the waist but could accommodate almost any chest size given the laces in the back---you can just loosen them. I read some reviews that said this dress was forgiving & against all logic... I guess I was feeling delulu because I rented it. It is not, in any way, forgiving. How could it be? It is a ribbed sweater dress & not thick enough or tight enough (a la herve leger) to provide any shaping. Would also be damn near impossible to wear spanx beneath this imho & certainly cannot wear a bra besides a sticky one & even then you'd have to be careful of hiding the clasp in the front. Would be so stunning for a fall/winter date night or holiday party. If you're uber confident in your body shape go for it, but that's just not me lol

Rented this as a backup for a NYE wedding and am grateful I didn't need it as my first choice fit perfectly. The fabric is gorgeous, but the fit was slightly small in the bodice (I'm a 34B so it wasn't my bust) and the front was shorter than I expected (5'7"). I can see how for bustier girls this would be very revealing. Don't think I'd ever rent again, esp not for a wedding --just a little sexy for my taste between the length, & the low halter neckline.

Rented this for date night and it did not disappoint. I was able to pin the dress beneath the bow and get away with wearing a normal plunge bra with it which was awesome. If I wasn't so tragically flat I'd have gone braless. Do be prepared to show some cleavage if you're prone to that---with the ties in the front I think the dress could accommodate up to probably a D cup before it started to look too tight. Will definitely rent again. You'll need to give this one a quick steam out of the bag.

Rented this to dress up a pair of white pants for a date night but it just wasn't flattering. I would say it runs slightly big (I rented a 2) and it is difficult to explain but the top back didn't lie flat. Where the top edge of the shirt is folded in (where the tag would be) that whole top edge of the shirt doesn't want to lie flat against the skin and it looks odd. Given the brand and the retail price point I just expected it to look more expensive and just lie/fall nicely on the body but it did not. You'll also 100% need to steam this before wearing.

Rented this for everyday and loved it. It is linen so it'll need to be steamed prior to wearing and between wears but it is very light, cool, perfect for hot weather. You may also need help tying the back bow or you'll have to tie it before you slip the top on. This top could literally fit two sizes up due to its generous cut, so if in doubt I'd say size down

Loved the idea of this dress but in reality it was poorly executed. First off it came without the belt, but they warned me it would and I probably wouldn't have work it anyway but still. Second it was so low cut that you'd have to be careful of the kind of bra you wore. It also ran slightly snug in the waist (my waist is 26.25" for reference) though it was plenty roomy in the hips. The pockets just made my hips look wider & made me look pear shaped which I am not, and I didn't like that either. Fabric was soft but thin. Overall underwhelmed--I won't rent in a size up because it's just not that flattering.

Though I'm not big on top (32 B) this top felt too tight around the top band--not too tight around my bust (or in the body of the top) so much as above it, & it gave me that unattractive front bra far bulge so I didn't end up wearing it. Also wasn't in love with the bow thing in the front once I had it on--it would be tricky to get it to lay flat and look like the pic. Even if you think you have a small chest I'd consider sizing up so the top band isn't so tight.

Rented & wore (was actually the first to wear it--came with tags!) for a black tie optional gala. I'm 5'7", 122 lbs, usually a size 2, and I found this to run slightly large. Not so large that I couldn't wear it, but I might have found it slightly more flattering if it was a hair more fitted. That being said, it is NOT forgiving in the least because though the fabric is high quality its just a slinky dress and you can't really wear spanx or a bra (you could wear a nubra or nippies which I did) because of the low back. I'm a 32B and feel like this dress could easily acommodate up to about a 34D (in a size 2) without compromising the fit of the top. I felt like I had to suck it in all night because I'm neurotic about my tummy looking ultra flat, but I did get a few compliments. Definitely for someone confident in their figure & okay with going braless (or just a nubra or nippies) but overall I recommend this dress.

Rented this for a black tie optional event. I thought it would be different& unique and I know my size in Monique Lhuillier dresses--2. This ran true to size other than there was extra room in the bust (in a 34B) which is easily resolvable with some cups or a nubra. It wasn't particularly flattering at all, and it was longer on me than I anticipated given I'm 5'7". Overall it wasn't bad but it did nothing for me and the length was awkward so it's going back. If you're 5'4" or shorter this will probably come close to the floor on you--just a heads up.

Rented this jumpsuit for an event requiring more formal attire. As it is still quite cold where I live and I'm suuuuuper fair, I didn't want to expose my legs and generally wanted to show as little skin as possible without looking matronly. This jumpsuit isn't actually one I originally rented, but when of the options I rented wasn't available, then nothing from my order fit, RTR's AMAZING customer service sent me this at the last moment to see if it would work for my event---THANK YOU RTR team! As luck would have it, it fit perfectly and was very flattering, forgiving and I will likely rent it again in the future. My only gripe is that it was on the short side--I'm 5'7" and only wore 3" heels and it looked quite short so next time I'll rent the 2L. As far as the fit in the chest I'm a pretty flat 32B-small C so the deep front showed zero cleavage and just looked chic on me IMHO. Definitely could've used some fashion tape to secure the medial edges of the V to my chest because sitting up super straight does get a little tiring lol And forget about wearing a bra with this one----even a Nubra didn't work for me so I just popped on some nipple covers and called it a day. Overall would 100% recommend just make sure you're okay going bra-less & you get a long if you're taller than 5'6"

Sleek black jumpsuit that I would have happily worn to my event had it not been 2 inches too long in the torso. Unfortunately though there was no where attractive to hide the extra fabric---either it would bunch at the waist or the top bit just beneath the neck strap would bunch out, both of which are unacceptable IMO so I did not wear it. I do know that I have a short torso for my height (5'7") but its not usually as painfully obvious as it was in this jumpsuit. I also wish it had been slightly longer--I'm on the border or ordering long sizes and I would have preferred a long so I could wear it with tall heels. Of note this is not particularly forgiving throughout the body, so do beware of that.

Wore this dress to an event where I'd be meeting a lot of people for the first time and wanted to dress rather conservatively. This dress is conservative without being boring or matronly, VERY comfortable to wear, has an interesting design, and is super elegant. I got more than a few compliments and felt super confident in this dress --like a younger Claire Underwood or Lilly Bass which is exactly what I was going for (for those who watch House of Cards or Gossip Girl). I'm 5'7 size 0-2 and though the 38 fit fine I preferred the ever so slightly looser fit of the 40 so I wore the 40. This hit me just above my knees, and though the fabric is beautifully thick this is not the most forgiving dress IMO. You definitely need special underwear to prevent VPL and a good strapless bra (but not too tight because otherwise back bra bulge will be in full display). Probably should've worn Spanx but I forget them at home (wore this while traveling). Overall though I 100% recommend this dress if you're going for the elegant and conservative look without being boring or looking too mature!

I rented this for a dinner social event and actually didn't end up wearing it because it wound up being way more casual than I anticipated. In any case, if it hadn't been for that I would have worn this dress even though it wasn't exactly what I expected. I am 5'7 size 0-2 with quite a short torso (so long legs) and this felt quite short on me--mid thigh--and was tighter than I expected too. If it had been looser the length wouldn't have bothered me so much but it was tight AND very short by my standards. It is black but the knit material isn't the most forgiving, though it IS very stretchy. I have zero curves so I'd say unless you're going for the skin tight very short dress look, size up. Not sure if I'd rent again because of length but if I did I'd definitely size up.

Rented this dress for the Marine Corps Ball. I always like to air on the conservative side for military events, and I wanted to minimize how much of my super pale skin was showing so I was happy to find a dress with long sleeves that didn't look matronly! Very TTS, though the 0L was a tad long on me (5'7" with 3" heels no platform) but it didn't cause any issues. Not the most forgiving, definitely recommend a pair of Spanx. I was very disappointed to find the dress had a slit (didn't note a slit on the sites pics and it wasn't listed on the product details) and my legs definitely did show when I walked. Not only do I hate to show my legs (they're forever banged up and awful looking) but I'm just not a fan of slits & didn't need the sexy factor. Overall though it's the most conservative dress I think I could've found and I was satisfied with it.

This dress is made for someone with a very long torso...and sadly I'm not that person. This dress was a true size 0. The issue was that he bodice was cut too long. The bodice fabric wrinkled at the waist --not because it was too tight, I noticed it in pictures of other reviewers and thought maybe theirs was too tight or they just had a short torso. I loved the silhouette of this dress and wanted a fun, feminine LBD to wear in Vegas. This dress was simply being too big in the waist and as a result was not as flattering as it could have been; maybe if I had paired it with a cute belt it could've been more flattering but I didn't have one on hand. Also, the 'slip' part of the skirt under the layers of tulle is really short--that paired with the fact that you don't really 'feel' the full tulle part of the skirt against your legs makes you feel exposed. It was a good idea, but maybe better for someone who isn't a true size 0 and is much shorter so the bottom wouldn't be as much of an issue.

I loves this dress more than I thought I would! It was prefect for the swanky summer wedding I attended in DC. It fit true to size (I wore the zero long) and the long was the perfect length with some killer 5" (including platform) heels. It was definitely snug, so I didn't feel I could eat much that night because you and wear spanx due to the exposed back. Definitely NOT a forgiving dress, so be sure you're comfortable with you midsection if you're considering this--there's no hiding anything! The back was so gorgeous though, it made up for the fact that it couldn't eat much lol. The bust part was rather snug, and actually flattened out my chest and made it look flatter...I was going to wear a sticky silicone bra but was in a rush and couldn't find it so I just rolled with it and looked flat lol It is stretchy so I think bigger busted girls might be okay, but it definitely doesn't help your chest look any better. Got tons on compliments, from men and women. I was never crazy about the slits, I wish they would have done just one, or none at all, but they didn't bother me as much as I though. They definitely added a sexiness factor I wasn't looking for, so that may be a plus for some. Overall a really gorgeous dress, would recommend wholeheartedly!

This was a perfect bag for the wedding I went to. It was in excellent condition except that the chain showed signs of wear, like the gold plating (or brass plating, whatever plating it was that made the chain gold) was wearing off and you could tell. It was strange because the rest of the bag looked new, but the chain strap looked worn. I just kept it tucked into the bag I had crammed with my phone and things and carried it as a clutch. I wanted to love this dress because the color was perfect for a formal spring wedding, but it just didn't do it for me. I think the styling is probably a good idea on paper, but on my size zero boyish figure it didn't look fantastic; it didn't look bad, but it was just OK. I wasn't impressed with the lining of the dress, it seemed thin, easily wrinkled, and you could see the wrinkles in the lining through the chiffon overlay. It was the kind of dress where you'd have wrinkles across your lap constantly from sitting and you'd be able to see them all night long (that would bug me). The bust part didn't fit the way I would have liked, perhaps a slighter bigger bust would have been better. Also, the sides have like gaps, where there's no lavender chiffon covering the lining fabric and it just looks awkward, I wish it had been covered. I didn't end up wearing this dress, although I will say it was a true size zero and it was long enough with 4.5 inch heels even though I'm 5'7"

The dress fit perfectly, a true size zero. I wore it to someone's rehearsal dinner and got compliments all night long. Someone I didn't even know stopped me and told me I looked fabulous. My only complaint was that the dress was a few inches shorter than I would have liked. I'm 5'7 and with heels I felt like it should have been a little longer. The fact that you don't really 'feel' the skirt as much on your legs because it's made of tulle probably exacerbates the feeling of it being too short, but it was beautiful and pretty conservative up top so I just owned it. Very light dress, perfect for an early summer outdoor rehearsal dinner.
