Perfect for a rustic. vineyard wedding. I'm 5'6 and the regular length swept the ground with flats, you could definitely wear a low heel/wedge. The elastic around the top is soft and doesn't cut into the skin and stays in place when moving, eating and dancing. This dress has a flattering silhouette and the fabric is light so it doesn't make you hot on a summer day. For future moms - this is also ideal for a little bump. :) If I don't end up buying this dress, I'd be shocked.

If I had this in an XS, I would have probably said this was a 5 star dress. I liked the length, the color and the fabric. It was just so bagging in the natural waist (29-30 inches). I ordered a S & M and had to wear a belt with the S to give me a shape. The top cuts in a little bit but, I have a smaller bust so, it was not a problem for me. I imagine there could be side spillage for others.

This dress was absolutely amazing and the crazy part it was my backup and I preferred it to the dress I actually picked! I wore this to winter formal event and it was a huge hit. It was classic enough but, the cutouts made it so much fun. The coverage goes a long way when it's cold outside. I fit into both the size 4&6. I ended up going with the 6 because there was a little extra wiggle room and I wanted a more forgiving fit. The fabric is really thick so, you don't see any lumps or bumps which is comforting when you are in a fitted dress. Highly recommend this dress!

This was initially my first choice for a rental I was wearing to a black and white party. Online it was exactly what I was looking for. When it arrived, they didn't have my backup size, and good thing, the size 6 was very snug on my ribs (29 inches), the 4 would not have fit. The white wasn't as pure white as it appeared in photos and it didn't look as formal or flashy in person. It would be a good dress for a party but, it didn't make a statement. I ended up wearing the back-up dress (a different RTR dress) to the event.

I wore this dress for the Black Tie Gala for my organization. As someone that needed to work that evening, I wanted something comfortable but, elegant. This dress was both. It's a very flowing dress so, if you have wider hips and a smaller upper half, this fits very well. I have a 29 inch waist and the 4 fit well. There was a little room but, nothing gaping. My only complaint was it sometimes felt a little more like a bridesmaid gown. Things to know: the lace area is an illusion so, your bare skin isn't exposed, the back does plunge so, some standard bras might show in the back. I went without and felt secure in the dress and I'm nearly 5'6 and I wore 2 1/2 inch heels and the 4R was the perfect length, I only caught myself once or twice.

Beautiful dress! Even more so in person. The embellishments really stand out in person. I wore this for a work gala event and felt beautiful but, still functional. I had so many compliments about the back of this dress. It was stunning. You will need double sided tape for the front. It does plunge and you'll need it to feel secure. I used it on the back as well because I have a smaller upper body and wanted a snug fit. I had no problems once I applied the tape, and that was from start to finish of the event!

I wore this dress for my bridal shower and it was a stunner. It was actually my back-up dress twice (for a bridal luncheon and then for the shower). When I heard my first choice wouldn't be coming, I was happy to see it was a dress I had already tried on once before and felt pretty in. It fit perfectly in the waist, I wore the size 4 and my natural waist fluctuates between 30-31 inches. I am not busty so, I didn't find it tight in the chest but, I can imagine it could feel that way. I'm 5'6 and it hit right below the knee, which I prefer of my pear shaped bottom half. It was modest but, still very attractive with a little bit of whimsy. I had nonstop compliments and felt comfortable the entire time. Great shower dress!

On a whim, I ordered this dress for an Alice and Wonderland themed Black & White Party. I was working as a volunteer so, I wanted something fun but, also functional. It fit the theme. it was a great take on Alice's dress and it was comfortable. I received many compliments (I even complimented someone else in the same dress rental!) I didn't even try on the backup size. The waist of the size 6 was fitted but, not too tight (my waist is about 29-30 inches). Overall, I loved the dress, totally worth the price. Also, GREAT for pear shapes. It was awesome to highlight my waist and still feel comfortable in my hips.

I rented this dress for a work gala. I read all the reviews and 100% this dress runs small. I sized up and I still felt like I was in a sausage casing. I've never needed spanx for a dress before but, I went out and purchased some to make sure you couldn't see and lines from my underwear. It wasn't my favorite dress from RTR but, I did receive complements from colleagues and event attendees. The color was a show stopper but, not the right fit for my body type. In addition, there was a strange lining that poked out in the front that made me feel self conscious as if my slip was showing. The length was great, I like something that hits right below the knee for work events and at 5'6" it looked as pictures. Some other reviews mention that the sleeves are tight and I can understand that, it isn't a super flexible fabric but, I didn't have that problem. Keep in mind I am smaller chested and that probably helped with the comfort of the top. If you rent, size up! You won't be sorry you did.

This was my second Rent the Runway dress for a work event. I was a little worried that the back would be too much or that the sequins would scratch my arms as I worked all night but, neither was the case. This is a great dress, fun and still elegant. It's an amazing shade of green - it paired well with black tights to give it a more professional vibe but, also looked great with bare legs. I received countless compliments about the dress - the style and the color. Both the size 4 and the size 6 fit - I opted for the 6 but, in a pinch the 4 would have worked too. With an awesome back like this, you cannot wear a traditional bra (or a bra at all, pending on your comfort). The sequins didn't rub or irritate the inside of my arms which was nice because I was working all night.The dress hit just above the knee which was the perfect length for me. My only complaint was the hem on my dress was starting to look a little used. Might need a tune up before sending it out again.

I was hesitant about renting a dress because I find that being pear shaped* makes it difficult to gauge things online. However, the fit was perfect. I usually wear size 6 because of my hip size but, my bust works better in a size 4. As this was an a-line dress the 4 was the perfect fit. I didn't even try the 6. I've never worn a tea length before and at 5'6" it fell perfectly mid-shin. It was comfortable and I didn't feel like I was pulling it up the entire night. I was complimented by my colleagues and by guests of the event, I've never been more confident in a dress before, I was sad to ship it back. I highly recommend this for a formal occasion. *If it helps my measurements are bust: 35.5 in - waist: 28.5 in - hips: 42 in.
