Sexy yet classy look that's good for pear shapes & petites.
I was worried about renting this look because I'm a classic pear shape. But the fact that other users rated it so highly made me take a chance and I'm so glad I did! It's a really unique look that worked perfectly for Valentine's Day with black tights and black high heels. I paired it with the pear necklace in the photo and wore the blouse with a few buttons open; I topped off the look with red lipstick, which contrasted nicely with the cream color of the blouse. It worked beautifully and my husband loved the whole look. I'm 5'1" and 143 lbs, usually wearing a size 8 or 10 on the bottom. The M fit absolutely perfectly and created a flattering figure. I'd wear it again if I could.

A little loose, not very flattering.
I had ordered this dress to wear for a birthday party because I loved the print, color, and casual but fun feel of the dress. Unfortunately, it didn't fit as I'd hoped. I'm a classic pear shape so maybe it just isn't the right cut for my body type. Still, I ordered a Medium and found that the bottom fit a bit loose and the top was definitely larger than I could've worked with. I ended up sending it back. Too bad. The print was very nice.

I ordered this dress to wear to a friend's wedding. I am a true pear shape so I'd hoped this would be a great fit. From the photograph on the model and my search results (I looked specifically under my body type), I thought this would be a great fit. I'm usually between a 6 and an 8, so I ordered both. Well, the 6 was way too tight on the bottom and the 8 was way too loose on top. I wore the 8 but there was something strange about the fit. It seems that the bottom part of the skirt sat awkwardly on my hips and because the top was so loose, the whole dress kept shifting to the left all night and getting stuck there. I spent a good part of the night running from the dance floor to the bathroom to unzip and correct the fit and direction. The tulle was also very itchy. You should also know that the fabric has absolutely no stretch. Bottom line: If you're a pear shape, this dress is NOT for you, despite what it may look like on the model. I wish I'd read the other reviewer's comments and chosen another option. I love Marchesa and their gorgeous designs but this dress was not at all a wearable option.

Gold lace detailing & shorter length skirt ideal for shorter girls.
I felt as though this dress ran a bit on the larger side but maybe that's because I'm pretty petite on top, as a true pear shape. I'm 5'1 and 143 lbs and feel as though I could have been ok with a size 4, even on the bottom. I wore it with black stockings because the skirt was a tiny bit short and it was a cooler evening so that worked out well. But be mindful of the length. Even on me, it was a tad too mini. Still, it was a pretty dress that stood out in a sea of plain black and a comfortable fit for the whole night.

Cute, simple, true to size, nice for pear shapes.
This was my backup dress for a formal event and I would have worn it but the other choice sold me with the gold lace. This is a great, simple and comfortable dress that works well for pear shapes. I ordered a 6 and it fit perfectly (I'm 5'1", 143 lbs). Works well with tights on a cooler night. Cute integrated belt detailing makes it easy to accessorize.
