I will start by saying that anything that happened was not really the fault of the dress. The zipper decided to malfunction the day of the event. I was really bummed out. The dress itself looked incredible. It's a very heavy cotton, so it is rather hot in the southern heat we were in, but it's not overwhelming hot thanks to the jersey. This dress is also a super fantastic color. It looked great on my pasty and would probably look great on most anyone. I'm between a 12 and a 14, and the 12 fit no problems. The boning did poke a bit on my ribcage on the bottom part. Like I said, other than the malfunction, the dress was incredible. I just wish I'd taken pictures the first time I got it on, and I may even rent it again just because.

The color was entirely too pale for me. I'm short in the torso, so the one shoulder was extremely loose. Material also tries to snag on the zipper. Still a lovely dress, but definitely not for me.

I rented the gown for an evening dinner that didn't end up happening. However, with a little pinning and finesse, it worked almost like a fancy maxi for church. The Pros: The dress itself is quite lovely, and if I had not wanted to breathe I could have fit into the 10R. It zipped and buttoned, I just didn't like the snug feel. It's also a very flattering shade of pastel that works unusually well for individuals like myself that are borderline ghost. The Cons: The material is actually quite warm, which on an unusually warm day in an unusually warm church makes for a miserable time. I pinned it because it really was quite exposing, and did not stay put with the safety pin. I ended up changing before dinner for those two reasons. If you aren't hot blooded and don't mind a cleavage show, it will probably work perfect for you.

This was my second time ordering the dress. First time I ordered the 10, thinking I hadn't gained that much weight, and the 10 failed. The 12 worked perfectly. A few tricks about this dress: If you don't wear a bra, you will need fashion tape to keep the top up. It travels off your shoulders otherwise. You can wear a strapless plunge bra, but that's the only kind. It has to be the plunge, regular strapless shows. The waist is exactly how it says, and that is the only part that is not loose, quite snug really, but not uncomfortably so. It is definitely low, so if that's not your thing, don't go there, or wear a camisole. Overall, the dress was fantastic, looked great, and super comfortable. Even got a picture with my boyfriend's black cat in the "black cat dress." Super cheesy, but his idea.
