This dress was gorgeous, and there were several reasons I loved it - I rented the large, but it might have been OK in the medium (it was the only size available, so I didn't get the chance to try a M as a backup). There are small shoulder pads that help the top maintain its shape, and I liked that the neck came high enough that I didn't need a necklace. The arm holes are plenty wide w/o showing side boob. The back is open, but barely so; it's draped very nicely. I am a 36B, and because the top isn't tight, I didn't have to wear a bra at all - just silicone boob covers (forget the brand), which were fantastic - and I probably didn't need to wear those either. I had to change the Spanx I wore to a lower-hip-riding pair b/c of the open back, but that was no big deal. The dress was NOT tight at the waist and felt very flowy. There is a high slit in the skirt, but it is really well hidden - it did not fly open or anything crazy like that. The dress is super lightweight, so it was easy to wear all night without feeling heavy or stuffy. I am 5-5, and I wore 2-inch heels, and the hem just touched the ground. The color is really pretty - kind of a copper/gold/brown - I paired it with art-deco style gold earrings, a smoky topaz cocktail ring, and copper colored close-toed heels. I think the ONLY thing that could make it better would be pockets!!

I wore this dress to a gala auction for our school with a Havana Nights theme. I usually wear either a size 8 or 10 - super dependent on the actual dress and I wore the Medium - it fit perfectly. I only needed a little bit of fashion tape under the sleeveless arm to avoid a gap. I did wear a strapless bra (there wasn't a shelf bra). The slit was not too high and wasn't too revealing. The off-the shoulder aspect also wasn't too revealing because the back of the dress was solid (vs. strappy). The dress itself was lightweight and SUPER comfortable. I didn't feel like I was squeezed into something, but I also didn't feel like I was wearing a tent. The extra fabric on the arm was also not in the way (somehow) - it all fell perfectly. This dress would work really well for a pregnant person because the waist is very forgiving. Not the best picture but I don't have the "prom pictures" to upload yet :). I paired this with 4 inch red heels and big reddish/coral earrings and it looked great. I got SO many complements.

I'm 47 and even though it's beautiful, it felt a little "young" for me. I'd rent what size you normally wear and consider sizing DOWN for your backup

This dress is amazing! The colors are beautiful (my picture doesn't do it justice). I am usually between a size 8 and 10 so those are the sizes I rent from RTR and the 8 was perfect. I didn't need a bra (although I wore one) and NO SPANX because of the waist and flare of the skirt. It fit beautifully across the top so I wasn't tugging it up all night (I'm a 36C but they're flat C's because...breastfed 3 babies in the last 5 years). The length was perfect - I'm 5'4" and wore about 2.5-inch heels. It had pockets too, which was great for carrying my phone around. I wore big chunky pink/coral earrings that matched the flowers and no necklace. I wasn't too hot or too cold (my event was indoors in March). I'm 42 and felt this dress was the perfect mix of pretty and trendy but not like I was trying to look like a 20-year-old. I love this style and would rent it again.

This dress was amazing! I normally wear between an 8 and a 10 and the 8R fit wonderfully with 3 inch heels - I’m 5’4”. The blue is beautiful and I really did get complements all night long. The zipper was broken and tough to close but I got it to work. It is SO comfortable to sit, stand, walk, etc. it was not too hot to wear, not heavy at all. Another great experience from RTR!

I ended up not wearing this dress because I liked my first choice better and because i probably needed a slightly bigger size. I normally wear between an 8 and a 10 and this was fairly tight - i wonder if the Large would have been too big? It was beautiful and with some sweet spanx, I could have pulled it off. The slit is a little high but not horribly so. It’s a beautiful color somewhere between teal and green.

This is a lovely dress - a nice shade of red with a nude underlay. There are scattered sequins that give off a subtle gold sparkle. The neckline is pretty without being too revealing. The dress definitely hugs curves - I wore spanx underneath. On my dress, a bit of lace on the right arm had separated and a previous renter had tacked it down with a small safety pin - hopefully RTR will repair this! The lace on the shoulders/arms is a little scratchy, but after a few minutes, I didn't notice. The skirt doesn't have a slit so I had to vault myself into the Dodge Ram truck that was our Uber ride :) I am 9 weeks post-partum and between an 8 and a 10 depending on style. The 8 fit very nicely and the 10 was a little bigger but didn't look horribly baggy - my husband thought the 8 looked better so I went with it. I liked being able to wear a normal bra with it. I was able to stand, walk, sit, and eat (a lot!) in comfort. It wasn't too hot or too cold. Overall, a beautiful dress, perfect for the holidays. I recommend this dress!

I rented this dress for a holiday dinner party with work friends. It is gorgeous! The material is nice and stretchy and it hugs your curves without feeling tight or constrained. The slit is appropriate (might reveal a little when you sit). The asymmetrical neckline is interesting and flattering and the best part is that you can wear a regular bra. I'm two months post-partum and nursing, so that was appreciated. The light rouching across the stomach also helped hide my belly, although I did wear a post-partum support garment underneath. I liked that the long sleeves meant I didn't need a coat. This dress was SO COMFORTABLE! There was no dancing at our dinner but if there WERE, you could totally dance in this dress in terms of freedom of movement. I am 41 years old, so it was age appropriate without feeling frumpy. I'm 5' 4" and 145 lbs. I normally wear between an 8 and a 10. The 8 was beautiful and while the 10 was a little bit bigger, it just felt a little too baggy, particularly in the arms. I wore the 8 - I'd recommend going UP a size for your back-up just in case. I would 100% wear this dress again and probably buy it if I could find it :)

This dress is amazing. The material has just enough stretch that it fits all your curves nicely. I felt it was easy to move in. I'm two months post-partum and wore a support garment underneath and it fit even my belly nicely. The length was perfect. I ended up not wearing this dress because it DOES show a little side-boob (tasteful) and I was worried that as the night went on and I hadn't pumped that it might get a little uncomfortable. Also, I couldn't have worn a nursing bra underneath. That being said, the dress was gorgeous, comfortable and I would definitely rent it again after I'm done breastfeeding. This is a stunning dress - I only tried it on and didn't wear it to my party because it was a little too fancy - but I would absolutely rent this again for the right occasion. It fits LIKE A GLOVE - probably wouldn't need a bra. The color is a brilliant red and the hem is actually a little asymmetrical which I don't think you can appreciate from the model's picture. I chose this dress because I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my second child (meaning my belly is BIGGER at this point) and it looked like it would work. I ordered the 8R and 10R (I'm usually between an 8 and 10 - 5 ft 5 and about 160 pounds pregnant). The 10R fit, but because of where the band sat (right under my boobs) - there was too much material on top so I looked bulky. It was also, oddly, shorter (maybe because of where it sat?). The 8R was a little tight to get the zipper up but once closed, fit like a glove! The band was a little tight but sat nicely above my bump, the top fit perfectly - no gaps. I wore a strapless bra (you might not have to) because I'm a little self conscious. No spanx needed (yay! not even sure they have those for preggos). I wore 3 inch heels which were a little high - would have been perfect with 2.5 or 2 inch but it was fine. The color was GORGEOUS (picture does it no justice). It was lightweight and very comfortable, flowed beautifully. No pockets. Very age appropriate (I'm 39 and didn't feel like I was trying to crash prom). I highly recommend this dress, especially for pregnant ladies (depending on belly size, you might want to get a long size). I was able to walk, eat, sit, go to the bathroom (!), with no issues. I didn't feel like I was squeezed or corseted in and even after a full meal the dress was still comfortable.

OK: I'm 20 weeks pregnant (and showing earlier with this one than my first), 5ft 5 in, 145 lbs when not pregnant, up to 150 currently. I normally wear an 8 or a 10 but I think other reviews said it runs small so I ordered a 10 and 12. I wore the 10 (didn't try the 12). The waistband fit snugly but was still above my bump. The top was fitted around my rib cage but seems to be made for ladies with larger boobs (I'm a large B or small C cup) - a little fashion tape fixed that with no problems. I think the 12 might have been more comfortable in the waist, but probably too large in the top. The "bump" issue I had was that the under-layer is more of a straight sheath than the over-layer which has more flare in terms of fabric - that made it feel a little tight. At the end of a 3 course dinner, the waistband felt tight - not sure if that would be the case were I not pregnant. Overall - the color was beautiful, the dress was in great condition. It hit the right tone for my event - dressy, but not TOO dressy, and age appropriate (I'm 39). As usual, a great experience with RTR.

I'm between an 8 and a 10, regular and petite depending on the brand, style and day of the week ;) I rented the 8 - no back-up size available so I can't comment on how a different size would fit. It was a little tight on top and through the ribcage, but I think a 10 would have been too big. What is great: beautiful color - the pictures don't do it justice, very rich jewel tones, skirt is big (in a good way) you don't need spanx (I wore them anyway) and I probably didn't need a bra. Even though the top felt a little tight, I wasn't pulling it up all night long. The skirt has pockets!! I also didn't wear hose since the skirt came to mid-calf (bonus!). It was comfortable, easy to sit in, fabric appropriate for a winter event, conservative enough for a military ball (I'm a LTC, as is my husband) but not matronly and even though there were 950 people at this ball I got tons of compliments from random people I didn't know (so no obligation to say anything) and there wasn't another dress that even resembled this one! ***Side note - customer service was fantastic, there was an issue with shipping due to the snowstorm on the East Coast but the dress made it!***

I loved the color - which was more of a greenish-blue than a true emerald green. It fit nicely in the top and was fitted in the arms, but not too tight. It hit me perfectly at the knee (5' 4" and 140 lbs). My ONLY issue with the fit is that the waist hit in the wrong place - it either needed to be a inch higher (like an empire waist) or about 1.5 to 2 inches lower, at my natural waist (I don't have a long torso or anything like that).
