Whimsical yet professional: perfect day-to-night top
Beautiful silky fabric with a blousy drape that works with slim trousers as well as jeans. The hem hit at my hip, which might be a little short for taller folks. This top is the only piece I'm wearing twice from my Unlimited order.

Cozy and swingy shape, but the 3/4 sleeve looks like 4/4 when you're 5'4"
Despite the reviews, I ordered this sweater-y coat because of its charming 3/4 sleeves. I'm short and should have known better: the sleeves fit like regular full sleeves on me. However, the ivory color is lovely and stands out among the workaday black and camel coats you'll see.

Subtle, chic and easy to wear
I wore this to an offsite work event that involved scrambling from planes, trains and automobiles all in one day. The dress held up beautifully (no wrinkles and no visible stretch) and I felt comfortable while appearing polished all day. The pockets do poke out a bit, compromising the silhouette, but I was glad to have them. I'd rent this again in a heartbeat.

Sporty and elegant, though sheer
I didn't wear this dress to my work event because as many other reviewers point out (and I should have heeded their warnings) this fabric is sheer. My arms felt a bit sausaged-in too. My recommendation to future renters: order a size up and bring a black slip.

Breezy, modern and elegant
This was my backup dress but it was so lovely and comfortable that I ditched the other dress. The fabric is silky and light, the assymetrical hem is flattering for short legs, and the playful train in the back adds an elegant touch. Regarding undergarments: given the light fabric I wore shapewear shorts rather than risk pantylines, and I'd recommend a stick-on bra since the back is sheer.

Outstanding (literally!) coral: not for wallflowers
I wore this perky little number to a late summer wedding, and the color was truly outstanding - it's a day-glo coral, so don't be afraid to stand out. The open back with bow is tastefully flirty, and the pleats create an hourglass flare for you whether you're naturally curvy or not. Two notes: 1) the fabric is heavy and doesn't breathe very well, and 2) if you don't wear a bra or fill out the front fully, you'll have some pointy business at the top of the chest seams (see photo)

A surprisingly comfortable, easy fit for such a glamorous dress
I wore this dress to a 4-hour performance and was pleasantly surprised that the sequins weren't uncomfortable for long-term sitting. If you're short but curvy you'll fill out the skirt and raise the hem to just below the knee. The striking cowl back dips low enough that you'll need a stick-on bra. The name of the dress is quite apt: the color is a deep wine red (not Jessica Rabbit red-red.) Very flattering and fun to wear! I wish it was mine forever.

Modern, minimalist elegance
I had a last-minute event at the Met Opera and rented this beauty from the Flatiron shop the day before - easy peasy! The hem grazed my ankles (I'm pretty short) so I wore a high chunky heel. I paired the skirt with my own cropped, fitted Wolford top because the matching top (less fitted) wasn't as flattering. Its volume and elegance made me feel sophisticated, and because the waist hit high enough above my navel, there wasn't any midriff peep - totally appropriate for a client event and an elegant evening out.

Timeless, charming alternative to the LBD
With its classic square neckline and flirty full skirt, this dress was a joy to wear - it looks elegant and actually feels comfortable. (However, you'd better double-knot the halter tie if you're dancing.) The layers of nude netting under the navy lace are a bit sheer, so be mindful when choosing your underthings. I wore the 2 instead of the 4 because I wanted a more snug fit up top.

A gorgeous print with a beautifully constructed, flattering shape. Full chested ladies may fare better here - without a stick-on bra I didn't fill out the top as nicely as I'd have liked to. The hem hit below my knee, so I'd size down for your backup dress.

Perfect winter cocktail dress
The cutout back is designed for a longer torso but I was able to secure the extra fabric with double sided tape. Bonus for shorter ladies: the high cut in this high-low skirt looks fairly wholesome on those of us who aren't as tall as the model here. This full skirt moves beautifully and the heavy, lined fabric never clung.

Whimsical, feminine and sleek - a terrific LBD alternative
The 4 fit even better but arrived with some damage at the neckline, so I wore a padded bra and ditched my Spanx to fill out the 6. The hemline hit below my knee (so did the 4 - I'm short) but it actually looked like a chic midi. A racerback or strapless bra is best for this shoulder-cutaway design. The fabric has a little give to it - perfect for dancing!

Classically glamorous
This dress was a stunner at a springtime black-tie evening wedding that took place outdoors. The fabric is quite heavy - not a midsummer choice unless there's ample AC! There's definitely a mermaid-y shape to the dress, but the side ruching is flattering and forgiving. I wore my backup size 6 because the 4 had a fabric tear. Aggressive heels and a padded bra filled out the extra space nicely. Dancing ladies: watch out for the train! It's elegant when standing still but a little difficult to manage on the dance floor.

I'm usually a 4 and ordered a 4 (even after reading the other reviews - I was a fool!). There was no 6 available for my event date, so I took a big risk and lost: the zipper didn't go past my waist. A beautiful but heartbreaking dress.

Sparkly confection that felt surprisingly grown-up
This was my backup dress for a formal Christmas event, and it was so adorable that I had to wear it *somewhere.* And so I wore it to a friend's casual dinner party the next night and was wildly overdressed. I paired it with a chunky cropped ivory wool sweater, black tights and black booties to tone down the sparkle. The right belt could dress it up substantially. The overlay is a sheer blush with metallic thread, and it's so light overall that it would be comfortable/appropriate for any season.

Liquid gold showstopper - not for wallflowers!
This dress was an absolute joy to wear, and I felt at home among the glittering ornaments at my formal Christmas event. The substantial boning kept the top in place securely and comfortably, and the full skirt was perfect for dancing. (Wear little tap shorts underneath if you're really planning to twirl.) Minus 1 star for the HEAVY fabric and a little fraying from use (very minor).

A seductive yet comfortable siren dress
Both the small and medium were clingy (in the right places, of course), but I chose the medium because I needed a more forgiving fit for a dinner party. As the evening wore on, the ruching on the sides allowed for some high-low improvisation of the skirt length. It's a stretchy jersey-type fabric that can be dressed down if you're going for a more casual look.

A sparkly, toasty number for a glamorous (and chilly) New Year's Eve
As there was dancing involved in my night I opted for the medium over the small (raised arms = raised hem). The fit was flattering with a kind of mod-looking silhouette. This fabric is heavy, which makes the dress perfect for party hopping and waiting for cabs but not so stellar for the dance floor.

Sparkly, glamorous fabric + a tailored look was perfect for a formal work event.
The dress is short but so am I. I'm not pear-shaped, but the top was a little loose in the shoulders and the bottom was a little snug at the hips. This is an ideal dress for classy winter cocktails - I wore this dress in South Beach and it got a little toasty.
