It's a really lovely dress, got several compliments on it.
Fit fine...little loose in the bust. Heads up though - you might as well consider this dress to be backless; either plan to buy a specific bra for it or plan to go braless. The dress has enough structure that I went without (and at 48 I was a little skitty about doing that) and I don't think anyone could tell.

Very pretty!
The detail on the dress is really striking! I rented this dress and one other (a gorgeous black dress) figuring one of them would fit me for my event. I chose the black one only because this color is really attention-grabbing. I wasn't sure that with being on stage presenting AND wearing a bright "LOOK AT ME!!" color was the road to happiness for me personally. The dress fits beautifully, true to size. It isn't lined, though, which was a little weird (lack of lining was what cost it a star).

Got tons of compliments; all evening long everyone remarked how 'classic' and 'elegant' I looked. I carry more of my weight in my lower hip/upper thigh and I admit it was just the slightest little bit snug there, but it's a matte fabric so it didn't look too tight. You will have trouble lifting your arms above shoulder height in this dress (due to the little cap sleeve). You'll have to wear a strapless bra. Very very attractive dress.

I really wanted this to work for me, I really did.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit old for going braless, so the 'no-bra' was a dealbreaker. Maybe I just had a bad size...it clung where I didn't want it to cling, and I needed shapewear to smooth out the bumps. Pretty color though. This was for a gala cocktail party where I need to walk a pretty thin line between "covered up" and "sexy". Slinky I can usually do, so that's what drew me to this dress.

This runs a little smaller than I expected; I normally wear a 4 in most things. The 4 FIT, but it was pretty tight. The 6 fit a lot better across the hips but the top was a bit loose. I wore it anyway...it's a great dress but you've got to have some body confidence wearing it!
