Beautiful fabric, slimming waist, and pockets!
The dress was great for a formal, cold-weather event (when paired with a shawl). The fabric is a quality brocade which holds its shape really nicely. I found the straps to be very slightly long, and the plunge to be a little too plunging. I wore one of those NuBras with this (totally recommend the #900 Super Padded Adhesive for smaller busts -- just make sure you put the cups on separately with the fastener pointing DOWN, and then join them together in the middle), but the cups kept wanting to peek out as the dress shifted... So we made an emergency stop to CVS to buy safety pins before our event. I ended up using two black safety pins to pin the bra to the dress, which worked. Highly recommend having black safety pins on-hand before this dress arrives! Other than that snafu, the dress was great!

Beautiful, comfortable dress.
Great material, high quality craftsmanship. It seems like a silhouette that would flatter most body types. I had gotten this dress because 1. it has pockets! and 2. it looked like you could wear a normal bra with it. What I didn't notice was that the back of the dress plunges a liiiiiiittttle too far so the band of your bra shows. I managed to keep tucking the band of my bra down over the course of the evening, but the constant paranoia and adjusting was a little annoying. Overall though, a great fitting, comfortable dress.

Unique and Beautiful Dress
I knew this dress could be really good or really bad. Luckily, it was the former. A very memorable dress. Lots of compliments throughout the night. Loved that I could wear a normal bra with it. Two negatives: the dress is not dancing-friendly, as the skirt is pretty narrow and doesn't allow much movement in the knees; also the band around the waist has no give to it, so you have to be pretty sure about your sizing with this one.

Great party dress and surprisingly comfortable
A beautiful, shimmering dress! Easy to put on, good length -- short enough for a party dress but not so short that you're afraid to pick something up from the ground lol -- and the sequins didn't scratch against my arms at all. Showcases the tatas nicely without being too revealing. Lots of compliments! Highly recommended.

Perfect size and lightweight
These stood out against my dark hair, and were statement earrings without being cartoonishly large or heavy. And they can practically go with any outfit that you rent. I knocked it a star as they seemed like something I could buy from an accessories shop in the mall though. I'm not sure how these are "Runway".

Comfortable dress
I received lots of compliments on this dress. Kind of funny that I had people coming up to me going, "You got that at Anthropologie, right?" or "Did you get that at Ann Taylor?" I don't know why everyone was so obsessed with guessing where it was from LOL... Kind of weird. Anyway, the colors were beautiful, and would be flattering on any complexion. The dress was thinner than I had expected -- no liner or anything -- but that was fine as I wore it at a rustic, outdoor wedding. I feel like the waistline of the dress was oddly placed and a little droopy, which made some photographs look like I weighed more than I do. Not that I particularly care, but I know some people are all about their Instagrams. 3" heels, and the regular fell almost to the ground on my 5'7" frame. Overall, I was a happy customer.

Rented this as a back-up for a wedding, but I decided it was too formal for the rustic Vermont setting. It was a beautiful dress though. Some things to note: there is no zipper. I couldn't believe it. You have to slink into it, and the fabric reminds me of some kind of fancy scuba/neoprene blend. Also, the "train" of the dress was wrinkled when it arrived. Be prepared to steam/iron in order to keep the mermaid tail part looking fabulous before you wear it.

Pockets!
My friend wore this dress. She's athletic, probably 140 pounds (but toned), and 5'6". The size 4R fit her well. She had a blast with the pockets, and looked amazing at a rustic Vermont wedding. Only tip: you'll want to make sure you have tape to secure the dress to your chest. The straps aren't adjustable, and can easily allow for nip slips as it definitely has a plunging neckline. Not recommended for bustier women!

Great for a summer wedding!
I normally don't wear black to weddings, but this was a fun and playful look so it was perfect for a summer wedding. I loved that the dress wasn't too short, and that it was easy to put on (sometimes the zippers on RTR dresses are really stiff). I think some people had said that you don't have to wear a bra with this dress; I think it definitely looked better with one though. My only gripe was that the straps were a bit long. I tried to pin them, but I'm no seamstress, and the safety pin wouldn't catch properly with all the mesh netting fabric in the way. Oh well. Still looked great! Overall very pleased.

Unique but a little short
Beautiful, unique dress. Form fitting but forgiving and comfortable: really showcases the bust in a nice way and allows for a normal bra to be worn (amen!). I was surprised that no other reviews mentioned the length issues though. I am 5'7". I wore normal 3-3.5" heels to this wedding, and the dress was a touch too short. I could see my heels all too well whereas I normally prefer my long dresses to hit the toes of my shoes. Wish I had ordered a size long! I'm also not sure how to elegantly write this, but my boyfriend kept remarking on some odd wrinkling in the back that gave the illusion of a "butt hole" in the dress. Like, right in the middle of the butt, the dress puckered inward from where the end of the zipper was sewn to the liner and created a shadow... I just shrugged it off because while I was walking/dancing, no one could really see it anyway, and when I was just standing and chatting, the dim lights in the venue kept it from being too obvious. Otherwise though, I really enjoys wearing this dress and would recommend!

Great summer wedding dress
Really comfortable dress even on a blistering July day. I found the shoulders to be slightly big or a little stretched out -- not sure which. Even with a little bit of give, the neckline prevented me from raising my arms above my head, if that's a big deal to you. It wasn't to me (just meant I couldn't dance properly to "Shout"). Ruching and pattern make the dress very forgiving. Looked best with delicate earrings and necklace so that the neckline can be the headliner.

Unique and surprisingly versatile dress
Romantic and unique dress. I wore it for an outdoor wedding. Fit was a bit odd -- a little tight around the collarbone, but I had to deal because it fit me everywhere else perfectly. I have really small bird bones, so that was a surprise. In photos, certain angles can exaggerate the size of your shoulders so be careful of that if you're taking any nice formal photos. I wore my hair in a low braided bun style in order to show off the back of the dress, only to find out that 2 of the buttons that hold the halter up were missing. Luckily, it still held, and RTR's customer service team more than made up for it. Most reviews said to size up with this one, and they were spot-on; I normally wear size 0R for RTR dresses. As for length, I think I wore 3.5" or 4" heels with this dress. I'm a little over 5'7", and the dress was still a little long. The lace in it can make it extra clingy to the bottoms of your heels when you walk too -- a little hazardous. Overall, a nice dress, but not the among the best I've rented from RTR.

Classy dress
I tried this on at home prior to a girls' weekend in Vegas, and my boyfriend said, "You should wear that dress on a date with me." The good thing was that it meant it was a classy, elegant dress and just sexy enough. But the bad thing was I was going to Vegas, and I was looking for more sexy and less of the other stuff. Beautiful dress that fit great, but make sure the event is right. Probably too conservative if you're looking for comped table service in Vegas, but a great dress for a date night. Fit was great. High quality typical of Herve. I normally wear an XS, but got an S after hearing that it fits just as snugly, and I wanted to avoid squashing down whatever boobs I've got.

Stand-out dress for VEGAS
Super form-fitting without showing panty lines, and you can wear a regular bra with it (score). Dress was beautiful, but was a bit of a pain in the butt. It wasn't clear to me from the photos that it was made up of tons of sequins; I was expecting a gold-foil kind of texture instead. I needed to enlist 2 girls to help me put the dress on and off in order to avoid getting the sequins caught in my hair. I lost a good amount of hair trying to put the dress on myself during my first attempt. The sequins don't pull so much as gently comb your hair while you're wearing it though, which meant that all the effort I had made to curl my hair was quickly undone by the dress. I also suffered a few scratches on my body from taking this dress off -- even with my 2 assistants. Accessorized with gold hoops, which were perfect. Overall, I'd recommend, but just make sure you've got help!

I bought these earrings to go with the lace Nha Khanh ("Sweet Talk Dress"). I don't own anything nice, and it was on the model so I went with it. They weren't too heavy or too large (as earrings sometimes can be), but I don't think they enhanced the look in any particular way.

A classy, romantic dress.
This was a beautiful dress, perfect for a summer wedding. My only issue with it was that I was forced to wear a size slightly too large (2 vs. the 0) because -- as others have said -- the dress is otherwise so short. Inappropriately so, at least for a wedding. And if you're going to dance in it, the skirt WILL blow up, meaning that you need at least a couple of inches between your bum and the bottom of the skirt to avoid an embarrassing situation. I guess the proper-fitting, shorter version would only be OK for cocktails. Something else to bear in mind is that the back of this dress is so feminine and delicate and meant to be shown off. I'd highly recommend putting your hair up with this dress. All in all, the dress was beautiful, even with the extra inches in the waist.

Gorgeous, show-stopper of a dress!
This dress was gorgeous for a formal occasion, and comfortable enough to tear it up on the dancefloor. I normally wear a size 2 dress, and the 0R fit perfectly so I'd say it runs slightly large. Shorter ladies might have a problem wearing this. I'm 5'7" and wore 4" heels; I still had to hold my dress in my hand when I walked to prevent walking all over it (it wasn't dragging, but more like "skimming" the floor). Yes, as others said, the zipper is insane to try to pull up, and it has nothing to do with any strain that you're putting on the dress. I had plenty of wiggle room, and it was still very much a two-person job. Overall, gorgeous dress, and was a bit sad to have to send it back! Very flattering and received tons of compliments on it. Try pairing it with bright earrings (green or blue look great) to really make it pop -- as if it needed any help.
