These are NOT the comfort stretch edition
These are mislabeled. They are NOT the comfort stretch edition (which is 2% elastane) but rather are the standard perfect vintage (only 1% elastane). Still cute nice jeans, but the comfort stretch are a much different fit so don't expect these to run the same size-wise.

has its pros and cons
the way the waist is cut in this dress could be quite flattering. however, the material felt a bit cheap, and it definitely betrays any minor flaws more so than many black dresses would. I probably would have worn it anyhow but there was a rip in the armpit. also, the dress had an OVERWHELMING smell of some sort of perfume or cleaning product that I really did not like. Ultimately I wore something I owned instead.

love this dress! The 8 fit fine but the 10 was roomier and thus comfier. very comfy without a bra even though I'm not small-chested. As others have noted, the ribcage is snug. wish I owned this dress! I adore it.

Gorgeous, but ill-fitting
I think this dress is just not made for hourglass shaped ladies. Because of some issues with UPS, I was unable to get a second size sized up, but I tried the 8 anyhow. In most dresses I am a 6 or an 8 but due to the reviews had hoped to also get a 10 in this dress. The dress zipped easily and covered my entire body, but because of its shape- sort of a tight shift? It was lose in the stomach area and tight across the hips, creating a pooch in the lower stomach. It would not have be too clingy or uncomfortable, but it looked very unflattering. Ultimately I think this dress is probably lovely on very tall thin people, or women who carry their weight in their mid second and not in their hips and thighs. Really pretty dress, love the pattern and sparkle.

I ordered this at the last second worrying a Milly dress I had rented would not work for my office holiday party. SO glad I did- the Milly dress was way too short and this dress was PERFECT and so comfortable. It is a perfect dress for looking cute and being festive and sparkly without worrying about inappropriate length or fit. The shift shape is flattering and cute but not overly sexual. The length is just right on me. I think I would have preferred a size 6, but since the dress is relatively shapeless the 8 worked out just fine. Highly recommend this dress, would be reallyl cute for new years.

Really cute, but too short for my work holiday party.
Ultimately I couldn't wear this dress and was really disappointed because it is incredibly cute. It was much too short to be appropriate for my office party. Had I been able to order a size bigger that may have been doable, but I'm not sure. Really cute and fun for the holidays, but probably better suited for people 5'5" and under.

Way too short!
I am 5'8". A size 8 in this dress fits my body well in the waist and hips but is incredibly short, so I tried the 10. The ten was still far to short, the slightest movement and my butt was visible! This was sent to me when the dress I originally selected wasn't available, and while it was a very beautiful dress it was simply unwearable. My friend who is 5'3" tried it on and also felt uncomfortable. I think this is a great dress for someone very petite and under 5'3". Luckily I rented extra dresses just in case!
