Colorblock Love

This skirt definitely runs large. I wear a size 10-12, so I got a 10. I think I could've easily worn a size 8! It was definitely loose on my natural waist--however, I have a pretty high natural waist, and it's smaller in comparison to my size 12 shoulders and hips. Thus, go by your waist size for this rental. I gave it a 4 out of 5 for the loose fit, but it was a show-stopper. I wore it to work, and I received SO many compliments! To me, it's just a simple skirt with a mock turtleneck, but so many people loved me in it and the color. I would buy it if it wasn't so expensive--in an 8 of course! Enjoyed this rental and it's perfect for your fall/winter wardrobe!

Fun in Floral

This dress is super cute. It looked, to me, more navy than black, but it is definitely black. It also looks like there are tassels, but my dress didn't have any tassels...so I'm not sure about that. Either way, it still paired nicely with brown suede boots. I rented a size 10 because 12 wasn't available, and I think 12 would have been more comfortable, but oh well. The waist was perfect since my natural waistline is higher-up than most dresses. The dress is 100% button-up in the front. The waistline is meant to hit you almost at an empire waistline type of deal, with a little blousing at the top. If you are a 10/12 and have anything over a 38 chest, I'd recommend going with the size 12. I wore a tank top underneath, so no one got a free show! I recommend this dress for a fun, flirty everyday look.

I'm on Kate's website!

(Special note--@KateSpadeNY asked to put my photo in this dress on their website!) A quick overview: quirky yet fun, comfortable dress. It's short and probably not best for a conservative environment. I'm 5'6" with freakishly short legs, and I wore it with flat boots. It came up to mid-thigh and I made sure that my booty wasn't sticking out too much (I also have a bubble butt, so there is hope for the smaller bottomed maidens!). I paired with patterned tights and knee boots--LOVED it! I gave it a 4 out of 5 because the seam along the bottom/skirt kept folding upwards. Otherwise, it was well made and comfortable. I think it was definitely on the edge of what could be deemed "work appropriate" for me, but I thought it was quite fashion-forward for my workplace. Overall, I really enjoyed this dress and wouldn't mind keeping it for more wear!

Milly liked my photo on Instagram!

Wanna be the best dressed guest? BOOM. This is your dress. I posted a pic on Instagram, and even the dress designer commented: "Gorg!" I felt gorgeous! I actually almost didn't wear this dress, as it is VERY tight around my shoulders. It fit like a glove everywhere else, but I have a broad back and wide shoulders. Luckily, I was able to be talked into wearing it, and I regret NOTHING. (except for my abs hurting a little from sucking it in all night, but...). If you are comfortable showing off your curves and think you can handle a dress where you can't move your arms up all that much, then DO IT. However, for those who are a bit bustier, it may not be the one for you. I was right on the verge, and I usually get away with wearing a dress that is either size 10 or 12. The boning in the torso frame was quite fitted, but the rest of the dress has stretch and is easy to walk in. I loved loved loved this dress, and I will rent again for sure. But first, I think I'm gonna do some arm workouts so I can hug more people next time! :)

Bringing Sexy Back

This jumpsuit is a show-stopper. I added a bralette underneath in the front and a cardigan vest to wear it to work, and it did not disappoint. Not only did I feel fancy, put-together and work-flawless, I also felt super SKINNY in it! For an hourglass figure, it's a victory for your curves. To dress it up from work to party attire, I'd wear boobie petals and no bra to show off the back (it is cut lower, so definitely no bra for this piece). The length and draped front gives you all the right shape for a body-lengthening look. I would rent again for sure!

Pretty in Lavender

I gave the dress a 4 out of 5 stars only because it's not a perfect dress for an hourglass figure. However, it was REALLY CUTE and comfy with a little gold belt to give my torso some shape. I also received a LOT of compliments with this dress; I swear I could be an official RTR ambassador! It runs big, as I usually wear a 10-12 in dress size, and the dress's arm length and width was a bit baggy (I think you can see in my photos that I rolled the sleeves up). Thus, you may want to rent your true size and a size down just in case. Even with a belt, the length was still work appropriate--about 3 inches above the knee. I wore it with a strapless bra, too, to make sure nothing took away from the pretty lace embellishments. Overall, this dress won me over by the end of the day!

Fun For Friday

Rented this jumpsuit for a fall, work look. Paired it with a jacket, some fun accessories and a belt to give my hourglass figure some curve. LOVED it! Now, the only thing that may turn some off are a few things: 1) the pant length is, for me, ankle length. I thought it was definitely fun for a vintage look, so it didn't really bother me. I have freakishly short legs, too, so... 2) The back is not bra-friendly, so you'll either want to think about getting some booby cups to hold your girls in w/o a proper bra. Or, the other option, was to wear a bra (in my case, strapless), and then just be prepared to wear a jacket all day. For me, that was fine, too. Received lots of compliments! Loved this look!

Work Friendly w/ Accessories!

I rocked this number for work last week (late summer/early fall), and dressed it "down" with a fringe front belt, vintage drop necklace, and faux suede flat sandals in blue. I received many compliments and felt super chic for a day at the office. To dress it up for after work fun, add a pair of strappy sandals and remove the belt for a sleek waisted look, and voila! Would recommend for hourglass figures and women who are hoping to accentuate their waist and may be a little thigh-conscious. I think this dress flatters the waist and makes your legs appear longer with the slight hi-low front/back.

Work It

Others said this dress wasn't quite work appropriate, but I disagree! For me, the fit was perfect in the bust area so I didn't have to worry about the front opening too widely (but I can see that it could for a smaller bust). I ended up putting a sheer lace top underneath so that it didn't look too risque with the deep V-neck. I have an hourglass figure, so it did work with my body type. I gave it 4 stars because it's not the most flattering dress I've ever worn; it tends to be a bit top heavy. However, I paired the dress with a long necklace to elongate the torso and draw the eye downward and an up-do to keep the weight off of my upper body. The belt is stitched in place, so while it looks like you may be able to custom wrap and tie it, you cannot. Also, I didn't have any problems with it being see-through, so you don't have to wear a slip with it or anything. The skirted bottom does open up in the front, so you'll have to be careful about sitting down. I was able to drape both sides of the dress over my knees so that nobody got a free show. All in all, it was a fun dress to wear and I received a lot of compliments! I'm loving my Unlimited membership!

Hot AF dress

This dress is NOT for the faint of heart or for the less daring. It's curve-hugging and sexy in all the right ways. I received tons of compliments, and it made me feel super skinny/sexy/hot. I will admit that it was definitely out of my comfort zone, however! The cut outs are cool, but if you have any "fluff" it will stick out a bit. I had a great time wearing it, but at the end of the night, I was tired of sucking it all in! It's very form-fitting, so get those spanks ready, girls! Loved it!

Old Hollywood

I felt very "old Hollywood" in this dress! It's great for hourglass figures. At the time, I was a little shy about my arms, so it was a great choice. I received tons of compliments, and the material hugged my curves well. The only thing I noticed that was a bit challenging for this dress was making sure I had the shoulder material arranged correctly. It tended to ride up a little bit where the dress was designed to be off shoulder. Otherwise, I loved it and it was perfect for a winter/holiday work party!

Like Goldilocks

Not too long, not too short, and sleeves were just right. I love Trina Turk! That woman knows how to design for curvy women, that's for sure. This dress is more red than it is orange, and it pairs nicely with gold accessories. I wore the dress with a small, gold belt to accentuate my figure, as it is a bit one-dimensional for women who have hourglass figures. I received so many compliments, and it was perfect for a fall wedding! I would definitely rent again!

Loved this dress, but can be tight at waist

This dress was SO gorgeous. I think it wasn't constructed the best for my body, but I made it work. I could easily fit into the 12, BUT the waist/zipper part was not wide enough for my ribcage, and so I had to wear the 14 to make it work. And, thus, top portion of the dress was super big on me so I rolled the sleeves and straight pinned them to fit tighter to my bust. I think the waist band can be positioned either like an empire waist (right under the ribcage is what I prefer), but I am pretty sure it was designed to be positioned at the true waist. This means that the V-neck can be quite revealing/plunging. All in all, I had a great time, got lots of compliments and felt oh so pretty!

Pretty color

This was my first RTR dress. Very pretty! I was over my normal weight at the time, so I knew the 14 would be a little tight. As everyone indicated, the arms can be tight. I also wore this to an August wedding, which was HOT and HUMID. Bad idea!! Either way, I received many compliments. If you are between sizes, get a size larger just in case.

Small like bridal wear dresses

The dress was beautiful, but I was unable to wear it. The waist was positioned awkwardly for my body type, but worst of all, the width of the bodice was incredibly small. I now run pretty true to a 12, but I do have wide shoulders and larger torso width across my back. So...it fit fine in the waist (and was even a little big), but when zipping up the back, it zipped until about 5 inches from the top. The gap between where it stopped zipping was almost as if your torso has to be lean and straight, rather than the hourglass fit that gets a bit wider as you go toward the shoulders. Either way, this dress is exactly like the bridal store dresses--you know, the dresses that you have to buy a couple sizes up and then get altered. It's a win if you are a true size 10, as the 12 may fit you.

Gorgeous dress and flattering for an hour glass figure.

I would rent this dress again! I got so many compliments, and it flattered my hour glass figure nicely. I wore it to a fall wedding, and it was a hit. I'm 5'6" and at the time was about 25 lbs over my normal weight, however, I was still able to fit into the 12 (195 lbs).
