This was an odd fit for me, inconsistent with other Derek Lam sizing. It was very small in the shoulders and bust and sleeves. The size 4 felt more like a 2 or even a 0.

“Lady in the beautiful green dress”
This reserve dress arrived new with tags right under the wire at 5 pm the night before we had to travel first thing in the morning. I immediately realized I needed flatter shoes and a strapless bra. We went to Macy’s before it closed and found both items. Light spanx were nice but not totally necessary. I’m 5’8 and the dress grazed the floor in my bare feet ,only requiring a kitten heel dressy sandal. It’s gorgeous! The chiffon lightly pleated skirt is ephemeral, floaty, and feel very “be-witched era 1960-70’s. It was a fun dress for dancing and was a standout at the black tie wedding even though the majority of women wore black. My husband wanted to buy it for me! The cold shoulder allowed me to accentuate my nice shoulders? Whole the flowy long sheet sleebed helped me feel confident about my arms which are not as firm as they used to be. I got tons of compliments from my fellow boomers but also from the millennials and gen z bridal party gals.

Might be time for an expert at RTR to go over this dress. The clasp at back would not stay closed, and embroidery strings are hanging off sleeves and hips where the most friction takes place. Lovely fabric, weird ruching across tummy
This dress arrived new with tags, but I still had to lightly steam the waist and tummy area which has indeterminate folds. While the folds across the waist and tummy area are great for disguising a little extra pooch, on the end they were kind of distracting. At 64, I found it to be a flattering, conservative look. My daughter considered wearing it but it was a bit demure for a 32 year old who likes a less matronly look

Vibrant color and so many compliments!
Wore this for a presentation at a luncheon and it was a big hit. I didn’t notice that the see through situation was very noticeable because I had on some skin toned spanx. It does run small and tight—would size up one or two sizes.

Even though I wanted to love this high quality blazer, I never wore it. It’s a little snug and hit my hips awkwardly for my very long torso. Perhaps a 6 instead of a 4 might work better.

I might have loved it more if I had not worn it for toddler childcare at church. It was pretty short and surprisingly more snug than other sweaters I have worn by this designer. It’s very warm and not itchy.

Silver sparkle threads!
These snug jeans are surprisingly easy to wear even tho they are an odd mix of dressy silver sparkles and cargo jeans. I had rented the same pant in white jeans last spring and knew the fit was perfect, but I was surprised to see that the material comes off almost like a St. John type knit somehow. I wore them with a dressy blouse tucked in and received lots of compliments. They aren’t as sleek in the leg as they could be, but it was a successful rental.

Flattering and swingy dress

Fun Mexico pants
I dressed these exuberant, well-made pants down for Tulum with an olive green tank, but they are versatile enough to dress them up. Size 4 was perfect and true to size. I am 5'8" with a long torso and shorter 31" inseam and I was able to wear these pants with flats or a small heel. I kept them through a second rental to wear at another beach event.

One part sporty one part dressy
What a fun, easy dress---one of my favorite RTR rentals yet! Sizing was perfect with a 4, and the silky dress stands out with a vibrant animal print. Thankfully, the sporty ribbing at waist, wrists, and neckline take the slightly over the top leopards print situation down some notches! I wore this to a dinner awards Chamber of Commerce event and felt perfectly in line with "business dressy to business casual". Would rent again, but I wouldn't buy because this is NOT a neutral wardrobe staple.

Windbreaker season!
Windbreaker season! This cute jacket was my everyday windbreaker for early Spring and got so many compliments on it. The floral pattern would be fussy without the cool sporty stripe on the sleeves. One flaw is that the string cord at waist has heavy metal adjusters that feel awkward.

Fun Print, Funny Sleeves
This was a very easy sweater to throw on every day. It does get warm with the acrylic material. I rolled the sleeves up a little mostly. Super cute for February and a great rental. The sleeves are very EXTRA. I don't recommend unless you have long monkey arms like me!

This very bright red animal print coat works almost like a mink stole! It takes a black turtle neck and black pants to next level! It's very warm so would work for a Christmas season winter coat. Cute details, color pop, big shoulders!
This was a super fun sweater to wear in December. It is mostly acrylic so it wasn't too warm or itchy for the mild weather we had. It has a high low effect hem with the back sloping longer. So you get a little "poof" at the waist which is something to think about. I love the big 90's feel of the shoulders and the ruffles. Perfectly fun sweater and I recommend it if you don't have big shoulders.

Nifty fit with leather elbows
I wore this sleek sweater a lot once the weather turned chilly it's very warm but not itchy and quite high quality. The slim fit and elbow patches make this cute and colorful sweater very special. It looks and feels super high end. I wore it with high waist jeans, my white puffer, and some white sneakers and got lots of compliments, especially on the unique fit.
