The proportions were weird on this one. Didn't really work on my petite-ish/curvy/pear frame. The slit was about an inch below my bum, yikes. I barely got the dress over my lower half. And it was tight when I did. The bustline looks more empire in photos but was more towards my natural waist/mid-rib cage. As reviews said, there was no structure in the bust so fashion tape and or pins would have been necessary to get the shape show in stock photos. LOVED the print. Overall a disappointment

I really wanted to love this. The ruffle detail was fun and flirty and would have worked great for a rehearsal dinner. Unfortunately the hip/stomach area (where I carry my COVID 15) was tight despite the rest of the dress being snug/true to size. Because the fabric was so thin/not forgiving wearing spanx would have been visible at the ribcage. Keeping it on my list, but overall not the best for my body type.

I don't usually choose this type of dress because I don't think it works on my body (heavier in stomach/hips & on the petite side). But this one made me a believer! As others said, the dress is forgiving! The fabric was more scuba-like so it gave structure; when I added spanx it hid all my worries. The shoulder detail added a little something extra. I found myself adjusting the pleats every so often, wish they were tacked down. I felt totally comfortable and got tons of compliments!

Wanted to love this! The cut of the top was loose on me and made me look short waisted. The bottom just didn't do me any favors, I love the look of the high- low but the material and the way the skirt fell in the back made me look wider and my hips are already the widest part of me. Would probably work better on someone taller/with longer legs so the proportions of the dress don't take over your body.

I ordered a 4 and 6 as a back up for a semiformal holiday party. Ended up wearing the 4 as gave the fit I wanted but there wasn't much difference between the two. I carry weight in my stomach & hips but the material was thick/structured enough to hide all my trouble spots. Honestly would have been fine wearing without spanx. Giving 4 stars because the top was tight and smushed me down a bit. As a result I chose not to wear a bra -- however the fabric made that a non-issue. Would rent again!

I rented this as a backup style for an upscale work holiday party. The material, feel, and length were all great! I am always wary of tea-length dresses being on the shorter side, but this one was just right. The material is shimmery but just when the light hits it so it's not over the top. I liked it so much that I instantly rented it again for an upcoming more formal party.

I loved this dress, the polka dots were fun but not over the top, I fit right in at an upscale work Christmas party! The pockets were a lifesaver & didn't make my hips look wider, even with my phone inside. As others have said the top runs small/tight, but I was not uncomfortable & the fit on the rest was so good that I could tolerate it. I was glad to be able to wear regular undergarments & stand out without being flashy. Received many compliments, would rent again.
