Fits true to size. What stood out was the high neck, which I loved and the open back! Really light weight and flowy making it perfect for a warm beach wedding! Beautiful color as well! The purple pops! 

Loved this rental, wish I owned the dress! I felt amazing in it. The fabric is super lightweight which was awesome for a humid summer wedding. The back is really pretty and not too much skin. I wore a nubra but you don't even need a bra. I went with the 0R, I never even tried on my backup size. Since you can pretty much tie the back to make it as fitted as you want it only mattered that the waist fit. Length was perfect, wore 3 inch heels and it was just right although I stepped on the back a few times when I went from sitting to standing but it was just me being a clutz. This dress was just so pretty, I want to rent it again! 

This dress fits so perfectly! The back is absolutely gorgeous, I got so many compliments throughout the night. The length of this dress was slightly long in the back, but overall worked well with 3 inch wedges. 

The fit is adjustable since the back of this dress ties. I was concerned about "side boob" at first, but if you correctly situate (with assistance) the bodice of the dress there were absolutely no issues! I wore a sticky bra, but honestly you don't need one and I wish I had left mine at home. The way this dress flows when you walk is just beautiful and gives the dress an elegant feel. I paired the dress with 4 inch black ankle strap heels. I went with the long versus regular length, and the hem of the dress just danced right above the floor. I didn't want the dress to be too short and I was happy with the long length! I highly recommend this dress, and you can easily dress it up or dress it down. Enjoy!

This dress was perfect and definitely one I wish I owned. The straps adjust to create a perfect fit and the material was thick enough that I didn't have to wear a bra, however I don't have a whole lot up top so it may be different for larger chested girls. This dress was so comfortable, light and airy and perfect for an outdoor wedding on the water. The peacock print was unique and the gorgeous color really pops in pictures. Loved the whole experience! 

Love love this dress. I wore it to a bridal shower and then for an on-camera work event because the colors and cut looked so lovely on video. It's silky and vibrant, unique, and chic. The back is sexy, with just ties holding it together. I threw on a jean jacket though for an edgier look...and to cover my bare back!
Advice: this dress will be hard to wear for
 a. super busty ladies, as there's not much room for your boobs and def not a place for you bra 
nor
b. shorties. I'm 5'6 and even with my highest heels the regular almost grazed the ground in the back (it's longer in the back than the front)


This dress was a back up to a back up size of another dress that was not available last minute!  The staff at RTR is the best, they made sure I had an extra back up and made sure it arrived in time!  I can go on and on about the customer service!
This dress made me feel beautiful!  I wore it to a luau in Maui. It was so comfortable and no need to wear a bra, the back is super sexy too!

Fit was perfect.  I could have worn a 0R, but 2 still did the trick.  The dress was beautiful with the flowing skirt and the back was amazing.  Kept me cool all night dancing the night away in Playa del Carmen.  If you have the shoulders and the back to show off, this is perfect!  I wish I didn't have to give this gorgeous dress back!


This is by far my favorite rental from Rent the Runway and is probably the most flattering maxi dress I've found. I wore the 4L which fit true to size and was a great length to wear with 3 inch wedges. The top fit perfectly since you can easily adjust it by tightening or loosening the tie in the back. I had purchased a Nubra to wear with this but I didn't even end up needing it. Quite a few people commented on the unique print and shape of the dress. I felt great the entire night!

This dress was wonderful. For my athletic build it was the perfect cut. The "halter" highlighted my shoulders without making me look like a linebacker. I wore heels so had no issues with length. The wedding was "traditional" so the maxi length was perfect, the back was tasteful and elegant. I got many compliments on the pattern and look of this dress. I would highly recommend renting this dress -- and will probably rent it again myself! 

This dress was wonderful! I wore it for an outdoor bay wedding and loved everything about it. I ordered the 0R and the 2R and ended up wearing the 0. The zipper ends at your waist so this is really dependent on your waist size. The ties in the back mean you can make it fit to your size, as tight or loose as you like. I have a small waist but bigger hips, so normally I'm a 2, but the 0 was perfect, the 2 was loose. I'm also short (5'3") and I found the length was great. The slight hi-low helped. I'm not wearing shoes in the picture but I wore 3 1/2 in wedges and it barely touched the ground in the back. I wore a sticky bra because I didn't feel comfortable not wearing one at all, but the ties hold everything in nicely. This picture was at the end of the night, so disregard the dress being a little too far over on one of the sides, that was just because I was wearing a jacket and took it off and didn't re-adjust it. Anyway, great dress, I got a lot of compliments on it and love the back especially, and it's nice that the ties can be tight or loose.

I opted for sandals with the dress to save my feet for heels at the reception, but with the high low hem you should wear heels with it. The open back is very fun, you definitely can't wear a bra with it but the material is heavy enough I wasn't worried about anything showing in the chest area. The color is beautiful, a very vibrant purple and the pattern is pretty. I highly recommend the dress.

I wore this dress to a wedding and it was perfect for the occasion! I typically wear a 6 but wore the 4. I am 5'8 and wish I had ordered the dresses in long but weren't available. Lots of compliments!! 

I have a small torso and chest so anything that allows me to adjust the back is perfect! Made the dress look like it was made for me. I am 6.7 and wore 4 in heels with the regular length and it was just the right length. 

This was my first experience with RTR so I was very happy when my RTR  dress fit like a glove despite the fact that my back up size could not be shipped. Due to the mistake a stylist sent me 2 other dresses the day prior to my event and I was also able to select another dress just in case. Unfortunately the dress I chose did not arrive in time to even look at it, as I attended an afternoon wedding. Luckily my typical size fit!

I wore a Nu Bra as did other reviewers, mainly because it was cold outside, but if you aren't busty then no bra would be fine. The dress has a slight hi-lo which allows for easily walking in heels without feeling like you are tripping over your dress as with other long dresses. It was a great way to wear a dress I would never spend the money on myself! 

This was an incredible dress. I rented it for a rehearsal dinner and beach bonfire. The dress was the perfect blend of dressed up but also appropriate for the relaxed bonfire. I am usually a size 6, which was unavailable for my event, so I rented the 4 based on reviews that the dress ran a little big. The fit of the top was completely customizable with the tie back - I wore my stick on bra and felt comfortable all night. Loved the high low hem - perfect with flat sandals, and I didn't trip! I had compliments all night long from friends and family - I wanted to keep it! Will probably rent again, or make my sister rent it. Love, love, loved this one. 

This dress was gorgeous! I loved wearing it, felt beautiful and it did not wrinkle! It ran a bit large but I honestly could have gone up or down a size because the back allows you to adjust. I used double sided tape to keep the front in place. I would have loved to keep this dress and wear it again! 

This dress was perfect for what I needed it for. It was very comfortable and the length was perfect with heels. The straps criss-cross and tie in back so you can make it as tight or loose as you need it to be. I would rent this dress again for another event - I received lots of compliments and it was fun to wear.

True to size, and it is easy to adjust by tightening/loosening the back straps. No complaints, and so fun to dance in!

This dress fit great and was the perfect length with heels (I'm 5'7"). I loved the open lace up back, great for a hot summer wedding! The dress is more purple in person with some blue hues. Overall loved this dress and got tons of compliments on it! 

Can be worn with Nubra or none. Really pretty back. 

I loved this dress! I originally tried on an 8R at my appointment because I was told the European sizes run differently. The 8R was too big (I am normally a 0-2 in dresses) so I ordered a 4R & 6R for my rental. I ended up wearing the 4R and probably could have even gotten away with a 2R. The dress was so comfortable - I didn't have to worry about adjusting it every 5 minutes or feeling bloated after stuffing my face at the wedding because it disguises the whole stomach area. I loved the open back and it was the main reason I chose this dress. Length was a teeny bit long but I am also 5'1" so everything is usually long on me. Definitely would rent this again and wish I didn't have to give it back at all!! 

The dress fit perfectly. I didn't have to wear a bra with the dress, which made it comfortable the entire day. The fabric was light and breathable and the design was dynamic. Only a positive experience. 

I fell in LOVE with this dress. I still rave about this dress to my friends and received so many compliments! I wore this to a Father's Day catered dinner party and it was the perfect amount of casual and dressy. I'm 5'8 and the dress length was perfect to wear with sandals. It was extremely comfortable and the strings let you tie the dress as light or loose as you want. I wore it with a sticky bra as well. I highly recommend this dress! I also wore the KENDRA SCOTT Turq Deily Earrings and they perfectly complemented the dress!

I fell in love with this maxi!! It's so easy to dress up or dress down - I ended up just wearing it to dinner at the beach but have already rented it for my friends rehearsal dinner. The fabric is light and comfortable, making it a great option for a summer night. One thing to note on the fit, it's basically backless so you  either need to wear a Nu bra or nothing. You're able to adjust the straps in the back though to make it tighter if you want - that's what i did and I felt fine!

The entire back is basically open. Probably not best for women with large breasts. I am 34 B and I had some side boob showing at times. 

I rented this for an outdoor wedding on the water in Charleston in August.  My main concern for the event was being comfortable, since it is incredibly humid and hot and the wedding was entirely outside.  The dress was perfect for the occasion.  The open back was really sexy.  Although I don't typically wear a maxi style dress, I really liked the way this looked and would definitely recommend!

This dress was perfect for the afternoon-into-evening wedding of my new brother and sister-in-law this past June. Since the back is out I brought a shawl for the church ceremony. But overall it was comfortable, flattering and festive!

This dress was a back up.  The colors are beautiful in person. Runs true to size but I might have liked to see the next size up to see if the back would hang differently. 

I was looking for a maxi that wasn't too formal and this was perfect. The colors and pattern were beautiful, and the cut was very flattering and unique, especially the back. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the high/low hem, but I used fashion tape to fold up the back so it wasn't dragging.

I was concerned about the dress being too long since petite sizes were all reserved, but with 3-inch heels, it was the perfect length! The dress was super comfortable and fun. 

Loved this dress! It was so fun to wear! The open back was great to show some skin mixed with the long length of the dress! I pinned a bra to the inside of the dress and tucked the straps in the cups to have more shape!!!! I wore with a denim jacket and booties!! 

The fabric was heavy enough so there was no Marilyn moment but also light enough to breathe.

Length was perfect. I wore with medium height (non platform) heels.  Adjustable straps work wonderfully so dress felt secure and fitted.  Its very flattering for the waist but de-emphasizes hips.  Highly recommend!

I rented this for our engagement photo shoot on the beach. The fabric was so beautiful in the wind! Even though no bra can be worn, I had no issue with coverage, even in the direct sunlight. The fabric plus the print did a fantastic job hiding the girls; never had a "cold" moment showing through the dress and this I found to be extremely impressive given the windy atmosphere we were shooting in. The dress was comfortable and I liked the fit a lot. I felt so pretty in it and didn't need to adjust it the entire time, which is amazing considering it is backless. No tape was used- it is just that fabulous! I wish I didn't have to return it and would definitely rent it again. 

The halter top keeps everything secure, with a little side boob action, but nothing unmanageable (34C). The back is very open and you can tie in multiple ways/as tight as you like. Because of this, I was able to wear a size smaller than I usually do, which was great because my usual size was unavailable. Highly recommend this dress, perfect length, pretty pattern and many compliments!

I really liked this dress! Very comfortable and can be worn with flats for a more "dressed down" look or heals and some nice jewelry for a more dressed up look. I wore it both ways and it transitioned nicely from a day dress to a fun night on the town for my 30th birthday in Denver! Slightly looser in the bust with my smaller chest and broader back but the fit was still great and easily adjustable with the string back. 

I wore this dress for a birthday outing-winery then dinner.  It is my favorite RTR rental so far (and that's saying a lot bc I have LOVED some of my other rentals).  This dress is just so easy, beautiful, comfortable, flattering, and one of a kind.  You can wear it without a bra and the ties in the back allow you to make it fit like a glove.

This dress was perfect for a wedding where the attire was beach formal. This is the perfect fancy maxi dress that can be dressed up or down. The pattern and coloring is beautiful, and the open back is great too. I got ready by myself, so it was a little difficult to discern the best way to tie the back for my body. Also, because the back is adjustable, I thought I'd be able to make it tight enough to go bra-free, but definitely have a set of sticky boobs ready just in case!

The tie back is very pretty. It took a little time to set up, but keeps the dress in place well. I ordered true to size and the top/bust fit just right. If you have a larger bust, I would recommend sizing up. 

This dress was perfect was a quick fall wedding. It was flowy and light, beautiful colors that I paired with black but very well could have worked with silver or a light gold. The dress has adjustable ties throughout the torso to allow any size chest to be held in. The dress begins to flow above the belly button allowing coverage for anyone wanting to hide bloating, new baby bump or that drunken burrito the night before. 

Please do take into account, anyone with a large chest attempting this dress just know it's like a bathing suit in the sense that the more you have to hold in, the tighter the straps are. The wedding I attended was only 5 hours but by the end I was dying to undo the straps. I don't really have a chubby back (is that a term?!) but with the straps tight I did have skin bunching. I used my shawl covered it up and no one was the wiser. 

Overall loved this dress! I've never been able to wear one without a bra, so definitely a win. 

I rented this dress for a summer wedding. I am 5 weeks postpartum so I needed a dress that was flowy so that it didn't show my belly and this dress hid that perfectly. I wore the 2R but I really wanted a petite size (none were available for my date). The length on the dress was perfect because it was a high-low but I did have to pick it up to walk on some occasions. The top was a little too big/long for me and the mid-section wasn't hitting at the right spot but was still comfortable.  Only giving this 4 stars because of the fit on the top but if I would have had the petite size, I'm sure I would have gave this 5 stars.

All of the reviews said to size up but I wish I hadn't—I'd suggest going by your waist measurements for this one. Also, there were some reviews that said this was great for busty girls — Entirely disagree. It pushes your boobs DOWN. Unless you're somehow magically both large and perky or just a B cup or less, I would not recommend. I got a lot of compliments, but I also had to tape my girls (34D) to hell first just to get them to stay above my belly button. That said, the cut of it is very flattering for the midsection or big booty/thighs and the open back felt very sexy while also offering a lot of ventilation on a 90-degree humid-ass August day IN A BARN... so I appreciated that.

This dress was perfect to show off my tattoos and looked so great with black high heels. The material is nice and airy not too heavy, which was so nice since the wedding was at Virginia Beach in August! It was HOT to say the least. I am so glad I chose this! I even wore it out later that night for the after party with flat sandals. Perfect dress to make fancy or casual!

I rented this dress for a summer wedding at a lake. The fabric is absolutely beautiful. I loved how the dress moved and the fit was awesome. The straps (across your back) did dig into my skin a bit (I had my husband tie it way too tight) but once I fixed it, it was a very comfortable dress to wear. 

Perfect length! I am 5'3" and wore sandals; length was perfect for a beach wedding. The top was a little big in spots but I love any dress where you don't need to wear a bra. The adjustable back made it easy to tighten. This dress is super light and flows.

The back of the dress was just as pretty, although there wasn't much material to tie with, which made it feel less secure than I'd like. This dress was perfect for an October wedding. I loved the colors/print of this dress. The length was perfect on me with 4 inch heels (I am 5"2). The cut was very flattering. It is adjustable because of the ties in the back, so there is no need to wear a bra. The original dress I rented came back damaged and RTR was quick to reach out to me with other options. I couldn't have been happier with the dress and the customer service!

This dress was awesome and I would absolutely rent it again (or even consider adding it to my permanent collection)!  I wore it to a late summer outdoor family wedding.  It was the perfect combination of classy but a little sexy with the open back.  It fit beautifully, and the ties in the back made it easy to adjust.  I wore it with self-adhesive bra cups, but it probably wasn't necessary and was for my own comfort.  I wore it with 3" nude heels, and it was the perfect length in the back, just grazing the ground, and the front, just at my ankle.  The color was amazing, and the material flowed beautifully.


Fabric was nice--a nice weight, not too thin.  Laced back makes the fit in the bust easy to adjust. I'm only 5'4" so was worried about the length, but with 3" plarform heels, the dress length was fine. Also skirt could be tied up to get out of the way. 

I originally rented a different dress which turned out to be a fitting catastrophe. Then I was made aware that RTR would overnight me a dress to make it better. I was heading out of town and they shipped me a new dress to my hotel in Boston for a small charge and SAVED the day!  It came in plenty of time. Their customer service was AMAZING!

I wore the 6L to a wine tasting event for a bachelorette party. I'm a true size 6, but the tie in the back definitely allows for adjustments. My only issue with the dress was the bust, in that it somewhat compressed the top of your chest giving a flattened appearance. Overall beautiful, would definitely rent again!

I rented this dress for my senior prom, and absolutely loved it. It was the perfect, casual twist on a formal dress code, and the back made it a standout. I got so many compliments, and the adjustable back made it fit perfectly. I was comfortable and cool the entire night in a room full of sweaty teenagers (quite an accomplishment). Loved it, would definitely rent again! The 2R could have worked as well, but there was more fabric at the waist that just bunched on me. Wore with a sticky backless bra, but girls with smaller chests could probably go braless. I also wore 5-6 inch wedges and the back of the dress just barely skimmed the ground. 

I rented this dress for my senior year sorority formal. I was really nervous to rent it because of my chest size. RTR doesn't even offer an option for my size, I'm a 34DDD, but pretty petite otherwise. I've never worn a backless outfit in my life because they don't make sticky boobs in my size...but this dress WORKED! All the reviews about the adjustable straps were absolutely correct. I've never written a review before, but I was so happy with this dress that I wanted other larger-chested women not to be afraid to rent it. I didn't even wear a bra at all, but the thickness of the fabric and the ability to make the straps super tight allowed me to hold my chest up without looking saggy. I had to adjust my chest occasionally throughout the night to make sure side-boob wasn't happening, but otherwise it was effortless and perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend this dress :) 

Worn to a formal California wedding. Light and airy. Unique pattern and cut in the front were interesting without being too revealing, the back offered a more modern detail. Tighter fit up top, flowy past torso. Could eat and move all night!

Loved this dress and RTR customer service! The original dress I had ordered had an issue, so RTR specialists sent me this dress and another as replacements at no extra cost. I loved this dress and the strappy back! I wore it with a jean jacket and heels to keep it casual. Fabric is not heavy (one layer) and the asymmetric hem came to the bottom of my feet at the back (looked good with heels or without). The top can be adjusted depending upon how tight you lace the back. Overall, I will definitely be renting this dress again!

The back of the dress is very open and adds a little something to a formal event. I wore a size up because the 2 was a little tight in the bust. The length was perfect with 4 inch heels. The reason I didn't rate it a 5 was the design of the top of the dress. I think this dress would look great on a very slender girl who has great, slim shoulders/arms. In certain pictures my arms appear bigger than they are because of the design of the dress.

I wore this for a rehearsal dinner in Hawaii and it was perfect. The colors and print were beautiful, and the back was stunning. 

The dress was perfect for the wedding I went to. Ceremony was supposed to be outside but it rained and it was not black tie. The dress is pretty casual but can be dressed up with the right accessories. I wore the NU bra also which made this dress look so much better on me. If you have hips this fit may not be for you. When I first tried the dress on I thought it made my hips look terrible.  The cut is sexy and the length was perfect for me with 3 inch heels. Dress is quality material and stayed put all night.

I wore this dress to a bridal shower dinner in Seattle. Did NOT want to return it -I got so many compliments! It was a little chilly the day I wore it so I added a sweater, but the lacing in the back is amazing. I was truly surprised by how flattering it was -- really cinched in my waist and made me feel beautiful.
